The women at the counter must be the most unhappy crazy order taker that I have ever encountered in my whole life. Simple order for a machiato. She asked " What the F**k is that". Didnt feel like explaining , so kindly asked for a shot of espresso. She looks at me like I asked her to solve some huge quantum physics problem. I repeat my self and its at this point that she says that I can go next door to a specialty coffee shop. I tell her to have a great day and that this isnt the way to treat costumers. Whats so hard about a shot of espresso. I guess the buttons on the machine must not be labeled for her. Never should anyway be subjected to even being in this awful human beings presence. I wouldnt recommend this , even if youre dying of hunger and thirst.

Years ago this place was busy, with big fat yummy sandwiches. The gal asked me as soon as I walked in if I knew what I wanted, and didnt put her phone down until she rang me up...which seemed like hours. The sandwich was ok, the focaccia bread almost ripped my mouth it was so hard....toasted?, the physical plant is grubby, smoothy machine and cash register was dirty, floor seems like it was from the 70s, every crevice filled with black dirt. The peanut butter for the ice cream and smoothies was out without a cover on the shelf. Yuck. Last time. This place is beat. Hopefully someone will open something good when this place closes. Sandwich $9.00.

Id actually give Amsterdam a 2/3. Theyre food is pretty tasty and is fairly priced, however their services is terrible. Every time I stop in to order or pick up an order the woman at the counter is seriously grumpy and rude. I typically say hello and ask how a service person is doing and she just gives me a blank stare. The froyo is pretty tasty too.

Amsterdam Cafe needs better reviews! My wife ordered off Foodler for dinner on a Sunday night. We ordered around 8 and food arrived around 9:30. The sandwiches are great! Fresh, clean, flavorful! We ordered a Gyro Roll up and the Rembrant. We also ordered soup, not huge fans but not bad! This is a great place to get a good sandwich or a roll up!

Delicious food. Try the Rembrandt sandwich. its corned beef pastrami, Russian dressing Swiss cheese and Cole slaw. The frozen yogurt is the best. You pick vanilla or chocolate and they mix the toppings into it. I dont like the places where they put only a few toppings on the top. they blend the whole thing here.

Terrible customer service and they dont listen when you tell them "dressing on the side." I went back to ask for a replacement and they refused to make me another sandwich. Never ever going back. I hope they go out of businsss and a better place comes in because its a great location and close to my apartment.

There are much better options for sandwiches in South Boston. These sandwiches lack consistency, some days they are very good and other days they are barely edible. They have often mixed up my order and when I have let them know about the mix up they are aggressive or have blamed it on me.

Free WiFi while you eat. Great soup, coffee, sandwiches and meals. Ive had them deliver, as well and the food came piping hot, including my coffee and the delivery guy is friendly. Food is always awesome!

Good food and yogurt but the service is terrible, staff are rude and do the absolute bare minimum. They give you dirty looks when you walk in the door and are inconsistent with pricing.
