Went here for the lunch buffet on a Tuesday, after a disastrous try at a Chinese buffet earlier in the month (The Great Wall is terrible, fyi). This try worked out far better, the food was generally pretty good, though the selection was pretty small. One thing that Ive been missing here in Massachusetts, was that they had soda with free refills for once- the amount of sit down restaurants that dont in this area is ridiculously high! The highlights of the buffet was probably the sushi selection; they straight up make a couple of sushi boats (out of the cheaper stuff, sure, but still sushi!) and bring them over to the buffet regularly. Oh, and the price was better than a lot of the buffets Ive seen in the area- 13 bucks if I remember correctly. Not cheap, but not terrible either! 4.5 stars, rounded down to 4. Most likely will be attending again.

Instead of heading out for the Fireworks on the 4th of July, we headed to Bamboo for dinner! I enjoyed myself. I always find the food at Bamboo to be decent. Nothing spectacular, but its tasty. I dont eat Sushi, but I know my friends really enjoy the Sushi here (tip for all you Sushi lovers) The reason I gave it four stars is because of the service. 9 times out of 10 the staff looks and acts miserable. They can make the dining experience very awkward. However, my server last night was fantastic. He greeted us with a huge smile, and that remained on his face the whole time I was there! That one guy is what tipped my scale rating from a 3 to a 4.

NEW MENU - BEWARE Despite not changing anything on the website apparently Bamboo has a new menu. Lunch Menu no longer offers the already limited selection of appetizers (used to be chicken wings or spring roll with a lunch platter), and instead has raised the price by $1 and locked you into Miso soup as your only available side. After discussing the internet menu not being updated with David Lin and Renee O with no other managers available I was told "Its in the computer I cannot change it." Bamboo would apparently rather have customers walk away than to "accommodate" what their online menu says. They just lost one more take-out customer.

So I ordered the Philadelphia Roll and the Idaho Roll. While they give a decent portion size ($12ish for twelve little rolls), I was pretty dissatisfied. What was put on the menu was not what I got... I even confirmed with the hostess when I called, so Im shocked... The Philadelphia roll is supposed to be smoked salmon, cream cheese, cucumber, and scallions. The fish was RAW and tough. No scallions. The Idaho roll is supposed to be sweet potato tempura... But I found myself eating raw sweet potato. Both my sister and I got sick, as well. We will not be eating food from Bamboo again...

We had lunch buffet at Bamboo in Bedford today - it was spectacular !!!!! We absolutely loved it! We where so impressed with the decor, the wait staff and their appearance, the cleanliness and of course the buffet! Their was a great selection of perfectly cooked and seasoned items including true Szechuan style chicken and all the items you would expect to have at a Chinese restaurant as well as fresh and delicious sushi. There was a fruit and desserts tray and ice cream as well. Definitely our new favorite place for Chinese!

...the sushi is absolutely first-class and the Chinese food is the best in Metrowest, period. Its just better, fresher, and more authentic than just about any place outside of Boston proper (yes, Im including the Oishii locations and the various much-loved Brookline Chinese places as well), and better than a lot of the "great" Boston places as well. Skip the buffet. Work the menu, order a (reasonably authentic) Mai Tai, and enjoy first-class Asian food in a no-wait suburban setting. A gem.

I love going to Bamboo for their all-you-can-eat buffet lunch. Way better than most all-you-can-eat buffet options. The variety of hot food is really nice and the best part is the sushi is actually pretty good. The only downside is that sometimes the sushi isnt always the kind you want and Ive found sometimes the sushi is amazing with great nigiri options and other times its almost only california rolls. But definitely worth a trip if you are in the area.

Ordered spicy maki for dinner and it was very dry. I realized that the sushi they gave me was leftovers from lunch. The waiter did not give my order to the sushi chefs, but got my plate from the fridge in the back room. Also I watched the hostess pick up one of the freshly prepared sushi and sniff it, letting her hair touch the sushi...gross. what made it worse was the manager watched her do it. Definitely will never eat at Bamboo ever again.

When you go a place like this you expect a little more service. First the waiter argues with my wife with regard to the number of cups he could bring when we ordered a pot of tea. Then the manager came up to me and said that the tip is too low. Here is what he said: A low tip means that the waiter will pay more taxes. He needs a higher tip. Even if the food is good, this experience is not what I am used to so never going back there again.

While some items in the buffet are above average like the crag rangoons and dumplings the rest of the selection is pretty sub-par. The noodles are over cooked and over salted, the General Gaus chicken was too tangy and the sauce was extremely thick. Definitely not worth the $14 price. However, the side items like their sushi are good and the Scorpion Bowls will make you forget how average the rest of the food is.

As someone who just doesnt eat at Asian restaurants a lot, as always the menu is a tad confusing from traditional restaurants, and the language barrier is definitely a struggle with the waiter I had at least. The food was pretty good, but if youre someone who struggles with Asian food menus and how to bundle together a meal properly this place will be a struggle and prove to be more annoying than enjoyable.

The buffet was great. Absolutely nothing to complain about the and price was good for the food. ~$11 and that includes sushi. The wait can be a little long but I went around noon and you can understand why it would be so busy. Its just that good and if youre starving, this is a perfect place and atmosphere!

The sushi here is so good! We started with makis and weve gotten braver and braver now when ordering sushi and sashimi. We have never been disappointed. Everything is delicious and looks great when presented. They also have a great buffet thats packed at lunchtime. Their Chinese is very tasty!

I am usually not a big fan of buffet food because I am usually worried about how long food has been in the place and hands passing around the food. Bamboos buffet area is small enough so that means food is circulated and changed more frequently. And its good food too.

Bamboo is a nice place to eat. It gets very busy at peak hour, but the service does not suffer substantially. They make good Japanese and Chinese food for the most part. There sushi is sometimes so-so, but sometimes quite good... depends on which ones you order.
