I spend every morning here! Honestly, I really cant imagine not having this place as part of my morning routine. Featuring some of the best iced coffee as well as a wonderful selection of delicious bagels this place would be above the rest on that alone. What really makes Bagel Rising the single best bagel place around is the wide array of delicious original sandwiches they feature, from the standard morning fare: The Sunrise Sandwich (Egg, Meat and Cheese) to my personal favorite the Ike (Chicken Salad, Bacon, Havarti, Lettuce, Tomato and a thin application of spicy honey mustard....for me on a Cheddar Bagel). Be warned, it is quite common for the line to be out the door on the weekends from the early morning through lunch time. Despite this, I can honestly say its worth the wait. While they may not have the quantity of staff that you might see at your typical chain bagel place (Finagle, Brueggers, etc...), they make up for it with friendly college-aged folks that take pride in their work. The staff is always friendly and the quality of what you get is certainly noticeable. I will truly be sad if and when I ever move away and dont have Bagel Rising anymore.

Yummy Bagel, I love the veg combinations and anything with their avocado spread is yummy. The only problem I have is that the bagel itself isnt that great. I guess I have been spoiled in New York but a better bagel would make their sandwiches perfect. It can get quite busy. They have some seating but I usually get it on the go. The prices are pretty good. Its a good go to though and I have never been disappointed with the making of the sandwich.

Bagel shops automatically get at least 3 stars for being little circles of carb heaven. This place gets a bump to 4 stars for actually being extraordinarily delicious. My first trip was years ago in college, and a new friend asked me if I wanted to go for a "walk" to get a bagel. Sure I did! That was the day I learned that to her, a walk meant 3 miles at a very fast pace. Its a good thing there was a bagel waiting for me at the other end!

If youve ever wanted to film the native hipster/"liberal elite" poster children in their native habitat heres the spot! Its a small shop where sitting becomes a hot commodity after 10 on the weekends. The service is good and so is the food but as previously mentioned, prepare to pay hipster prices 10-25% higher than youd find at equivalent coffee shops. Essentially its either right up your alley or its not but either way youll be paying extra.

Nobodys raving about the coffee at this place? Simply fantastic, and the espresso is finely pulled as well. Drink both of them black, with nothing added, to get the true flavour. Always a friendly and eclectic staff, not to mention awesome music at this joint.

Back in the old days (i.e. when I lived in Allston 18 months ago), I would sometimes get hangovers just so that Bagel Rising could cure them. The line can get really long, but I dont think Ive ever actually waited more than 10 minutes.

Great coffee. Not talking about lattes. Talking aeropress & tasty, single sourced Counter Culture beans. Drip coffee is hit or miss on freshness. Wouldnt bother any time besides first thing in the A.M.
