Yay! Finally an Indian restaurant in Wheaton---about freaking time!!. These guys just opened so it is fairly spartan on the inside---pretty clean but definitely has the look of a take-out joint ( Although thankfully all the food is served in clean ceramic plates & appropriate silverware) . Im sure the decor will get up to speed soon. They can probably seat 20-25 people at this point . The food though was the real star here --- the butter chicken and the Samosa chaat appetizer were both excellent with the former being one of the best Ive had in Maryland. Even if you get it "spicy" the heat level on the Butter Chicken (which I highly recommend on this dish) is totally manageable. The lamb seekh kebab was juicy beyond belief and incredibly tender. Its on the milder side but still very delicious. However the portion size on the Kebab was very small considering the $12.95 price. Ok so now on the skip-it side of the menu are the "Momos" and all the "Saag" dishes --they werent bad but just pretty pedestrian -- so definitely not recommended:). The paneer was moist and juicy as it should be and the Dal Makhani was on point as well. Seriously try this place out---I was pleasantly surprised. The service is a touch on the slow side so perhaps not a place to go if youre in a pinch for time. $5.99 Vegetarian Lunch Special!!! 2 Curries and Rice plus Nan $6.99 If you choose a chicken dish + Veg curry $7.99 if choose a Lamb dish + Veg curry RIDICULOUS LUNCH DEAL There is a new chef as of 3/1/17 & he is amazing. Hes previously worked at both Rasika & Bombay Club in Washington DC!! This guy is legit & all the recipes have improved & are downright excellent!

1. The food contains sugar. Its basically sweet like pastry. 2. I have ordered 2 different things and they both tasted the same. 3. No indian food flavor at all 4. Dont be fooled by the price their food is average $11 guess what they serve exactly half portion of what you would get in a regular Indian Restaurant (like Indian Jewel). I rather pay $3 or $4 more and get a decent food from Indian Jewel. Hey guys believe it or not I had to reheat both orders and add tomato sauce trying to dilute the sugar. If it was possible to give them zero star thats exactly what this place deserves. Im still in disbelieve that I just wasted $30 for nothing. Ewwww Please go to Indian Jewel Restaurant to see exactly how to do this. Ewww!!!

Do not go to Methi. I went to Methi today with my three kids and a friend. One of my kids accidentally knocked over a glass and broke it. Everybody heard the crash but nobody came to clean it up. We repeated asked for them to clean it up but they refused since they claimed to be "busy". We were the ONLY customers in the restaurant. The guy who I assumed to be the manager argued with us endlessly instead of cleaning up the glass. He created an awful environment for my children between not cleaning the glass and continuing to argue causing my oldest to burst into tears. I will no longer be a customer there.

This is a 1/2 star rating. We live nearby, and have been to the restaurant. Last night, we ordered for delivery. In the restaurant, and with the delivered order, the portions are VERY small. Each time, we had a goat dish and a lamb dish. The meat is far over-cooked, and dry. WORST OF ALL - We used Yelp24 to order for delivery. The app allows choosing card or cash. We chose cash for the $32 order. The driver claimed he was not allowed to carry change - SO, HE WANTED $40 FOR A $32 ORDER THAT ALREADY INCLUDED A $3 DELIVERY CHARGE !! NEVER AGAIN !!!
