Highly disappointing experience. I made a reservation and they were set up nicely for us but thats where the positives stop. The place was almost empty at 1 PM on a Saturday afternoon. That should have been our first clue. Service was slow. The waitress was new and didnt know the food or drink menu. She was also tending bar. The place was way too dark for the time of day. The food was almost tasteless. The crab dip had very little crab in it. It was the same for the cream of crab soup. The MD crab soup was barely more than a bowl of spiced broth with hardly any crab or vegetables. The crab cakes had a lot of filler. I thought about it for a few days before posting this review because I really wanted to like this place. It came well recommended but all eight people in our group (all native Marylanders) said it fell far short of what a good restaurant should be.

Based on the reviews, we stopped in on our way to Ocean city. It was a select lunch menu, so we just got a burger. There were only two workers and the cook seemed to be busting her butt working hard. Our waitress was not good. I know she was one person, but for example, she gave us silverware but never napkins, drinks but no straw, fries but no ketchup. She dropped it off and quickly left and would disappear. We almost walked out before we ordered, because we sat for 15- mins and she said she would come back then disappeared. Others did walk out. I would have sympathy if she was hustling like the cook. But no! At one point she even came from our back eating crab dip while we sat there needing stuff. Bad service! I hope to try again!

My trip to this location was pretty lack luster. I waited for over an hour for my French Dip sandwich and fries. When it finally came out, it was over-dried, bland beef on a semi toasted roll. The fries, well there was exactly 7 of them, maybe 8 if you include the half-fry. The short of it is, avoid this place. The service is sub-par as the food is worse.

Date night with the better half. When we were there, the place was relatively empty (it was early lunch). Our server kept the drinks full and was very friendly. I had the Sheppard pie, and it did not disappoint me. Decent beer selection and a friendly atmosphere (and clean too!), what more could you want?
