Great location. Very cool menu. I spent maybe $150-200 last month at this cafe...however very disappointed. Most of the times the service was very bad. I went to so many times because of location.... I once ordered regular coffee and the person spilled the coffee all over the cup and never cared to wipe it. It was cold, dirty cup of coffee. I paid $3 for something that is 90 cents at MacDonalds. Another time ordered cappuccino and the Barista person did not steam my milk. It was plain cold cup of coffee. I paid almost $5 for it. Last time I ordered chai latte. I thought it will be made fresh...but saw that the Barista used a concentrate and then diluted it with milk. I was also cold. It again paid $5 for it. Anyway, I know $5 is very little money to ask for service, but Cmon!!!! Coffee is MOST profitable business. It probably costs less than 2% for the owner to make a cup of coffee....and he enjoys 10,000% profit.... Cmon it is not too hard. Please ask your baristas to be bit sincere.

3 Bean Coffee is an absolute gem in Baltimore. Located in the Federal Hill neighborhood, the coffee joint serves up cultured coffee within a warm, welcoming, and productivity-inducing environment. Like its many peers, 3 Bean is a small-ish sized shop but thats really what provides that warm ambiance. From the rustic interior decor to the woody color themes, the cafe draws you in and keeps you there. The coffee itself is great and while Ive had the occasional mis-prepared drink, Ive enjoyed most beverages Ive had here. Food options are far and few between but they do exist; if 3 Bean could up their food offerings, this place would no doubt be rated 5 stars by me. Its a great place to sit down and do some work or just grab a coffee and engage in conversation. So quit going to Starbucks and start going to 3 Bean :)

I went to 3 Bean on the day they were running the Gilmore Girls Lukes Coffee shop promotion - there was a line 30 people long and it took me about 35 min to get in the door - the staff was friendly and upbeat. I really liked the ham and cheese croissant, as well as the Counter Culture Idido coffee I had... Cute shop, Ill be back when theyre less busy - looks like they have a fair amount of seating for the area and comfy chairs you can sink into while reading a book!

Not cool. The 3 Bean team did not approve of me trying to order a coffee and scoop of ice cream to make my own drink, because they havent tested it. I was willing to pay for the coffee and ice cream separately (i.e. charging me more money) but was lectured before I could finish ordering. Im a bit confused on their customer service philosophy. I assumed an independent coffee chain wouldve been more flexible than the big guys, but my bad for assuming.

Small little laid-back coffee shop. The clerk was very well informed about what they had to offer and was able to explain their varieties. Very comfortable, laid-back atmosphere. Good place to work for the day or just hang out for a little while. Unfortunately, parking is metered parking outside. Lots of small snack options and many baked goods. Their nitro pour coffee was wonderful, some of the best in the area that Ive had.

Ice cream, pies, cookies and Oyeah coffee! What a cool place with a great vibe and atmosphere and ambiance fling for the place. The cold brew is a great idea and catching on. But if you dont want the caffeine they can accommodate with a decaf Americano iced coffee, delicious. The baristas were cool, friendly, courteous and very helpful with describing their coffee and assisting in selecting. Love this place!

The shop itself has a very large entry way but the seating is always filled with people studying. The staff is not that friendly, at least when I was there. They serve Counter Culture coffee which I think is shame seeing there are lots of local, fresher roasters. I got an espresso which was served up nicely but was lacking in flavor, probably due to the beans. I would come here again but it is not spectacular.

One of the best coffee shops Ive ever been to. The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly, the coffee is some of the best Ive ever had, the environment is warm and cozy. The pour overs are to die for, their espresso is always amazing and their seasonal menu is great as well. I wholeheartedly recommend three bean coffee to anyone who loves high quality third-wave coffee with incredible service.

Tried to find a coffee place after our museum visit. Google showed me this place was right across the street. I dont like bitter coffee (aka Starbucks), but I also dont like uber sweet coffee. I mentioned this to the barista and asking if they have any mocha coffee over ice. She recommended me the worst tasting coffee I have ever drunk. Even my daughter said it tasted awful.

My favorite coffee shop in Baltimore! I live right around the corner in Fed Hill and have to stop myself from coming here constantly. The baristas are friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is great. The coffee is top quality (they serve Counter Culture). The drinks I typically get are an Americano and Vanilla Latte. For breakfast, I recommend the croissant sandwich.

I had, quite honestly, the best latte of my life today at Three Bean. It was smooth, flavorful, and rich. I noted this to the barista, and he was very friendly in telling me about their new source of beans. Not that I think servers should be obligated to be friendly, but they always are at Three Bean. Definitely my new favorite.

There arent a lot of great shops in the Baltimore area, but this one is decent. The pour overs and teas are delicious, but stay clear of the espresso. The baristas are using excellent beans, but dont know how to dial them in. Every espresso I had here was extremely sour and telling the baristas gets you no where.

Coming in you have the baristas on your left, seating room to your right. The seating room has a little kids section in the far corner next to a couple of comfy low couches to relax on. There are a few tables and some chairs facing the Baltimore Harbour if you look across the street.

Ordered a chai tea latte and a chocolate croissant and enjoyed both. The croissant was warm and fresh and the tea was really well done. The shop has a nice feel to it, even though its in a little strip mall kinda thing right on Key Hwy it outclasses its surroundings.

A bit pricey (including the metered parking on key hwy) but the ambiance is great, the tea was excellent, the pastries *looked* scrumptious (Im not allowed to have them right now) and it was comfortable, modern, and clean. Ill definitely visit again.

Small and charming coffee place by Federal Hill Park. Ordered a latte and cappuccino with a friend. Both looked nice but were very burnt and sour. Spent $5 on this crap! Also they unnecessarily lock the bathrooms with a keypad code. Disappointing.
