Best pizza. However, they need some renovations to how they do business. I picked up a small pepperoni pizza this afternoon. I asked in a friendly way to speak with someone in charge and had some constructive comments for him. 1. When are you going to start taking credit cards? Response: never. Why? We dont want to pay the 4%. Thats 28 cents on a $7 pizza. Hmmm, seems short sighted. I suggested it would increase his business. Response: we would have to hire more people and that would lead to higher prices. A one item small pizza is around $7. Seems like enough room to cover the 4%. When are you going to add bottled drinks or chips? Response: never. Hmmm, take credit cards. Expand your menu offering? Every sound business idea was shot down. Basically, they are operating their business like it is 1955. Highest prices; no credit cards; limited menu, never advertises. It will be interesting if they survives once the old man kicks off.

Ive had Pizza from Maine to California. Each establishment makes there pizza different. And, yet a lot of them are very close to each other in flavor, design, and quality. However, Pizza By Alex is different. They do their crust different from anyone else. They even use a pepperoni thats different from anyone else. And, even though this next fact may put some people off, they serve their pizza in only one size. The size is perfect in my opinion. It leaves you full and yet you dont feel stuffed. Oh, you could stop eating when you felt full and save the rest for later. But, with pizza this good. You just dont feel right reheating perfection. The service is good & friendly. The wait is relatively short. And, the prices have always been excellent. When things are perfect. You dont screw with them. Keep up the excellent work Pizza By Alex! And, well keep coming back!

I went to school in Maine and I remember hearing a commercial about Pizza by Alex. It was about someone who used to go to UNE and moved away and was trying to order Pizza By Alex pizza to be sent to them in Washington DC or something. I used to laugh at how silly that was. Now, that I dont LIVE near Pizza by Alex I can 100% see how that commercial could be true! I drool when I think of their pizza! I go up to Maine a few times a year and I HAVE to stop at Pizza by Alex. There is NO place that makes such yummy personal pizzas. I LOVE it...actually I CRAVE it!!

Mine is it today was kind of Awesome it is delicious pizza you will love it once you first try it and its the best pizza I ever ever ever tried so you get it and you just taste one bite you might even want a whole like you might even want like the whole like pizza even though the pizzas like small it slices and I usually get pepperoni and bacon so when I get that it is 9:23 so go try out alex pizza or pizza by Alex whatever you call it

This is the "go to" pizza place in Biddeford and surrounding areas. Tried and true pizza making, crispy crust edges, melt in your mouth toppings. New ovens are great but my preference is the "old school" oven. Still served on cardboard plates. Times I lived away, Id get them half-cooked, freeze them, travel and finish cooking them when I got home. Tasted like I was still at Alexs....

Maybe its because it was I was raised on, but this is honestly my favorite food in the entire world. If I was ever on death row and given a last meal, I would choose a plain cheese "Alex Pizza" (the toppings are great too but this is the one pizza I love so much its best on its own). I give the decor and service perfect scores too because I would never want either one to change.

While located a little off the beaten path, this staple of Maine culture is a surefire way to enjoy both good food and good atmosphere in the comfort of historic Biddeford. The wait times are typically short, the prices decent, and the staff are quite amiable. Highly recommended by many locals and repeat visitors, this restaurant is sure to satisfy many and most expectations.

This is not thin crust New York or typical New England pizza. We read the reviews and were fooled in to thinking it would be that type. Basically its Greek pizza with that oily and flaky crust. If you like that type of pizza you will like Alex Pizza. I thought for the price it wasnt good at all, but again I dont like Greek pizza.

Been going to Alexs for 30 years. I love it every time. I also prefer the "Old Oven" mostly because I grew up on that oven. Its a unique pizza for sure, but its sooo yummy. THE CRUST IS WORTH THE TRIP ALONE! Ive lived in NYC, yeah the pizza is good there as well, but its all the same and you have to put up with rude New Yorkers.

Great pizza, only one size offered, a little pricey but the quality is worth the little extra money. The no debit/credit cards thing is annoying... But they take personal checks? Short sighted to say the least. They do have an ATM inside the establishment, but that hit me up for about 2 dollars in fees.

Ive been coming here my entire life (at least 2x a year when passing through the town for the last 45 years) and get a large order of half cooked pizzas to bring home. Alexs has always been a family favorite. Perfect sized and a great price. No other place (in my book) will ever top their pizza.

By far my favorite Pizza ever. These 12 Greek pizzas are amazing and perfect for one person to eat in a single sitting ort o save some later for a snack. I grew up in Biddeford so whenever Im back up there to visit, i must stop by Alex Pizza to order 6-8 pies to bring back home with me.

We made a special trip to this place based on a recommendation by a local and it was very good. There is only one size pie - personal-sized. We ordered the a plain, pepperoni, sausage and Alex special. They were all good. The crust was not to my taste - greasy, like Two Boots.

Pizza By Alex has good pizza. I frequently take pizza home from Pizza By Alex, and love that it is a consistent product. My last visit, even though they were quite busy, the wait for seating was short. Our pizzas were ready quickly. Its nothing fancy but the pizza is good!

The most perfect little pizza ever. I grew up eating these little delights and its my first stop for food whenever Im back in Biddeford. Update: I was there last week while in town for my cousins wedding and had my fill of this local institution. Keep up the great work!

Awesome old school pizza place from the 1950s. All pizzas are 10" and delicious! Ugly paneled walls in the dining room are a BONUS! Worlds smallest unisex bathroom. Tell them you "want it cooked in the old oven." I recommend the YaYa Greek. $9.95

Pizza by Alex is a real nice family business. They have a single size, which is about 9in or so. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a meal that does NOT come from one of those huge chains resteraunts, but rather a genuine bite to eat.
