This is the WORST restaurant ever. Trust me I know what I am talking about. Food was stale and it looks like its been there for weeks. Potato in somosa looked like rotten, saag panner looked its been there for a month and all the utensils are freaking dirty and rusted. All food looked dry and old. and chicken butter was literally Sweet. and the buffett price is $16., You got to be kidding me. This place needs to be inspected by health department since they been selling old foods. No one comes at this place and they never throw the food. I brought some friends looking at the review and it was v embarrassing situation .I am not v picky about food but we are talking about weeks or months old food, simply heated. this place is YUCKY. This is as honest as I can get. Owners are doing very unethical job serving customers food that will surely make you sick.

I have read the other reviews. It is a little dirty, it is an old building and there is a gross bar next door as well as some other food store on the end. At first, I didnt think I was going to be able to eat there because of the bugs too. BUT, the food is outstanding, the people are great, and the buffet during the week has samosas on it!. I have seen rats inside of very good restaurants in the quarter. Not sure if the bugs here are because of the strip mall or the restaurant, but I have seen the health inspector there twice and they are still open. I eat there as often as I can and is the best Indian food in town, in my opinion.

The best Indian food Ive had in the city. Butter Chicken, Curry, and Naan are awesome. Though I havent liked anything else on the menu that Ive tried, those three items make the place worth it. The lunch buffet is great, and they usually have a lamb curry on the weekend buffet. They can sometimes be a little inconsistent, that would be my only complaint, but thats true for a lot of small family shops. Salt n Pepper is the only other Indian restaurant in the city that I like. Hated Nirvana and Taj. I still havent tried Saffron on the west bank.

OK, when you walk into Tandoori Chicken you might have second thoughts, but give it a try. We have been eating at TC for many years, first at two prior locations and now here. The owners might not have spent a lot of money making the place look appealing, but the food is always great. We eaten at good Indian restaurants all over the country and have been to other, nicer looking Indian restaurants here in town, but I like the food here better than any of the others. It always has a lot of flavor.

I got the chicken Tikka Masala. First thing, Im a picky eater. Dont like olives, coconut, pimento, ginger.. etc. The sauce had some coconut and ginger but it wasnt overwhelming. Perfect mix. It had a bit a grease but that helps it go down faster. I highly recommend this place. Locals. I love Indian food. Ive been to England and Washington DC and had the opportunity to enjoy it. I was thrilled when I saw this place and its so close to my office.

Im new to NoLa and have now tried the 3 well known Indian fare places. This is the only one that I saw an Incredible dirty atmosphere and also 2...not just 1, but 2 German sized roaches just crawling around the buffet. I paid out and left immediately after that. Imagine what is behind the dining area... too bad because it is a nice family run place. ...just cannot have roaches around the food.

We just called for information and the person on the phone did not know what is on the buffet and also hung up before we even asked the second question. I am still going to go there and try the food since the reviews are so good but their staff definitely needs training on customer courtesy and answering phone calls. They might loose significant business if not addressed immediately.

Food is excellent!! My husband and I eat the lunch buffet quite often. We keep coming back for more because it is so delicious! I got the lunch take out special and it was great. The owners are always there and very accomodating. They wrap the lunch container to avoid spills and give a fresh, fresh piece of naan right out the oven. Thanks for great food. No more Taj Mahal for us!

Great food, absolutely loved it. Very authentic home style Indian food. Everything had wonderful underlying flavors of saffron and spices. Weve got a new fav Indian place. Best Indian food Ive had, if you appreciate good authentic food this restaurant definitely represents Indias home cooking. Atmosphere could use a little work, but there is definitely love in the food.

A small, humble, and family run establishment. My wife and I went for the lunch buffet and found it to be very good. There was a regular customer present who volunteered the highlights that we needed to sample. They did not disappoint. The owner let me know that the fare was northern Indian, and indicative of the cuisine of her childhood. We enjoyed it very much.

Had alunch buffet on Saturday $9.99. Menu this day was Tandoori chicken, Butter Chicken, Chicken Curry, Naan, White Rice, Samosa, Aloo Baingan, Dhal. Kheer, Gulab Jamun. Good food, if you dont care too much about the decor. Food was steaming hot, good service, run by a family. Would have rated this 4 stars, but for the decor and ambiance.

Ive eaten here a few times now, and yes it isnt the cleanest place but its absolutely delicious. The "hole in the wall" places are always the best, especially for the price. Ive never seen any bugs or had any specific issues with the cleanliness but even if I had i would still eat there. Generous portions and friendly staff too!

The quality of food was low. In particular, the naan was... maybe prepackaged pita bread that had been put on a griddle? On a Friday evening, we were the only people in the restaurant. The family that ran the place was very friendly, but unfortunately the meal was not worth the $17 + tip and we wont be returning.

Cockroaches ran across my table. The little ones. Not the big lost Palmetto bugs, but the "youve got a problem/infestation" little roaches. Up until then, the Butter Chicken was tasty, but everything else was so-so. The kheer was awful.

Hmm, I dont wanna give a bad review, but really the staff are rude towards desi people. Food is average, buffet has small range menu (cost is too much). Bit if you dont have any choice for lunch and want to try Desi food, I still go there
