I decided to go to this new restaurant that opened a few months ago downtown for their "Taco Tuesday" special. I just want to give props to the kitchen staff for pairing together some great flavors together, but as they may be too complex for the type of staff in that place. The staff from the managers walking around leisurely , to the kitchen/service staff letting my food sit for 10 minutes after it took 25min to make 4 tacos. The place wasnt busy! Also the bartender ( Rita) was okay, but she was too busy playing around with several of her friends and sliding them drinks to realize her food was not being brought out. I will give them time to work on it but for now , not a good start.

Bountiful chips and (solid) salsa are free with a food order. Cheesy, meaty dishes predominate. Decor and theme are cheesy too, somewhere between Hard Rock Cafe and Guy Fieri. Guacamole, despite being assembled beside the table, had literally no taste. With my eyes closed, I wouldnt have been able to tell the difference between a piece of onion and a slice of jalapeño. We covered it with salsa until it tasted like something (salsa). Service was attentive and drinks were what youd expect, with a long but completely vanilla beer list.

We waited almost 2 hours to get our dinner. Although the waitress was very apologetic, the manager was rude and couldnt care less about the awful service. Since it took SO long and we had our 6 month old with us, we asked for the food to go. When we finally got the food it was cold and soggy. The best part about this was that they were only offering a event menu. I cant imagine what the service would be with a full menu, but we wont find out because I will NOT be going back.

Ordered the 1/2 lb chicken fajita dinner during a slow Sunday lunch. It took 30 minutes to come out to the table. Seriously, it was a small, overcooked chicken breast sliced with onions. $20!!!!!! Just because one has the money to open a restaurant, it doesnt mean that they should. Another 3rd street restaurant that will fade away.....hopefully.

Great place where you can rock out for lunch or dinner. The food is fantastic I love the fish tacos the nachos enchiladas heck actually everything. Wherher to make a quick lunch, have a great dinner, or need to bring a date. The food is great so enjoy. Service is quite good.

The outside tables are the greatest people watching place in town. That keeps me coming, quite regularly, for a cold beer and the "ok" food. I really miss the previous tenants menu. Lava could step it up a bit and have a real winner.

Must have been an odd night, at least I hope it was. The waitron got my order wrong, disappeared, took a long time to come back, eventually brought the bill, disappeared again. Not a brilliant experience.

very nice restaurant the food is decent great atmosphere especially outside on 3rd Street. Perfect place for lunch or dinner date you get to see downtown Baton Rouge really grow.

Great Guac Mamma Mia Quesadilla was stellar Great margarita that was $3 and pretty large. Also very accommodating letting us sit at 10:30 when they close at 11.
