I was actually slightly disappointed in the ice cream because it tasted exactly like what the flavor indicated... impressively so. We tried the Arnold Palmer flavor of ice cream and it tasted (IMO) exactly like Arnold Palmer. Personally, I like having a little bit of that signature ice cream flavor along with the flavor(s) from whatever type of ice cream you have. That being said, the service was remarkable... very friendly, polite, and quite helpful. We did not feel rushed even though we arrived 15 minutes before closing. The interior was cute and had a very happy feel to it. There are also a few tables and chairs outside, which is nice. There were not many tables (perhaps 4), but the available space was very limited so they really cant add any more.

Poor customer service from one of the employees; she even yelled in front of everyone, "I look forward to you not coming back" as we were exiting the place. I have been to this place several times before and thought Id take my out-of-town-family for good ice cream, but ended up having the worst and most embarrassing experience that night. So, dear Comfy Cow owners: Your ice cream is great, Ive had it before but I will not miss it. I will never forget the way your employee treated my family. I realize youve become somewhat popular in the area and may not care what one person thinks, such as myself, but if you want to continue to grow, you may want to invest in hiring polite, patient, and courteous staff. Good luck!

The sheer amount of flavors and combinations that The Comfy Cow offers is worth 4 stars alone, but the taste of the ice cream itself certainly doesnt hurt anything. Anytime my wife and I get dinner with friends on the Ave, we inevitably go to The Comfy Cow afterward. Im a sucker for cookie-dough ice cream and am always satisfied (and stuffed) after a visit to the Cow. The service is pretty quick and the employees tend to be polite and courteous. The funky decor isnt my thing but a lot of people go nuts over it, so I suppose you can take that with a grain of salt. I always recommend this place to friends who are new in town and want some sweet treats.

I always enjoy the ice cream here! They have many rich flavours as well as some lighter ones like sherberts. They also have various seasonal flavours which are always fun to try. Ive not yet come across a flavour I have not loved. My only qualm is that I cannot have ice cream here every day :( the atmosphere is very interesting here too, although the staff here has been only decent the few times Ive visited this facility. Nothing bad really, just nothing extraordinary.

What an amazing ice cream shop!! The GM was super nice, funny and accommodating! The number if ice cream treat options was almost overwhelming, but in a good way. I never thought I would encounter an ice cream with such a great flavor profile!! #wowzers #icecream #soimpressed #pleaseopeninminnesota Pharoahs Fave - A special blend of cardamom and saffron spiced carrot cake ice cream with freshly roasted pecans and a decadent cream cheese!!!

The place itself has a lot of character and the staff were very nice. The icecream itself was average, just the same to me as a Ben and Jerrys or Hagendaas. I found it a bit difficult to decide on a flavour also because you cannot see what the ice cream looks like when you order it and some of the flavours like Miss Piggy dont really explain what the flavour is.

This is a wonderful, local fixture on the "very" walkable, restaurant filled Frankfort Ave. The ice cream is always interesting and excellent, the atmosphere is quirky and fun, and Ive never had a bad experience there. We live a few blocks away so we go with the kids almost weekly. Bourbon Ball Ice Cream... yes please.

The extraordinary flavor combos, creamy bases, and great variety of toppings; makes the ice cream cones, cups, sundaes, and shakes here supremely delightful. The Comfy Cow also sells ice cream pies and local cookies. This is the place to go, for intriguing and delicious treats!

Visited during their busiest time and they refused to have the seating area open. Because they didnt want to clean it at the end of the night? Horrible customer service when a customer pays and wants to sit down with their group of 4, but cant because of staff laziness.

I had never eaten at The Comfy Cow. I had a piece of the ice cream Reeses pie and it was fantastic! My boyfriend got a salted caramel shake and it was almost gone by the time we hit the parking lot! I was very impressed by the food and the service I received.

The atmosphere is cool and location us great, but I was only moderately impressed with the ice cream. Great selection to choose from. Both my wife and I got monster cookie dough, and were more confused by the flavor than impressed.

Horrible customer service from one of the employees. Although I admit we were a large party with diverse tastes and dislikes, employee made no effort in being professional. Ice Cream was ok.will probably give them another chance.

Greeat scene, Im not sure about other locations but this one in particular is run out of an old house turned ice cream shop. It has a lot of neat knick- knacks and pictures on shelves and walls. Definitely check it out!

If you love ice cream this place is a must on your list. Forget the article but about 2 months ago the 50 best places to get ice cream came out and this was #2 on the list. There is a reason for it. Go. Here. Now.

The cow on Frankfort is a great shop. They offer a variety of different dessert options and have a menu of unique shakes. Their tables and floors are always clean. The decorations are interesting.

I love the Cow! Id give 5 stars but theyre currently going through a rough patch keeping flavors in stock. Growing pains. However, when theyre fully stocked NO ONE beats the Cow.

Fantastic, delicious flavors served with a smile. I love the seasonal changes and while the place is a bit expensive, the quality shows. Probably the best ice cream in town.

Very good ice cream in a unique setting. We have East Coast visitors at work who make a point of coming back here when they are in town. Love their Bourbon Ball ice cream!
