Not sure if it helps to share my experiences or not, since my impression is that this establishment doesnt care much for service. I live in the area, and visited Spring St a couple times last year. Both times, I waited at least 30 mins for a greeting, and service was generally poor from there. Naturally, after 2 bad experiences I did not bother coming back. However, last night, I was attending a concert at Headliners, and despite my prior experience, suggested myself and 3 friends meet at Spring St. for a bite and drinks- we had over an hour before the show after all. Well we arrived about 8 pm. 815 server acknowledges us. 830 we get to order, althogh we were ready since her first visit. 9pm we are informed that "there was some bad news". The band playing at Headliners called in a huge to-go order! They called it in after we placed our order, but they are a band you know, so their to-go order took precedence over ours, and oh yeah, they also took the remainder of the bbq- which is what I ordered. No worries though, I had breakfast that day. I requested something quick as a replacement, turkey sandwich. 10 mins later, no turkey sand. Server comes out to inform my friend that there is no lettuce for her salad. Oh. You mean the salad she ordered at 830? Yeah. Its now 915. Oh and the shows started! So at this point, we cancel the entire order, and we miss the opening act. Having been in the restaurant industry for 10 years, if I was the server I sure as hell wouldnt have brought a check for anything. But Im not one to ask for handouts. Check came. Dont worry, we paid for our beers. $23 for 4 beers. Myeslf and the friends I was with are very patient as we all work in the service industry, but this was downright appalling service. The server did not even offer an apology. And how the hell does a manager not get called out for something like that?! Kudos for being able to stay open for as long as you have. It seems like the regulars were treated fairly, but god I wonder what sort of torture one has to endure to become a regular at this place. I wish I could like this place- its very convenient and I like the ambiance- but this was definitely my last visit.

I also wish I could give 0 stars, because I was almost poisoned. My husband and I live nearby, and have been wanting to try this place out, to support the neighborhood. Everything started out OK. Typical pub fare, beer special, etc. Halfway through his wings, my husband held one up that was clearly missing a bite. (after it had been prepared--there was no sauce on the missing section, etc). So...thats weird. Then, I ran out of BBQ sauce, and asked for another little tub of it. What I was given was NOT BBQ sauce. Thank goodness I didnt actually eat it. One of the three things it could have been: (1) giving them the benefit of the doubt, it used to be BBQ sauce that had gone very bad, (2) it was BBQ sauce with a shot of alcohol, or (3) it was BBQ sauce with many nasty things thrown in. The texture was weird, it smelled extremely strongly of alcohol. I guess I messed up by asking for the BBQ at the bar, because the waitress had not been by in a long while...making her look bad? We decide we just want to get the heck out of dodge. I ask for a box for the rest of my food, and tell the waitress something is wrong with the BBQ sauce...her response? "Oh, did you want the other one you had?" Now, lets back up. When offering condiments, she never offered me "types" of BBQ. Hmm. Also, how did she know what I had been given? I feel very lucky to not be in the hospital with food poisoning right now. Oh yeah- they charge for bleu cheese dip and for the celery...I hate it when wing places do that.

I hope its possible to give 0 stars, b/c this place was awful. In a period of 90 minutes, my party of 9 were never addressed by the one server (who conveniently happened to be the "manager") who may have been the only one in the joint. One of my friends finally scraped together a pen and paper, took our drink orders and our appetizer order, went to the bar and placed it herself, brought back napkins, silverware, and menus, and took our food orders. We tried to ask the "manager" where our fries were and she said "I have no idea" and stomped off. My friend again went to the bar, got refills on our drinks, etc. Another patron stopped her to try and get her to take HIS order!! Finally a second waitress arrived after 90 minutes. At this point we were done with the whole thing. She was very apologetic but said there was nothing she could do b/c that lady was HER manager. When we tried addressing the manager and relaying how our friend had been doing her job and expected some kind of compensation, she curtly replied, "Fine, cancel your orders". We did, and walked out without paying for our drinks. Its almost as if the lady had a personal grudge against our group. I will tell everyone I know about this horrible experience and discourage anyone from ever going here.

Went to watch a game, the place was understaffed, they didnt know how to work the TVs, and they turned the game off 15 minutes prior to their closing time without any warning or apology. The waitresses are obnoxious, have no problem cursing you, thus rendering the mediocre food not worth the experience. Whats worse is they allowed a waitress who was clearly intoxicated to bus the tables which resulted in incorrect orders and constant interruption. There are literally dozens of better sports bars and local places to watch sports and drink, so dont even take the risk coming to Spring St. Bar & Grill, they might cut your game feed just for giggles.

Came here to try the wings because Ive heard how good they are and I will return for the wings. Theyre great! They have a mild and hot, both taste basically the same, just different heat. Theyre a little bigger than Buffalo Wild Wings and I dont think they have boneless. And they have home made blue cheese dressing. The service was great and everyone was nice. Came in on a Saturday night around midnight and there were only a handful of people there so it wasnt crowded or anything. I gave it just 4 stars because Ive only been there once and only had the wings.

Traditional bar and grill. Arguably the best hot wings in town, even if not as spicy as I typically order. A few local craft beers, but the mixed drinks are where they shine. Their long islands are some of the best in town. Spring Street usually runs a special on wings on Mondays for cheaper than I care to post publically. Very nice specials the rest of the week as well.

This used to be a GREAT place, but has gone downhill in the past few years. Ordered a margarita, frozen, with extra salt, I got a small glass of "lime flavored foam" with NO salt. Ordered a chef salad, got a modest portion of lettuce & deli ham with precisely 2 "grape tomatoes". I so VERY much miss the "Spring Street" of 6 or 7 years ago...
