We first tried applbees but after standing at the door for over 5 minutes we left and went to Tumbleweed. We used to have a tumbleweed by us we live in Northern KY. Everything was good, but we got some to go food for my son. granted we were here for the Eclipse stayed in Henderson, and driving to Hopkinsville in the morning. Pretty sure my son got food poisoning, we took him sliders to go. He ate them and also gave our dog some. within 5 hours it was coming out both ends. We had to stop multiple times on the way to Hopkinsville so that he could puke......I felt completely helpless. something that he has looked forward to for over a year, was completely ruined. He is still feeling the effects, missed another day of work, and not my dogs stomach is messed up.....Not sure what to do, guess I will call the restaurant and let me know, I did order the Medium well, so I hope they would no be under cooked.....but he hasnt are since he ate these, this was Sunday night, and it is now Wednesday..... Just beware if you order meat, mine and my daughters was fine

When we arrived at Tumbleweed it was very crowded because it was a "kids eat free" night. The hostess argued with another employee over who was going to wipe down a table for us. She eventually wiped it down herself and apologized for our wait which was really only a minute. Once we were seated the waitress came by and took our drink and appetizer order. We then ordered our meal. The appetizer came out quickly, but it was a long wait for our food. When the food arrived it was not hot, but it was good. While we were eating, the restaurant became very busy. There were several people waiting for tables while many tables sat empty. The wait staff argued amongst themselves about why things were not getting cleaned up. I have been to this location before and it seems that there is an ongoing problem with staffing. The prices are higher than the quality of the experience. It is not an awful place, but I would not recommend it.

After a long day of driving and being very hungry, anything decent would have tasted delicious. The brisket was edible, the ribs were not. We should have complained, but again, we were weary from a full day on the road. Menu stated both entrees came with fries, but we were forced to ask for them. After bringing our salad, the waitress said she would bring fresh made croutons, but never did. The $.99 margarita was good and the coffee was not bad. I left hungry and unsatisfied, and slightly grumpier than when I went in. Should have just had a couple more margaritas and ate the chips (the salsa was horrible). I may have still left hungry, but at least I wouldnt be wondering if I should be making myself puke as a preventative measure against possible food poisoning. Or better yet, maybe we should have just gone to Applebees...

This is now my third attempt to get a good, Hot, fresh meal from this place. The first time was undercooked pork. This was comped. The second time I sent food back three, THREE TIMES, before they were able to warm the food up and ended up being completely remade before fixed... Meal comped.... Now I ordered the same dish as the previous two times and they sent me RAW PORK!!!!! Are they trying to kill me? I sent it back.... The manager, without any look of compassion takes my plate back to be remade. ... While waiting he comes to the table and with a disgusted look says the meal was comped again and lays my check on the table! I HAVENT EVEN GOT MY REMADE FOOD BACK!!!!!! I guess he doesnt want me to stay! Hope this reaches someone that matters!

I was reluctant to try this place because of the bad reviews. I have to say, I am pleased with my experience here. I had the queso dip as an appetizer. I could snack on that all day. It had a very good flavor. One review mentioned that the salsa wasnt fresh. I agree that the salsa wasnt made here, but it tasted as good if not better than any name brand salsa in a jar. I also had the 3 enchilada dinner. Everything tasted great. They clearly didnt make everything here, but the food quality and taste was above average. The service was warm and friendly. Im glad I stopped here and gave it a try!

Would not give a half a star but have to give one star to get this review out for u guys to read hope u dont waste ur money like I did the waitress was awful steak taste old although it was cooked right was gonna give waitress a 2¢ tip but luckily for her she took forever to bring back my 6$ of change she come back to the table and said she had to go get change as if there wasent 6$ in register at 10 pm so got tired of waiting and frustrated over the whole experience we just left she making money she didnt deserve

The place had kinda went downhill, you walked in and it smelled like urinal cakes and the tables were sticky... BUT, not anymore. They have done a great job of cleaning up this place and quality in everything has went up. We LOVE their Queso and chips. We sure wish there was a Tumbleweed in Evansville, but its good enough to make the extra drive to Henderson to have some Queso and a nice meal. The wait staff and manager are very friendly and do a great job on taking care of the customer.

Well we were going to eat here... It was 9 pm on a Friday night. As we pulled up only a few cars in the lot, as we got closer saw 3 or 4 employees out front smoking... We drive to the side going to give it a try anyway and saw 2 employees smoking by the side door. So parking lot more less empty, employees out all doors smoking.. We moved on.. First impression would be that we would be bothering them and service would be slow. Applebees next door here we come.

The customer service is great and our waitress was wonderful on checking in to see how we were doing. Considering we were passing through via Chicago so Im not sure how I feel about Tex-Mex food. One VERY big pet peeve of mine are dirty cups or utensils. In this case, the cups appeared to not have been scrubbed well on the rim.

I love their queso appetizer & grilled chicken dinners. Food is almost always on point, unless you are there at end of day and the queso will taste burnt many times. They used to have a strong odor when walking in the door coming from the bathrooms, but that seems to have cleared up the last 2 times I went. 03/2017.

Went to eat here today and service was great. Food on the other hand was the worst. Another cook and I ordered medium rare steaks and we got extra well done that tasted like they threw it on the hot asphalt. We are laughing driving back home because we are sick to our stomachs... wouldnt go back anytime soon
