So we had an incredible experience this afternoon...after hearing about a woman who sells tamales from the back of her van on Friday afternoons after 3 p.m. on Old Morgantown Rd...we took off an adventure across the tracks. We didnt find the tamale gypsy, but we did find La Placita Antojitos,"The Little Place of Snacks." I was shocked to find a juice bar with jugos frescos and aquas frescos with beets, tamarind, strawberries, and jicama. I ordered an incredible juice with beets and pineapple. The fresh strawberry milkshake was outrageously good. The aqua fresco with jicama was delicious. The pupusas, tacos lengua, taquitos, garnachas chapinos, were all executed with perfectly with fresh ingredients. I can say without a doubt, La Placita Antojitos is among the top restaurants in Bowling Green and I will be back many times! All my WKU peeps need to check this place out. And Im still in search of the tamale gypsy...

La Placita offers true Mexican Cuisine to the citizens of Bowling Green. My friend told me about this place on Old Morgantown Rd and I was happy I decided to try it out!. The "Real Madrid Torta & Beet Juice" was quite amazing! The only thing that customers may not like is the ambience inside. Sure there are cool little items here and there representing Latino culture, but in all honesty it does have a dive or hole-in-the-wall atmosphere. If you dont speak or understand Spanish you may have to be patient with the staff or just literally point to the item on the menu that you want because the majority of the staff could not speak English. One man & woman could though. All in All I thought this place was really neat though!
