I must say this place is AWESOME!!! My 1st visit was 5 years ago on a Friday night for karaoke...the only "black" in the place and i was nervously offered by the sweet lady behind the bar, the all you can eat "Fried Chicken" special, after jokingly replying that I only like fried chicken if its in a watermelon glaze, some of what I assume were locals at both ends of the bar and myself shook the place with laughter. All were kind to me and made me feel right at home and it was no different the couple times I returned. I miss the place and will return soon...Try the tavern Manhattan and the Pork wing...you will NOT be sorry!!! Dont forget to leave money on the ceiling!

Definitely off the beaten path. Small Town bar and local gathering place. Might be the only one. Limited menu of course. Food was not bad. Had a burger and fries. Just okay. Wife had fish. A little better. The big surprise was the BBQ chicken wings. At 35 cents each it was a good deal. We dont drink but like to try new places to eat. Its a cool little bar and probably hopping on weekends. And some kind of weekly songwriting contest. Might be fun.

The tavern is a wonderful place! I have come the last 10 years with my husband and the last few as a family. My grandmother told me her and my grandfather used to come down once a week from Indy years ago to play poker! Hope to keep the tradition of coming to the tavern going on for years to come!!!

My grandpa recomended this place to us he loves their tenderloin. Everyone says they have great food but this service is not worth it been here 51 minutes and only got our drinks we waited 20 minutes for those! This is ridiculous and I think next time well come back at a later time.

My boss and I absolutely love this place. The food is great the drinks are better and the staff is indescribably amazing. Ive worked on the road a long time and have never found a place so comfortable to walk in after a Long Days Work.

fun to hang out with our locals. its a run down bar, but perfect for playing cards, catching up with friends, drinking beer. wish Lindsey didnt work there. she is the only reason not to go. it was great when Val was there!
