My wife and I were looking for a local Pub/Tavern we could go hang out in, either just us or with friends, and many we found were "too something", too loud, too run-down, too expensive etc. So we found Round the Corner online and went to check it out in New Pal. Its very clean inside and out, we even went to check out the "bathroom situation" and it was also very clean. My wife hates to hover and we were good there. Inside its got good modern paint and decorations and not too much cheapie promo crap on the walls. Some neon here and there is cool and with 6 flat screens theres lots of sports to watch. We wanted to try a couple things and our waitress Kelsey said they were famous for their pizza. They are, and we found out why. It is VERY good. Its a touch on the greasy side but still really good. We got the 16" deluxe and it was really good. We ended up taking a little more than half of it home so for the $23.95 or so it was still a good deal. Wed have had more but we also had the tater skins when we first got there and they were really good too....not greasy burnt balls of slop like at some places. As for drinks, one website said they were beer/wine only and that is false. They have the full gamut of mixed drinks, bottled beers and wine but NO beers on tap...so youre bottle drinkin if youre drinkin beer. Now that weve been there we will get the 12" pizza, no appetizer and plan on doing some drinking. Kelsey told us the Karaoke is a good time and so we plan to go back for that. Its family friendly too, kids till 10pm I think. There were kids there when we were and all adults in the roped off bar area. One thing Id change if I could would be a wall of booths on the south side of the room. They have backed bar stools at the bar and round tables everywhere else...A row of booths over there would really cozy the place up and encourage all-night hanging out but the homey feel and dim lighting make it a good hangout. Chairs are solid and padded comfy too. Weve definitely found our local hang-out bar!

Ate here Saturday night. Waitresses were ignoring everyone, place wasnt busy, the food was good, hd to go get napkins from an empty table because the servers werent paying any attention to the dining room, but the huge negative- My wife ordered a 7 inch pizza (9.99 on menu), the waitress asks what kinda sauce she wants with her breadsticks and explains that 2 came with it. So when the waitress brings the bill, it shows 7 inch pizza 12.99. I point it out to waitress, she snidely says " oh, the price has gone up since we made the menus." She snatches the bill, and runs my card for the amount and just drops it on the table and went back to the conversation with the other waitresses. I was livid. I just paid it because it would have been ugly if I would have went over to them and addressed it again. I wont be back and i will spread the word about it. $3.00 is gonna cost you a lot more.

We arrived just after 6:10. The restaurant wasnt very busy. The waitress was very kind, but several tables, who arrived, were served and fed before we were. Our check was delivered at 7:34. We ordered a burger and fish and chips. It took about an hour to get it. The burger was over cooked and the fish was cold. In this time, two other tables left due to lack of service and one other table made the same complaint as we; others who arrived later were served and fed first. If your intent is to dine here, I would go to Frosty Boy and a liquor store on your way home instead. My wife and I hadnt been here for about four years, and it may be that long before we go back.

When my favorite pizza place happened to close early one day due to an emergency, I thought I would order from here. Yes, they put a lot of sausage and cheese on the pie, but that is the only positive thing I can say about it. The little ones ages 5 & 7 didnt want to finish theirs cause they said it tasted nasty. And I have to agree with them. The sauce was awful and the crust was pasty and horrible. I couldnt even get a pizza cutter through it. I would never, ever order pizza from this place again. We paid over $20 for it and we ended up throwing out most of it. What a waste of money!!!

Good food except for the one waitress who does not know how to take care of customers. Wanted to order take out for my mom who cant get out and every time she is working will take orders from customers who come in after me after I order a drink to finish by the time my order is done. Seems to happen every time i go in to order take out when she is working. Not one of my favorite place to go order food that is close to home

I like the food here, but the new owner will hopefully clean house of their sour attitude employees. I received a text message from an employee named Kelsey there, how this lady got my number I dont know....But she certainly had no right to message me about how her tip was horrible. Aka if you are a sour servicer your tip will reflect that.

Food used to be great when they had a "Chef" Michael Heller. Now the food is nothing more than freezer food that you can find at any local hole in the wall bar. Great place for drinks after you have a decent meal somewhere else. Food quality and portion control is something lacking.

We were just passing through town. Weary travelers! Needed to sit and rest a bit. The drink was refreshing and the bartender was very pleasant. The food served to other customers while we were there looked and smelled wonderful! Would definitely go back!

Dont go hungry, had to wait 30 minutes for our food. Hamburger buns were warmer than the burger. Not sure whats going on with the place. Not much in menu choice as there was in the past
