I visited the Ice House today and my experience was HORRIBLE. The waitress came after a while & took my lemonade order. After a few more minutes the waitress delivered my drink. I was patiently waiting on the popcorn. The popcorn is actually one of the items I was excited about. It never came as I watched her fill and refill others popcorn. After still not having my order taken, a group of 5 white men walk in and sit at the table beside me. The same waitress runs over to them with a HUGE smile on her face takes their drink orders and hands them two big bowls of popcorn. I held up my hand to be noticed and asked the waitress if I could have popcorn since I was there way before them with her body language saying I was bothering her, she said sorry thats the last of it. I have never been treated so badly at a resturant. So I left. Came back to my office and called the ICE HOUSE and asked to speak to the owner. A lady claiming to be the owner came to the phone. After telling the owner my experience she told me her best friends are african american and she was very sorry for my experience she repeatedly offered me a free meal. I declined the free meal and told her Id just like for her to talk to her waitress about how she treated me. I didnt want a free meal I just didnt want anyone else to feel SO SMALL. The owner said she would talk to the waitress and added how sorry she was this happened because "her best friends are african american" ONE MINUTE LATER MY OFFICE PHONE RINGS AND ITS THE WAITRESS CALLING ME BACK TO CONFRONT ME!! I WAS SHOCKED!! SHE ASKED MY NAME AND I TOLD HER AND SHE SAID WELL IM THE WAITRESS THAT SERVED YOU AND I TOOK SO LONG WITH YOUR LEMONADE BECAUSE I HAD TO WAIT ON IT TO GET FIXED. I tried to explain to her it wasnt about the long wait for the drink but she was SCREAMING through the phone defending herself and calling me a liar. so I just said please dont ever call my work place again. OH MY GOD. I was shocked. Not only was she rude and cold to me at the resturant she totally disrespected me and my workplace by calling me back to fight about my complaint. I dont know if the owner allowed her to call me back and confront me or what but I was and still am in shock. I heard this place has good tenderloins unfortunatley, Ill never know.

The food was pretty good. I had hot wings and a side of veggies; the main reason for the three stars. The service was meh.... she did her job but that was it. No personal interaction, no energy, nothing special. Granted she was waitressing the whole place, 2-3 other groups, whom she brought popcorn to. Maybe they dont give you any at the bar. She came back to me once to take my dishes and finally ask me if I wanted another beer. It was kind of dark inside, blah atmosphere.

Hot, no a.c. on. Why call your self the ice house if its gonna be hot inside. I get that there wasnt many people but damn, during the summer time leave the a.c. on during the day. Burger was alright, it seemed like it was over cooked on the outside. Waitress was on her phone a lot, she was the only waitress with 3 tables but on her phone where customers could see. She did keep my drink filled tho which was nice

Popcorn as an appetizer is Brilliant!! Had a great server who was right on top of our drinks and requests. The atmosphere is charming. We had the Saturday Special, Prime Rib. Figured if they have it every week, they should nail it, however, Im not use to tough Prime Rib like they served. Guess I should have stuck with the reviews and had the tenderloin! Oh well, next time! We be back, its a nice place!

Great service, nice atmosphere but the food is from a box or can. Canned chili served with stale crackers and cold. Cold boxed mashed potatoes with cold packaged gravy. Great popcorn tho. Definitely not worth the money. Wont be going back unless its for a cocktail and popcorn.

This place was VERY BUSY! The tenderloin is what I ordered and it was good but not as good as I was told... Should probably add another person to the wait staff... Anyway Id probably go back if it ever came up.

Very friendly waitress and cook. Only stopped for lunch and was fantastic for a little bar and grill that doesnt seem to stand out much from the ouside. Will be stopping by again next time Im in Indy
