Bee Coffee is easily one of my favorite coffee shops in downtown Indy. I go there every year during Gen Con and I never regret it - their specialty drinks are amazing, and the other items that they sell (t-shirts, mugs, etc.) are pretty cool too. The drink that I always get is the Serenity (it went by "Rivendell" during Gen Con this past year). Its a cappuccino with honey and lavender, and It left such a lasting impression on me that I try to have it made at every other coffee shop that I go to. Its definitely a winner in my book. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed too - just imagine a small town, university-based coffee shop and you get the idea. A few people have mentioned how clean this place is and I couldnt agree more. Its definitely a lot cleaner than most of the "Big Box" coffee shops that Ive been to (the ones that tend to be more green and black). The price may be a little high to some (most of their drinks range from $4-6 after tax), but you get what you pay for - quality is definitely one of Bee Coffees strong suits.

This could be my favorite coffee shop in Indy. They always have a rotating selection of beans from different growth regions. The espresso drinks include classic and inventive options. There is a good selection of pasteries to round out your cuppa. Seating is very limited with a window counter, a single table, and a few seats in the corner. I love how they take part in local events, like GenCon, with themed menu items. If youre downtown, skip the larger coffee chains and give these local guys a try.

I have seached Indy for real coffee, visited 4 other "coffee" shops(they shall not be named) in 2 days, and was about to give up when there was a small glimpse of hope when i found Bees web page. Real espresso machine and a real Barista to use it. I drove 30 min out of my way and wasnt disappointed. Finally got my morning latte WITH latte art that stayed till the bottom of the cup. Thank you Bee. Indianapolis would be dark without you.

This place is incredible! The staff are incredibly friendly, the drinks are delicious, and they even have prepared foods and snacks. My favorite thing about this place is how involved they get during Gencon and Comic Con! During Gencon they have punch-cards that let you earn dice, and during both conventions they have themed drinks! Generally the staff dresses up and geeks out too! Fairly priced too.

We ordered lattes with extra espresso shots and when we got our coffees it was all completely foam. For a $6 coffee, I expected it to taste like something other than foamy milk, I actually never got a drink of any liquid. Also we ordered a large and I said and a small but the guy taking my order said we dont have a small, its a medium. There were only two size options on their menu.

Very good coffee. Bought some coffee while at convention center during Popcon. They are conveniently located across the street. I had to come back the next day, from home, because my credit card was not given back. However they gave me free coffee for my inconvenience. Will definitely return whenever I am in downtown Indianapolis.

The Hand Brew Columbia is just as described with a nutty build to a semi-fruity finish. Atmosphere is pretty typical of a smaller coffee shop. I was able to sit and sift through a few emails and remain productive with the bustle in the background. Staff was friendly as well. Would recommend.

Bee isnt bad. We have a regular meetup there once a week and it works for that. It may be a function of the early mornings when we arrive but service is generally slow but good and the product delicious. I think theyre still figuring things out a bit so things may well continue to improve

What an awesome coffee shop. The barista was extremely knowledgeable, patiently answering my questions about the roast origins and uses. I even got some nifty recommendations about what to visit in the city. Loved the small reading nook by the windows. Great experience!

This place is pretty tiny, but the service and products are worth it! I ordered a strawberry-mango smoothie and it was amazing! The mango tasted really good and natural, which doesnt always happen depending on your cafe. Their pastries are pretty tasty too :)

Love this place. Very friendly and great coffee. They always stay open 24 hours during Gen Con and theme the shop and drinks. They also wear costumes that weekend. I usually stop by at least 4 or 5 tines during my stay in Indy for the convention.

They make a great cup of coffee. Located right next to convention center. Easy to get to. Decent breakfast burritos for not being Central US. Loved it here. Spent a couple days visiting this shop while in town for Gospel Coalition Conference.

Bee Coffee Roasters had some of the best coffee I have ever had. While I was in town I went there at least twice a day. They also typically have a wide selection of coffees to choose from and even have some exotic brews.

Nice people, strong coffee. I was bummed about their hours though. I was at a conference across the street and really wanted some over the weekend and found that it was closed.

Reasonably priced and full flavor coffee. They try to balance seating and mechandise sales given traffic flow. Good setting for a quick seat or grab and go drinks.

Honestly the best iced coffee in Indy. Right outside the convention hall and just WOW. They even do coffee catering with some notice.

Loved the cold brew, so delicious. However waited 30 min for it, understandably busy. But, also very small setup for a nice place.

How coffee should be: lovingly prepared from well-roasted beans. Skip the Starbucks and head to this local place instead!
