The food is good; however, last time I went I ordered a chicken and rice dish, well the chicken was bad I had to spit it out of my mouth. I told the lady the chicken was not good, it was spoiled as if it had been left out of the fridge. She didnt understand and offer to bring me another dish which I said ok. I get another plate and same thing, the meat was just spoiled and I just could not eat it. I said nothing more and left disappointed.

Pleasantly surprised to find (and enjoy) decent teriyaki bentos, tonkatsu, & chirashi -- common Japanese dishes scarcely offered in the Mid-west. While some of the sushi fish pre-frozen, they are always adequately thawed and--aside from the cephalopods-- seldom "chewy". Additionally, seasonal fish swim into the offerings. The Service quality always receives a "seal of approval" Simply put: Fantastic bang-for-your buck.

A hidden gem in Franklin. Found this place through a word of mouth. While all popular Japanese restaurants in Indy (mostly on north side) tend to be busy, Kumo was not busy at all on Saturday night. Attentive but non-intrusive service, and pretty good sushi and sashimi dishes, especially for a non-Japanese-owned, midwest restaurant. Im so happy to have found a decent Japanese Restaurant on south side of Indy.

I do not understand all the praise, but I suggest everyone hops on a plane and tries better sushi and then reevaluate their reviews/life choices. The buffet was subpar. Gyoza was rubbery; nigiri was questionable; sushi was often out of stock and flavorless; and most of the cooked dishes were unimpressive. I do not recommend this place for a buffet, but maybe the regular entrees are better.

I LOVE this place! Their food is amazing, the place is very cozy, and the staff is very friendly. I come here quite often because their lunch menu is a great price! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that likes Asian food. Its great!

Food buffet is really good, could have more of a selection but restaurant size prohibits that... food was hot and tasted delicious... if you are a fan of crab ragoon then this is the place you need to visit... wow it is incredible!!!

I come to Kumos in Franklin often. Friendly and attentive service. Price cant be beat. Try the Puppy Love appetizer: jalapeño peppers stuffed with spicy crab meat and fried up tempura style with a drizzle of eel sauce.

Always loved Kumos till it changed hands. Just left there, 1:30 and all the buffet was empty, told out would not be restocked cause it was late. No sushi at all. Old owners NEVER did that. Lost faithful customers.
