I am editing my first review, why? Consistency and great service is not done by accident here. I live about 120 miles from Tre Bicchieri and the first time we ate there, we happened to find it by chance on our way to Chicago (read our first review). This time we planned our trip to the area with the restaurant as one of the "must stop" destinations. We were as impressed as our first experience. We knew that we made the right choice as indicated by the amount of customers enjoying their lunch inside and outside (patio) of the restaurant. The ability to produce a solid customer service coupled with great ambiance and astonishing delicious food is not done by chance at Tre Bicchieri. I just returned from Italy a month earlier and the food at this restaurant is as good as the one I tasted there - Tre Biccheris food is as authentic and the staff is very friendly. I cannot wait to return, next time I plan on bringing some of my friends from Kentucky to enjoy this little germ in Columbus. I only wish that we could bottle their formula of great food, great service, great atmosphere and bring it closer to where I live. As a friend of mine says "...if I could bottle this, I would wear it as a perfume". I will definitely return over and over again. La buona cucina! Feb 21, 2011 (First review): Simply amazing - on our way to Chicago we did a search for Italian food near Columbus, IN - Tre-Bicchieri came up as one of the results and decided to give it a try. Having lived in Europe for over 20 years and traveled to Italy, I will say that Tre-Bicchieri hit it out of the park! The ambiance was great and the staff was very friendly, but the food speaks for itself - it was simply amazing. Portions were the right size and everything tasted freshly made. In my opinion this is one of the top three restaurants that I have ever visited as far as food quality goes. Will definitely travel from Louisville, KY to Columbus, IN to re-visit in the near future and will bring some friends. It was one of the highlights of our trip - thanks!

Quaint little restaurant in the heart of Columbus, Indiana. Pleasant decor and atmosphere. Servers are pleasant and professional. We had the place almost to ourselves on a Saturday night (we were told that it was unusually quiet). Soft, warm bread was delivered to our table, prior to our appetizer. Bruschetta was nicely done and tasty. The Caesar salad was fresh and nicely dressed. I ordered a medium Ribeye Vesuvio, which was cooked to the right temperature. However, when it arrived at the table, I thought I might have been given the wrong dish. The menu describes it as: Italian herb-encrusted ribeye, yukon gold potatoes, Italian green beans, grape tomatoes, shallots, white wine oregano sauce. Sauce. As in dribbled across the steak, right? Nope. It was served in a bowl, like a soup or stew might be, and was swimming in some kind of oily buttery oregano broth. Once I dug through the layers of potatoes, beans and tomatoes that was covering the beef, I found a piece of meat I would not have identified as Ribeye. It was a bit on the tough side (unheard of in that cut of beef) and was so overly seasoned it might as well have been a piece of chicken, for all the beef flavor one could taste. The rest of the dish was ok, but the Ribeye, which should have been the star of the plate, was a disappointment. Hubby had the chicken parmesan, which was nicely done and smothered in cheese. He enjoyed it, even if it could have used just a touch more salt/seasoning.

My husband and I were in town celebrating our Anniversary. I made my reservation a month prior to us being there with no issues. We showed up approximately 15 minutes before our reservation time. We were taken to a table where bread and water was already waiting. We continued to wait until 10 after 6 and not one person acknowledged us. Our drinks werent taken, we werent told someone would be right with us, nothing. Remind you there were 4 servers and 2 host. We were also only 1 out of 3 tables. Each one of the servers and host walked past and made eye contact with us several times. After waiting with no acknowledgment , we finally decided to leave and take our business else where. About 15-20 minutes after we left, we received a voice-mail stating they apologized and said it was because they werent sure whose table we were. They did say if we came back and they would give us a free appetizer or dessert on them. We had already found another restaurant at this time so we didnt take them up on this offer. Nor did we feel like it made up for us sitting and waiting so long. If I hadnt made a reservation they wouldnt have even had my number. There was no excuse for this poor service and I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. I have never wrote a review but felt like our experience should be known.

What ever possessed everyone in Columbus, In. to show up at Tre Bicchieri last night (9/13/12) is beyond me. Expected a moderately lively Wednesday night. But, despite the more-than-full house - the kitchen and staff excelled. We requested a quiet table (not an easy feat for that night) - and we took table, had a bottle of wine and waited for a quiet spot, which we were moved to as soon as it became available. The service, despite the very busy night, was good (and I know that on quieter nights it has been excellent). Despite the unexpectedly large crowd - the kitchen excelled. We were 5 people. The salmon and the shrimp dishes were very, very good. The lamb kabobs were spectacular! The dessert was wonderful. When we left, we were very happy campers. Kudos to the kitchen - there was every reason to have served less-than fabulous food that night - BUT they excelled.

Some friends and I dined here around Christmas last year and it is a quaint place but my meal was subpar, and when I asked the waitress for some additional sauce, I was told that there was no additional, all meals are made to order and that was just the way it was. Unacceptable answer. I havent been back. I have friends who did have an enjoyable and memorable experience so maybe I should give them another try.

Amazing lamb chop lollipop, probably one of my favorite dish. Very juicy and tender. Their house soup was delicious too( cauliflower and spinach). Wasnt too happy with the salmon i have ordered. Could have been lil more seasoned. But their mango chutney was out of the world with just the right amount of sweet and tang. Overall very nice customer service with good food. Would definitely visit again.

Went to this restaurant last night and I was blown away.. The chefs specialty sword fish was to die for.. My husband had the ravioli and it was so tasty, loved that fresh tomato sauce.. Cant wait to go back for a second date night. This place is perfect for those intimate romantic evenings with a loved one..

We celebrated my brothers birthday here last weekend. The food was very good, everyone in our party raved about it. The prices were reasonable, entrees from under $10 on the low end to under $20 on the high end. French press coffee capped off my meal in delicious style. You owe it to yourself to visit.
