I really dont understand the other reviews. The sushi was tepid which was very off putting. I got the spicy combo & literally had to scrap spicy mayo off just to try to eat it. This was the only sushi restaurant Ive ever encountered with spicy mayo on every table. Others were dipping their auadhi in mayo instead of soy sauce. The miso was fairly tasty, but was a brown broth with nothing in it. The one pleasant food was the ginger salad dressing it was a creamy ginger sauce, but was sadly served on white core pieces of iceberg lettuce. The waitress was an absolute pleasure & the only reason for two stars as opposed to one.

While its not the absolute BEST Japanese food Ive ever had, I am REALLY impressed with this little gem right in Crawfordsville, where non-American ethnic cuisine is hard to find (besides Little Mexico, of course)! Sushi is pretty good and the fried rice is great! I always order the Hibachi New York Strip and am always pleased. I also love that they use Yum Yum Sauce instead of ginger dressing on their salads.

I only had sushi (Alaska roll and Philadelphia roll) both tasted fresh and were well prepared. Sushi offerings are a bit limited compared to a full bar, but all the essentials are here. More eel and tempura than most places so our might have broader appeal to "sushi curious" guests.

Great and beautiful place. They have good service and great sushi. I have personally not have any other dishes but the sushi and for the small town this restaurant is in they make really good sushi. You can also call in to order and just take it to go, which is what I usually do

Sushi was 4 stars. Habachi was over powered with sauce (more like Chinese dish) salad dressing was not traditional ginger soup tasted off, way off. If your used to more refined Japanese restaurants stay clear unless you go just for sushi. Overall 2.0 stars

I love getting sushi here. The sushi rolls are fresh and large. I used to go to the sushi club in Indy, but they went down hill and so far I like Yamato in Crawfordsville better than the sushi restaurant in Brownsburg.

If youre looking for a nice, sit-down restaurant in Crawfordsville, this is the place to go. They have delicious Bento boxes, sushi, and dinner entrees. The service was excellent.
