Was somewhat busy. 70% of tables occupied. 5 minutes seated before server came over. 5 min for drinks to come out. Normal... 20 min before server came back to take the order. Approx 30 min before food came out. Didnt see the server for another 30 min and that was after we asked a different server for another coke. It never came. Asked our server for a coke and another ice tea. 20 min go by, flagged her down and asked again. Finally came and we asked for boxes and check... 5 min and all stuff delivered... then another 15 min before she came back to get it. Them another 10 min to bring it back. It was a split check and was stacked in 2 different trays. Didnt see the bottom tray. Reminded the server she was given 2 credit cards, to which the reply was.. "yeah, and if you look under the first one" as she unstacked the trays... I get it was somewhat busy, and she might have extra tables for whatever reason, but the attitude about the drinks and hidden card/check were enough for me to write a review. She still got 13%, but could have had 22% if no attitude. Food is good. Service tonight was less respectable than Dennys.

Ill start by saying that the chicken fingers are good (very good in fact) at The Village, but their service is another story. Came here with a couple buddies and got a table to watch the football game this afternoon, and for the first half all was well. We ordered food and kept ordering drinks regularly while watching, but after halftime the waitress stopped coming by our table and was avoiding us. When I did manage to flag her down and asked for another drink, it never showed. In no way were we behaving in an unruly or obnoxious manner and none of us were anywhere close to being intoxicated. The only reason I can think of for getting the cold shoulder and never receiving the drinks we ordered would be perhaps the waitress figured wed stayed too long, except for the fact that the dinner rush hadnt started yet and less than half of the tables were occupied at 3:30. Whatever the reason, neither myself or my friends will be returning anytime soon.

I had never been to this Village Tavern location and I will not be returning ever again. I ordered the World Famous Chicken Finger dinner with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. The chicken fingers were hot and fresh. The garlic mashed potatoes were lukewarm. I went to taste the taste a piece of culiflower and as pick it up from my plate, I see a long piece of black hair on the plate under the vegetables. I informed my waitress Angela F. I asked for a new plate of chicken fingers and mashed potatoes, but no vegetables. I received a new plate from the manager. He puts the plate in front of me and what do I see, a big helping of vegetables sitting on my plate. Before I could say anything about the vegetables he was gone. What little appetite I had after finding the hair ony vegetables was now completely gone after seeing those vegetables sitting on my plate. Thanks for ruining my dinner out Village Tavern in Schaumburg.

Ate there for first time today after several good recommendations and wanting to try someplace new. Turned out to be a very good choice: - the menu is diverse yet has focus with groups of food giving plenty of choices but grouped. Large but easy to go through and find a number of things that looked good to try. - 4 people, 3 meals, all were excellent. - Soups were excellent. - Service was good, crowd was large enough at 2 on a Saturday afternoon to indicate there is a serious customer base. - Left me wanting to go back and try some of the other items given everyone liked everything they ordered. - Only negative was it was a little cold and for those who ordered coke the mix was off today. Something I doubt is a long term issue since it is pop! Overall looking forward to returning and trying some of the other dishes. Definitely worth trying, and in our case going back.

Tonight I had the worst service Ive had in 10 years of coming to this restaurant. Our waitress (Tabitha) was rude, lazy, and provided terrible service all night. My group and I gave her several chances assuming she was having a tough day. However, time and time again she would sit down at our table to take our order and be rude and say very odd things as if we thought her sarcasm was funny. Proceeded to slam menus and center pieces down on the table and was very snippy. We had to ask another waitress to bring us water. And when my friend asked for a side of ranch with his salad it wasnt brought to him until he had finished. I heard this location was under new management. Overall I would not recommend the Schaumburg location. We left very disappointed, and we will not be back.

A friend and I went in there on a Tuesday night near closing. Walked up to the bar and there was no bartender. Turns out she was talking on the house phone with a travel agent about her vacation. She saw us but didnt care. Proceeded to keep blabbing away on the phone while we sat thirsty. Finally, the bar-back had to stop what he was doing in the dining room and got us our drinks. The bartender finally got off the phone but then got on her cell phone and entered the bar. She didnt apologize or even say hi to us. All we got was the check. Handle your business on your own time. Thats why people wont tip you. This is coming from people in the service industry.

This makes my top 5 restaurants list. Good thing I now live only 2 miles away from it! The food is really good. I always lean towards the chicken fingers because they are the best I have ever had. And that honey mustard that they make there? UNREAL. But everything else Ive ever had there, from the chicken breast sandwich, to the beef stroganoff, to the nachos, has exceeded expectations. Services is always quick and friendly and as a sports fan, I enjoy the quantity of TVs they have. Its a bar atmosphere, but it is very family friendly as well.

This is my Taco Bell. Once a year I go here to get something to eat and each time Im saddened. Blue Cheese for wings is consistent with warm milk, corned beef is cut far too thick and stringy for the Reuben and I just got the Cuban which for some reason had no mustard and piled on shaved lettuce. The salami Ill forgive as they dont know any better. Unless youre heading here for the decent chicken fingers or a couple of drinks with people you have no desire to hear because of the volume, save yourself the time and find a BWW of other sports bar.

Excellent Food, Great Service, Friendly Staff !!! Ive had just about everything on the Menu and Its all been terrific ! I would highly recommend this establishment to my friends and neighbors. *** One other mention, I spoke to the owner and he was open to the idea of a Military Discount to you who have or are currently serving to defend this Great Country of Ours. When you visit, let them know you are Active Military or Veteran, so they know we appreciate them as much as they appreciate us!!! ***
