My husband and I went to celebrate my birthday. Big disappointment. We were seated within about 15 minutes on the bar side - thank goodness because the other side was full of noisy kids - NOT what I had in mind for my birthday dinner. We were waited on fairly quickly - but then realized that several other tables around us that had been there longer than us and still didnt have menus. Not cool. We ordered 2 individual 8" pizzas. I ordered the cheeseburger pizza with NO onions but it was covered with onions. Both pizzas were served tepid at best - the outside was overdone and the middle of the pizzas were cold - not sure how that happens. We both ordered the Berghoff Root Beer on tap - it came to us at room temperature. Neither one of us finished our pizza. And by the way, by the time we received our pizza - the other two tables around us were just getting service - again, not good. We then ordered the Sweet Extinguisher - basically a skillet cookie with ice cream, cool whip and hot fudge. The cookie was burnt and the hot fudge was more like Hershey syrup - there was no thick consistency to it at all. We wont be back. There are a ton of good restaurants in the area - we wont waste out time and money on this one again.

Mixed experience for me. Went with the deep dish and boneless wings. I thought the crust had a great flavor, and the toppings were quality as well. Likewise, the boneless chicken was good quality. The problem was that everything was really dry. The wings barely had any sauce/flavor (Hot or Sweet & Sour). The pizza was light an cheese and sauce too, which despite the good toppings and crust, undermined everything. Order was for carry-out, which I know can make a difference too, but in this case there just wasnt enough sauce on any of the items. At the price point, I found it to be disappointing overall.

Firehouse has a lot going for it--good beer selection and good pizza. It suffers a little in terms of service and the physical location. Ive been here for lunch, dinner, and just drinks--service is usually better during the day than at night. The lunch buffet is a nice option, given Uptown pricing. The building itself seems weirdly split off between a family-friendly side and a bar side, as if the business has a bit of a split personality. The upstairs space is nice, but carrying a full beer up the staircase can be a little treacherous.

Waited for at least half an hour before recieving 1st drink order and another hour for food. Half of the food ordered didnt show up or was completely wrong for our table. After requesting the check, it took another 30 minues to even recieve our bill. Never considered dining and ditching, but then again they didnt seem to want to charge us... i dont know if they were understaffed or simply didnt care.

The pizza is ok- its priced fairly and there are a lot of options. The quality of service requires a lot of patience. Though my friends and I were seated relatively quickly, our server took 10+ minutes to come by to take our drink orders, and the restaurant wasnt busy. This has happened on multiple occasions. I would go elsewhere if you are looking for a quick meal out or for better-than-marginal pizza.

The service was very fast and everyone was attentive, and the crust is delicious. My main complaint is that I ordered a margherita pizza and it is not even close to what an actual margherita pizza should be....there was no tomato sauce, fresh basil, or fresh mozzarella cheese. It was just crust with sliced tomatoes and mozzarella cheese sprinkled over them... I was very disappointed!!

Great pizza, and reasonable prices. They have text coupons that are really great deals (text firehouse pizza to 90210). The servers appear to be good at what they do, it just does not seem like there are enough servers on the floor. Its got my vote for the best pizza in Uptown, so for the patient folks out there, I recommend it.

Firehouse pub is the only reason I go to uptown. You cannot pass up their $1.00 PBR (was Hamms) deals and $3.00 pizza after 10:00 PM. The atmosphere inside is immaculate. The prices of a small town bar with the decor and service of a high-class Chicago pub. Go there and you will know what Im talking about!

The pizza and onion rings was absolutely delicious. Not being familiar with this town while on a business trip, walking looking for a place to eat, we came across this pizza place. Not only is the food very good so is the customer service. I highly recommend this place and I am very pickey person.

Mediocre pizza and poor service. The room is also cold (no breeze way) and ambiance is lacking. The menu failed to list available pizza toppings. You had to ask and theyll tell you. Still, the biggest problem is the service. Tried it twice to see if first was a fluke. It wasnt.

I called them and they proceeded to put me on hold. The hold tone was a screeching tone that murdered my ears. I went to an ENT to test my hearing and they confirmed I have permanent hearing loss from this event. To make matter worse, after the hold tone stopped, they hung up on me.

Great food, huge portions for the price, friendly staff, lots of entertainment. I recommend the pasta bowls and the pizza. They both include their fresh homemade beer grain dough. The pasta bowls are more than enough for one person, good luck finishing it in one go.

Always have a great selection on tap, its doubled now! They have great tap takeovers from notable breweries and there pizza is incredible. Amazing wings too! They could be bigger though. Only flaw. Overall great atmosphere and fun place to unwind from a busy day

Been here a few times while visiting ISU. Each time we were here we had pizza and wings. Both were very good and I am sure we will have several more visits over the next few years. They have a good selection of craft beers.

Firehouse pizza is the most amazing pizza on the planet earth. The customer service is AMAZING and just suck up and they will give you a slice past 12. It is so worth it. Slices at Firehouse keep the world so happy.

The service was terrible! The employees were so rude. Im still in shock at how poorly we were treated. I worked at restaurants in highschool and college. I would have been fired if I treated people like that!

This place is great - fun bar, probably the best pizza in town, stupid-cheap drink specials. This was one of my regular haunts as an undergraduate (and hell as a graduate student too).

Fast service, and a great staff. Large bar with a great selection of craft beers. Once a month bar plays (sticky) and darts upstairs. Fantastic pizza served hot and fast.
