This place is one of the best places I have been to in some time. Our experience was perfect. I met a colleague for dinner on a Thursday night. One of the highlights of the night was service. It was simply perfect. Our waiter cared, was observant without overwhelming us and really made our experience perfect. I started the night with one of their "unbelievable selections" of bourbon. I had a "tasting pour" of the Jefferson 21 year old. It was wonderful. A tasting-pour is 1 ¼ ounces, while a full pour is 2 ounces. It was really good. My colleague had a glass of Cabernet. It tasted a bit off, almost jammy and we almost thought that was the way it should taste. The waiter noticed that I also tasted it and came over to ask about it. He insisted that he take it back, they opened a fresh bottle and it was a really good cab. I ended up having one with my dinner. For appetizers, we split the Scallops and the Seared Scallops with buffalo fried oysters, and the Steamed Buns with sweet and sticky flank steak. They were both fantastic. The buns were really fantastic, great texture, soft and just the right chew, while the stuffing was really GREAT flavor, just enough kick. They were served in a taco shape (check the photos) and were great. The Scallops were really good as well. They were served with some crispy rice which was an interesting texture. Really enjoyed that dish. For dinner with actually split the Cornish Hen Roulade. We wanted to stay with a small-plate theme so we could try different dishes. They actually brought us 2 plates, each with our portion beautifully arranged. You wouldnt have known we were splitting a dish. How awesome was that. And it was fantastic. The flavor in every part of that dish was really great. For dessert we tried the BlueBerry Fritters and the Pineapple Crisp. They were also a hit. We will be back (even with the 90 minute travel time to get here). This place is a hit.

Mothers day brunch. Doors didnt unlock until 10 and several people were waiting for 10 am seating. There is no entry way to stand in and the only person allowed to seat us (she had "a plan") took a phone call. They seated us in a main walkway where all the wait staff walked even though there were other tables for two that remained empty the entire time. Three course meal where the yogurt and fruit was the best part. Steak was overcooked and fatty, asparagus was too crunchy, cheesy eggs were runny. The potatoes were cut from a slab, but were very good. The carrot cake was just dreadful. The extremely bitter cream cheese frosting was supposed to offset the sweet of the cake. The rather tiny piece of sheet cake had virtually no flavor, no sweet, so it was just a bitter mess. The coffee was good enough but the Bloody Mary I had had a lot of ice and virtually no vodka. Bottom line, dont go to a dinner place for a once a year breakfast. The waiter was nice enough, but, once he saw we werent liking things, he quit asking how they were. He didnt want to know.

Weve been here three times (the whole family). Niche generally has good food. Some of it tastes great. However, there are certain plates on the menu that lack flavor and are a bit uninspiring - especially with their current menu. The New York strip (cooked medium rare) was tough and flavorless (find some salt, please). The sausage plate - not sure the pickled vegetables complement it well. The chicken basically had no flavor either. Not sure what happened but lately it seems like theyre cooking for a senior living facility - find some seasoning. Not what you expect when you pay a premium for your food. Its OK but at this price point, you can do a lot better.

Superb! One of the Top spots in Geneva. Very relaxed atmosphere, nice decor, artwork by local Brian Busch whos also a server there. Highly recommend Brian as hes a top notch server and well versed in the culinary arts and Bourbon! Must Haves Warm Pretzel Twists (Best pretzel twists Ive had thus far, next time Im ordering one just for my self, not sharing..lol) , Smoked Trout melts in your mouth and has a great smokey flavor, Lamb.Shank is fall of the bone and quite a large portion so perfect to share. If you have a sweet tooth like I do highly recommend the Whiskey cake & Butterscotch Pudding...ohh yaaa....just indulge ;)

My mother grandmother and sister had an amazing meal two years ago. The staff was outstanding and the food was absolutely fantastic. My mother and grandmother enjoy ourselves just as much this evening and the food was delicious. The service was top notch. I would tell anyone coming to this great town to make a point of eating here. You will be more then pleased...

Another place we go for special occasions. Its pretty pricey, but the food was worth it. I got the 16 oz ribeye, medium rare, that comes sliced with mashed potatoes on the plate. Wow. Everything was wonderful. My wife enjoyed her meal and the service was fantastic. Its one of those places you always wish you could go to more often.

We came upon this restaurant by accident. It turned out to be one of the most wonderful dining experiences of my life! Really delicious food prepared with intelligence, wit and devotion to the craft. Our server was very friendly, helpful and informative without being intrusive. A place to go back to again and again.

One of if not the best restaurant in Geneva! Their chef and kitchen always turns out very creative delicious food. I love that you can see influence from multiple cultures. Their drinks are insanely well curated as well. Beer, wine, or cocktails there is always something special here.

Great atmosphere especially for dates. The service was over the top exceptional! I remember the food being really good but not overly memorable. I would go back again but its not the top on my list of restaurants in the fox valley area. I prefer Prasino and Za Zas.

The food and cocktails are exceptional. Niche must be the finest bourbon bar in the Chicagoland area. Vinnie has curated an eclectic and respected number of the best bourbons in the United States. The food is incredible and artfully presented.

Big city feel in a quaint town, definitely worth a train ride from the city! Service is top notch, lobster risotto & scallops a fave. Not to miss - desserts. Banana brulee with peanut butter ice cream. That sealed it for me.

Excellent food (the Cure Duck is the best duck Ive ever had). Highly competent and non-intrusive waitstaff and excellent drinks. I also appreciated that the portion sizes were appropriate for a multi-course meal.

We had a very long wait, but it was worth it. Expensive- worth it. Food was excellent, presentation was wonderful. Jeffrey our waiter was top notch. He made up for the very long wait. Fabulous experience!
