Its 9 AM and I go to the goddess and the baker for a croissant and an ice coffee and some whole milk for my son as we are waiting for the childrens museum to be open. the milk that was on display was not refrigerated but I believe it should have been. So I asked the attendant about this and she responded she didnt know and gave me milk from a different source behind the counter. She to charge me $11 for the three items so I asked for an itemized receipt and she said she couldnt provide this and also claimed she didnt charge me for the coffee because they were out. Out of coffee?!! I dont know if she didnt feel like making a coffee or she wanted to pocket the extra four dollars not sure what the situation was but a very bad experience overall. I asked her to refund the charge for the coffee and she said she did but was unable to provide me any kind of receipt. All around a poor experience and frankly, sketchy.

Went to the one at Navy Pier. It wasnt busy, yet still had to flag down staff from playing on phone to get service. Ordered a coffee. Went to the end to put in sugar and they were out. Flag down staff on phone again to ask for sugar. She informed me they dont carry sugar and only sweet and low. When I asked her what usually goes into the empty container where sugar usually is she informed me she was not sure. Places like this need to go out of business.

Fantastic cafe in the Loop! Reasonably priced, good portions, fresh food, lovely variety of food and beverages. Excellent chai latte and coffees. Contrary to other reviews, my wait has never been long. Friendly staff, and sparkling water on tap. Love it!

This place is a mixed bag. I have had some very good drinks here, but I have also had some drinks that are poorly executed (Im looking at you Horchata Iced Coffee). There are few things in life that are worse than paying $6 for a sub par specialty drink.

I asked for a large cappuccino (listed on the menu), she said they didnt have them. Then charged the wrong price for the small. I asked what shed recommend for breakfast, she said they didnt have that. But, its a bakery..? Cappuccino was gross too.

Ive come here twice and ordered the chopped salad. The food is great but it takes at least 15-20 minutes for my order. Im usually the only person or first person to order with no one waiting for their drinks or food.
