In general the Coco Pazzo Cafe was less than good. It had 3 star prices with 1 star food. Not a restaurant that I would ever fancy going to ever in my life again. Its wait-staff was less than pleased to serve me. They through constant eye rolls and frequent sighs as I struggled to give them my order. And who could blame my slow ordering when their was less to be desired on that less than appreciated menu. So yes I took my time but the Coco Pazzo Cafe should learn a little something calle respect when waiting on a person of my elegance. Please do not misinterpret my review the food was well-cooked and creatively served but their overall performance was a little under a 3 out of 10! Dine at Coco Pazzo Cafe with caution because you never know what waitors/waitresses you may be given!!1

We had a great dining experience here and will certainly be repeat customers. We were seated promptly upon arriving at our reservation time and served by a very gracious waiter with a thick Italian accent. The appetizers were not especially comment worthy, but the main dishes were very good. Given the small footprint of the restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised with how open it felt. Overall, the wait staff and the ambiance made this experience for us. You can expect to pay about $30 per person for dinner here, but Id say it is definitely worth it.

If you dont mind paying for a good meal, youll love this place. I had a very kind waiter, contrary to what the other reviews say, and loved my food. The restaurant is small and quaint, and their wines are wonderful. I had just plain jane spaghetti, and it was SO delicious. Ive never had anything like it. Its been over six months and I cant remember what my husband ate, but I know we both walked away feeling as though we received our moneys worth, and plan to eat there again when we return to Chicago next weekend!

My daughter and I went to to this restaurant on a Tuesday night. The service, right from the get go, was spectacular! Our waiter was exceptional, giving us some great suggestions. I ordered their special and it was the best pasta I have ever had. My daughters had a simple pasta with spices and it was phenomenal! Overall this is a great, reasonably-priced restaurant that has great food for any night of the week!

The staff is very friendly and they know the food and the wine equally well. Have been here for a few business dinners and they do a nice job with larger groups. Its not inexpensive but its definitely a location where you will get what you pay for. I havent been here during the time of year where the outdoor dining is available but it does certainly add a nice touch albeit smack dab in the middle of downtown.

My wife and I took her cousins to dinner there last night. The ambience is pretty laid back, but at the same time somewhat sophisticated. The bruschetta was excellent and it was great that there were so many different options. Two had the pasta, one had the soft shell crab and I had the veal. The food was really fantastic, while the service was above average. Would definetely go back again.

This used to be one of my favorite places, and I typically enjoyed bringing guests and co-workers. However, the last time I went, my guests and I dealt with cold food and an increadibly rude staff that was eager to kick guests off of their patio. Disappointing to see this place slide. Ive since taken my groups elsewhere. Too many options in Chicago to put up with poor service or food.

Visited the restaurant twice, the place doesnt disappoint. Black squid ink pasta was not what I expected, they serve it here with tomato sauce instead of black squid ink sauce; nevertheless it was good. Have also tried the lasagna and rigatoni buttera. Highlight is actually the breads, ask the waiters to serve the olive oil with parmesan cheese, this combination is simply delicious.

Weary from all-day at the convention center, I chose this place because of its proximity to my hotel, fully expecting mediocre food. The food was excellent: pasta and sauce tasted refreshingly home-made. They offered 1/2 serving of pasta which, with bread, was a perfect sized meal. The service was helpful and quick, without being obsequious or rushed. Extremely pleasant experience.

who would have thought - an italian restaurant this good in a red roof inn? the food is very good and well prepared. the pasta dishes are outstanding. the waiters attentive without being overly. and the atmosphere cosy. those who come here instead of the "big brother" on michigan are not missing much except a bigger check.

My wife and I dined there 12-4-14. We had an excellent experience and meal. The food was great. The wait staff was very attentive. My water glass was always full as was our bread basket. We enjoyed the atmosphere as well-nicely decorated. Would love to go back again.

Cute, quaint Italian restaurant with a large menu and great service. The atmosphere is quiet and relatively casual. Nice selection of wine to share, great place to go with a group. I had the potato gnocchi and it was delicious!

Atmosphere was a little stuck up and the food was really bad. I ordered the chicken and it was poorly seasoned and about 1-12th of an inch thick. The olive oil was bland and tasted cheap. My waiter was nice and attentive.

Great food, fuss over you service, and in this neighborhood thats a 5 Star! Old school, Sinatra music, nice Italian wines, and outside seating, even on Ohio, a plus and better than decibels inside. Ill be back many times.

Well worth a try! The space is a little snug but honestly the food is so amazing, real Italian food. Make sure you make a reservation if you are interested in coming in, place gets pretty busy.

The food here is delicious. I decided to try out the duck breast and it was extremely juicy and flavorful. The waiter was also always checking up on us. Will definitely be coming again!

This is an informal place to its sister location in River North. I enjoy coming here for lunch for their salads as there isnt another place like it in the area.

Great selection, really lovely food and wine list. Appetizer portions of pasta are available all times of day so you can have a taste of several styles!

Lovely white bean soup du jour and roasted beet salad starters. Excellent classic gnocchi and orichetta -- all homemade. Wonderful wine pairings as well.

one of my favorites - solid italian cooking, but with many light choices and seafood options. i come back for the seven vegetable salad!

Went for the first time for a breakfast meeting at work. Other than being hard to find the meal and service were very good. Would go back.

A different atmosphere, nice and competent staff... An excellent place to spend an hour or two... Prices moderate given its location

Most of our party of 10 didnt like their dishes. Small portions, charge for soda refills, didnt see smiles from any of staff.
