I go to Artemios almost every other day since the owner and staff have known me since I was knee high to a Chihuahua. XD One girl in recent years has been very rude towards certain customers and tends to gossip in Spanish when they leave. Ive told Artemio (the owner) but he says its personal. In other news, BEST MEXICAN BAKERY THIS SIDE OF THE BLUE LINE!!!! Try just one item (la Rosca de Reyes in a popular seasonal bread that I would definitely if youre Christmas shopping in Wicker Park) and youll be hooked FOREVER!! (Evil laugh)

Disgusting and will never go back! Been going there for years,cookies were delicious. A year ago my wife found hair in the more than 1 cookie. I complained and she just shook her head,no apology or anything. We hadnt been there since.I was walking by one day and decided to give them another shot and things were ok,,, until yesterday.Again lots of hair in cookies, one cookie actually had some kind of something hairy on the bottom,maybe the tail of a mouse or a piece of a rag mop. I am calling city officials on this place. Stay away!

Well this is my personal experience I stopped in January 6th to buy some bread and a small rosca de reyes (by the way it was very expensive.) So after choosing what I want the person in the front desk said I have to charge separate I ask why then she looked at me and she said how we doing here look at her and said thats not answering my question and again she looked at and said (with an attitude) this is how we do it. !!! By the way the small rosca was $16 its expensive by any means! Never ever will be back there !

I had called to talk to the manger and the staff was so rude! She was ending the phone continuously, without allowing me to finish. I tried to call again but she had blocked my number. Very rude staff, I would not call or come ever to this bakery.

This bakery is fantastic. Huge selection of pastries that are incredibly inexpensive on the order of 25 to 75 cents each. I regularly load up on 4-5 pastries plus a large cinnamon coffee for $3 - $4.50.

This place has delicious low priced baked goods. You go in, grab a tray and start selecting your baked goods. Make sure you have cash, unless you buy 30+ goods your total will be under $5

The sweets are good, but the staff was not helpful and very unwelcoming. She made me feel sorry to be there. I just wanted to pay and leave as soon as possible.
