Waiter/owner is a bit of a duche. I took a group of work colleges to an otherwise mostly empty restaurant, asked for separate checks and waiter put up a less than accommodating argument. Im thinking, look, do you want our business or not. The place is old, yellowing, and rickety inside giving me little confidence that other things are equally cared for effecting cleanliness. A picture on the wall looks like it has been there for years and is bowing out off the wall. The tables are wobbly like their tops are going to fall off and the food isnt anything to write home about either. We go here from time to time simply because we exhausted all other local options already throughout the work week. Advice is to pass on this joint

Upon entering through the door, we were greeted by a warm and sincerely smiling face. Promptly seated at a beautifully set table, cloth table cloth, and napkins. The bread, and appetizer was to die for. The coffee superb. Jackie, our multi talented and apex hostess is paramount. I will update on the main course later. OK the main course was ... Let's just say this is my new favorite steak house in the Chicago area. Had tha steak Neptune. And it was delicious, and perfectly prepared. The price is very fair, and Jackie will get more than the simple 20% gratuity.

Our waitress was delightful. The live band was excellent! Highly recommend coming Wednesdays at 6:30 just for the music!! The food was lower quality, especially the pressed chicken patties passed off as kabobs and the bottle salad dressing. The cook must have been inexperienced since my meal was burnt, my guests salmon dry. Handicapped parking was in the back of the building. Had to walk 1/2 way around over bumpy ground to get inside. Did appreciate the long ramp. Totally an old fashioned steakhouse.

Dont go. This place may have once been a great place to dine but no longer. Clams are not chew-able, literally! French fires are even bad. The kicker was they put vegetable oil in the olive oil containers. Trying to save money and figured no one would notice. Written reviews on other sites and the owners have not responded. Asleep at the wheel for sure.

We ordered filet minion, lobster & crab legs. They only con the lobster broiled & burnt. The steak was flavorless as were the crab legs. Very ghetto & we were VERY disappointed with our $140 meal!! The heated bread tasted microwaved. There were butter packets instead of fresh butter. It wasnt bad for $50 but NOT $140!

Worth every penny! Get the hot appetizers platter...if I had it to do again, Id get one for an appetizer and one for an entree. Great service and quiet atmosphere. Cant go wrong!!!
