Briza Azul is my FAVORITE Mexican restaurant! Its the only place that completely satisfies the seafood lover in me, but my wife and kids, who dont eat seafood, can get their fix of exceptionally good authentic Mexican food as well. I was thrilled when Briza Azul opened up a location just a block from my house on Rte 134 in Round Lake, but unfortunately it was short-lived do to the economy and minimal traffic, so the restaurant closed for business. :-( Nevertheless, a 15 minute commute to Waukegan in well worth the trip for their awesome selection of unique seafood sensations. Even if it took 45 minutes, I would honestly make the journey. My favorite is an oyster appetizer (for 2) that is topped with cilantro, onion, tomato, and shrimp. ...I dont know what its called, but its incredible! Seriously the best thing I have ever eaten; I literally get cravings for it! So whether your Hispanic, Blacktino, Asian, Black, or a short fat Gringo like me, Briza Azul is the place for meals that keep you coming back for more. Get hooked! ~Vinny V.

Isla del Mar #2 is a lot better that here. Los precios del menú no son los que de van a comprar al final del Bill. Te suben 4, 5 dólares de más y apart te cobran la propina sin avisos en el menú por lo menos. Took a long time to get food out plus we where promised appetizers that where never brought cause they "ran out" yet other tables after us were given . Mediocere food

The food is quite mediocre. The food is super expensive. The wait staff is pretty cordial, but it takes a long time in between intervals. The free appetizers they bring out are pretty good. The fish soup on their menu is listed at 8.50 but when they bring you the bill its actually 18.50 and when brought to their attention they blamed it on a print error. It was by far the worst experience I have had in a very long time. La peor experiencia que he tenido en mucho tiempo. La comida esta bastante mediocre para el precio tan alto que tiene, y el caldo de pescado en el menu dice $8.50 pero te lo cobran a $18.50.

Worst service ever!! Went there with my boyfriend and kids, and had to look all over the restaurant to find our server so we can get another drink mind you we were doing that the whole night!! Server never asked if we needed anything the entire time there! Food was decent...place looks tacky, but decided to try it for the love of seafood. Will be finding another place to go next time!!!

Honestly it doesnt feel like the cleanest restaurant, however the food is to die for, its so good ....its delicious we especially like the garlic fish and shrimp . I wouldnt say its the cheapest either but its so good that you just want to come back for it ! After you leave your mouth taste like garlic but you keep thinking about the taste of the food so good !

Food sucks, i ordered filete al mojo de ajo(garlic fish tilapia), and it was super greassy it tasted super bad and on top of that it was super expensive, the place looks dirty, smells bad, i wouldnt eaten if i wasnt starving, the waitress was nice though, so please clean and remodel that place oh and change recipes as well

Good food. Dont be intimidated by the menu. Which looks like they only serve sea food. They have beef/pork tacos and the popular Mexican dishes. Your given little tortilla pockets w/beans in it and ceviche with chips while you decide on your order. Friendly staff just tops it off.

Its a great place overall. I only just wish my food got out a bit faster. I had came in with a large group of people, and by the time I got my food everyone else had gotten theirs. The thing is I had one of the simpler dishes. Regardless, excellent food.

Worst place ever!!! I love seafood and tried others such as veneno and Islas Marias. I tried the food and its flavor less! In top of that its overpriced. I dont mind paying for expensive seafood but this food doesnt meet its price! Its nasty.

There was food in my menu like pieces of tortilla very disgusting.. The shrimp cocktail was very sweet the shrimp was ok but chewy..Way overpriced it was 40.00 for two medium shrimp cocktail and two drinks
