I decided to go the Brickhouse with my husband and two friends. This was the first time in two years we had been out to anywhere since the birth of our Child. We had a nice quite night between us until the end of the night when we bought a last round. Two minutes after the last round people were shouting and telling us to slam our drinks. My husband who is not familiar with Georgia/American bar etiquette considering the fact that he/we have only lived in Georgia/America for three years, naively thought it would be okay to walk toward the door with his newly purchased drink with the hopes to finish it before reaching the door. A bouncer approached him as soon as he left his seat and told him to hand over his drink to which he replied " I just bought this drink, I would like to finish it." The bouncer then squeezed the drink which was in a plastic glass, getting the drink all over his clothes, and ours. He then commenced to man handle my husband to which I stepped in and tried breaking his grip on my husband telling him he had no right to put his hands on him. The bouncer at this point decided to grab me and shake me leaving a bruise on my arm. I told him he had no right to put his hands on me and then gave him a pretty severe verbal lashing at that point considering the fact that I find it pretty disgusting that a man of his size feels it necessary to put his hands on a women in that manner. I can only assume it has something to do with his upbringing. We are not your traditional bar goers, we were just two Pilots, an Engineer, and a Writer out having a drink quietly amongst friends who wound up being treated like 20 year old riff raff for no apparent reason. We had only 3 rounds between 10pm until 2 so by all means we were not intoxicated or incoherent. I was in such shock over the incident I did not know how to react at first, even after seeing the bruise that he left on my arm this morning. Ultimately, I have decided to make a police report tomorrow morning in the hopes that this individual and the rest of the staff will learn their limits of force. I definitely do not recommend this place for professionals.

My daughter and I ate at the Brickhouse on a Wednesday evening around 4:30. Not very crowded at all. Seated ourselves…usually there is a hostess who seats you. Waitress came over, brought drinks and took our order. I asked for a burger, medium cooked, with cheese on one side only. Also I ordered as my side mixed vegetables. My daughter and I were going to share a meal. Our food came at a reasonable time. The burger was cooked as if I ordered it well done. I did order it medium. I picked up the bowl the vegetables were in and burned my fingers. Not burned to the point of blistering, but it was HOT. Then I took a bite of the broccoli and had to spit it out immediately. It had so much garlic on it that I could not even stand it. My daughter did the same thing. When the waitress finally came over to our table, we had eaten most of the burger and none of the vegetables. I told her that I did want anything, but I want her to know and tell the cook that he overcooked our $9.00 burger. Also that there was so much garlic in the vegetables, we could not eat it. The waitress took the vegetable bowl to the kitchen and came back to say she was sorry. She found out that those vegetabes came from the bottom of the container and that is why there was so much garlic on them. She said that she thoought it was butter on them, not garlic. Probably not something to tell the customer... The waitress came back with our check and told me that the manager took $1.10 off the bill. It was more than I asked for, because I didnt want anything but to leave. Not a good visit this time. Seems like it has gone downhill alot since it has opened. Good location though. The one beer I ordered was very cold, very good.

Now that the situation is resolved, my husband played at The Brickhouse in Newnan, Ga, 2 weeks ago and the manager wrote him a bad check. After the check bounced Kaleb called the owner and he said he wrote the check out of a bad account and he would overnight a cashiers check. Days passed and we never received a check. After being ignored by the owner, Kaleb contacted the manager and it was a back and forth battle about where the check was. The manager kept giving Kaleb the run around. Kaleb finally decided to drive to Newnan tonight and the bouncers told him that neither Matt, the owner, nor Mike the manager were there. After threatening to call the police Mike magically appeared with money that Matt told him to get out of the safe. What is ridiculous, is that we spoke to Matthew Larsen, the owner, today and he told us he would send us a picture of the tracking number(he only answered because we called off of my phone). I mean why did he just give Kaleb the cash if he has "sent" the cashiers check 4 times already. I wonder if he thought he would just get away with not paying him. Dont give your business to crooked people!

We called first and were told by an employee they dont take reservations over the phone. When we arrived to hold a table, the waitress was not pleasant when she asked if we had a reservation. She actually sighed outlier when she heard how many were in our party. We told her no and why (we called) and she said itd be a 45 minute wait. That was fine as the entire group had not arrived yet. While we were waiting other large groups were seated when they came in and we were completely ignored. After 45 minutes of waiting, we asked how much longer and were told another hour and a half. They told us we had to wait because we didnt call first and the other parties they were seating just called their reservations in prior to coming and somehow took priority over our group. After waiting a full hour and not even receiving an apology, we took our business elsewhere. Very poorly run restaurant and the staff we encountered were extremely rude. They were more annoyed we were there than anything and no one in our group was being impatient or rude. Cant rate their food as Ive never tried it and, after this visit, I never will.

I had a bad experience last time and this time is no different. This was the last time I will ever grace those doors. I will take my business somewhere else. The service was horrible. I came in for lunch to get a to-go order and a PATRON had to tell me where to sit because there was no sign or anything. I ordered my food after sitting there for ten minutes with no drink. The server didnt even ask if I wanted one while I waited to get my food. After 30 minutes of waiting with no service, at all, I finally had to ask if my food was ready. People had arrived long after I did and had already received their food. Once receiving my food, I could tell that it had been sitting there for a while because the food was absolutely soggy from the condensation. When I got home (only two minutes down the road), I discovered that my ten dollar sandwich was inedible. The bacon was undercooked, the chicken was disgusting. I ended up throwing away all of my food. If you want good food and good service, go somewhere else. They will not serve you here. All of the five star grades are likely false.
