When I saw there was an Australian cafe, I was like, "what does that even mean?" So I had to check it out. The staff was friendly and helpful. You order at a counter near the back, then they call your name and bring your food to you. They have a selection of Australian groceries and sausages for purchase, which was cool. Oh, and on the menu, I didnt see any koala, kangaroo, dingo or whatever some people might think Australians eat! They have lots of Australian pies and snacks. I have no way of confirming if these are really Australian or not, so Ill just trust them. I had the veggie pie and the lamb curry pie. My eyes were bigger than my stomach so I couldnt finish both. I think this would make a good small lunch snack for most people. This was an interesting experience, considering ive never had Australian food. This place is small so there were people smashing around their strollers and wrangling their screaming children, but thats not the cafés fault. I needed to do some work on my computer, but unfortunately the wifi wasnt working.

We took the family out for Breakfast this morning and decided to stop in and try out this little Australian Cafe. Its a small restaurant thats big on service and tasty food. My husband and I both had breakfast pies and our oldest son had a chicken pie and we all loved them. Our 3 youngest shared the French toast and it was very tasty, topped with homemade whip cream and fresh berries. We also tried the sausage roll and all I can say is Tasty!! If you go here be patient with the amount of time it takes to get your food. It will be worth the wait...this is not fast food! Also our son has a peanut and cashew allergy and the cook/owner was very good with understanding our concerns and making us feel comfortable. He gets extra credit in our book as eating out with food allergies can be stressful! We will definitely go back again soon!

Absolutely love this place. Its tucked away in downtown Marietta Square. It has to be one of the only restaurants in the state of Georgia that is authentic to Australia cuisine. They other original meat pies, sausage rolls, and deserts that are true to the Aussie culture and some with an American spin. The owners and employees were so accommodating to us when we got there and took the time to guide us through the menu especially since we didnt not know much about some of the foods that were prepared. Its good for breakfast lunch and dinner, and have different options for each. Nevel is the chef there and is greatest! Hes super accommodating! He knows pretty much everyone and everything Aussie! He made sure that my catering order was taken care of and that I knew everything prior to making my order. Cant wait to go back!

I don’t have any other Australian bakeries to compare this one to, but I loved it! I brought my boyfriend here on a date I planned for him and he was ECSTATIC! He recently moved to Georgia from Brisbane, Australia, and he was so happy to get to enjoy something that felt like a piece of home. Almost like a sanctuary. I was so happy for him I even tried the Vegemite on toast that they offered. Blehhh!... I suppose that it is more of an acquired taste. Overall, this place had fantastic food, the employees were very nice and helpful. I can’t wait to visit this bakery again! Besides he’s almost out of Vegemite, which they sell there. 5 Stars!

Reviews on Google Maps and Photos!!! I read a negative review, it is not true that the pastries are dry , the Australian Bakery Cafe is not dirty!!! I shop there every other day ,there sandwiches are freshly made with chicken breast, fresh tomatoes, Swiss cheese , and whatever else you choose, crusty artisan bread baked daily, no artificial flavors, colours, preservative, corn syrup or added sugars. I am sensitive to artificial ingredients I have to be very careful what I eat other wise I get very sick. I am happy to of found a place to eat and not be concerned about what I eat, at the, Australian Bakery Cafe.

A cool local Aussie bakery with unreliable quality. On the few times we have visited some times we had an overall good experience and other times dry and moldy food. On the moldy food issue, I let the manager know and they quickly resolved the issue so kudos for service! They did not guilt me but made efforts for me to be taken care of. However the food experience matches what many here complain about: dry and lackluster taste. So in the end you should at least try this place...you might love it or hate it. Hopefully you will love it.

Found myself in downtown Marietta one morning and was looking for a place to sit and chat over coffee with a friend. We stumbled across this hole in the wall place (one of the few places open so Early) and I had an eclair and she had a breakfast pie. I liked the laid back atmosphere. This place is NOT for you if you want a fancy gourmet dining experience. This is a quiet, home-grown type place where the owners are friendly enough, but leave you to enjoy your coffee in peace without a ruckus. If Im ever in the area, will visit again.

My company has used Australian Bakery for catering events and they never disappoint! Not only is the food delicious but the management is awesome. Barbie was able to take my order, turn it around and get it delivered (to a rather far location) on time in a matter of 48 hours. Please try to give her more time than I did but the fact that she pulled it off is amazing. If you are ever in Marietta stop in and try the delicious food! My favorite - the Spinach/Feta breakfast quiche. So light and filling at the same time.

They were very nice inside. My boyfriend and I went in looking to see what an Australian Bakery means in terms of product. The young woman at the counter was super sweet, I never got her name but thats ok. They were patient and answered my questions. I got a brownie. It was just ok. Didnt taste exactly chocolate-y and was dry. Not anything to cry about. Ive worked in bakeries and understand things happen. I will probably try again to see if things are different/ better in the future.

I came in for the first time today to have a buffalo chicken pie and a cranberry walnut salad and I have to say it was delicious! I was very pleased with the food and this bakery has lots of yummy deserts! The atmosphere was very neat and not to mention the service was great! The lady at the front counter, kirsten, was very helpful and answered all of my questions for me. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious meal

The food was delicious and tasted fresh. Even though the prices seemed high, it was definitely worth it. I ordered the sausage roll and the ginger lemonade. The lemonade was really tart, but its lemonade so what did I expect, right? The patio area outside is lovely and has a nice view looking down Pier Ave. I want to come back and bring my sister here for breakfast; she loves cute cafes like this.
