I dont think Ill be back which is sad because the food looked amazing. However the service was terrible. It was a Sunday afternoon so it was busy and a wait was to be expected - no issue there at all. Once we sit, our waitress comes over, never introduces herself and starts taking down our drink orders. Mind you she was wearing sunglasses this whole time. To start we ordered waters. When the waitress came back, my friend asked if there were any drink specials. The waitress "suggested" the Hurricane cocktail. My friend then asked if there were any others, to which she answered no and walked away......That 5 minute experience was enough for my friend to ask the hostess for a new server as ours seemed to not be very happy with our table for some reason. The hostess agreed and apologized so we continued looking over the menu expecting a new server to come. To our surprise, the same waitress comes with a sly smile and an even "snottier" attitude than before, asking for our drink orders again (remember she walked away earlier before getting them). My other friend asks for a Midori Sour which is drink #2 in bartending/server/21+ 101. The drink menu literally states that this place has a FULL bar. Still, this server asks in a sassy tone, "Im sorry is that on the menu?". What??!! To which my friend tries to explain that its a pretty basic drink. The waitress then says "no I dont think we have Midori. what is that, an alcohol?"....then she looks at the drink menu herself and says oh yeah we do have it.. Im not sure if she was being rude or just not that bright, but either way I was over it. I ask for a mojito but according to her, the bar didnt have mint. Which I find really interesting that you dont know what a midori sour is, but somehow you know for a fact that the bar has no mint. But I digress. At this point, we were over her but the place had a cool vibe and the food looked good so we didnt want to leave. Again we asked for a new server, to which the hostess offered to send the manager over. Here is where it gets worse. As a general manager, I expect you to care about ALL of your customers and listen to there concerns. As my friends shared their frustrations, this gm consistently took up for the server, talked over my friends and then gave some half assed apology. He even said "oh Ive never heard anything bad about Caroline." Btw this was the first time we learned her name the whole time we sat there. He sent over another server who seemed great but by this point, the whole experience was soured for us and we asked for the check. To which, the general manager comes over again and asks why we were leaving. When my friend expressed that she felt he wasnt listening to their concerns and geniunely interested in a pleasant experience for us as guests, he said, "well i thought i did but clearly you dont feel that way so im sorry."..goodbye sir lol i am not sure that i will ever be back after this.

I ate here the night before my wedding and called in to reserve/give notice of our parties attendance.10/07/2016 8pm. The food was great and we enjoyed the live band. Our server did okay with a party of 15 by himself, until the end when we waited over 15 mins between receiving our to go boxes and our checks, which he advised us from the beginning how he would do the checks. But the reason for the rating is for the rude, poor customer service and apparently racist actions of the manager on duty that night. Our server advised he let the manager know when they were setting up that we would need a other table and he refused. We asked for an additional table (only one booth was being used and there were at least 4 empty tables next to us) he adamantly refused, was short, and rude. He wouldnt take any consideration that all 15 adults were literally sitting shoulder to shoulder. We all ordered dinner, some appetizers and could barely move our arms to eat, it was uncomfortable to say the least. An hour later we watched 8 non black people put 3/4 tables together, space in between each person and we spoke to them and they werent even ordering food. The manager didnt once go up to the table and say anything!! But yet he was so stern with his inability to give us another table without us having more people. As we walked out, we saw another party of black guests sitting shoulder to shoulder like sardines. I was outraged with the blatant disparity in how the parties were treated. Just awful!! Will not return!!

Bad Service, Food on Par with low expectations. This is my 3rd return to Front Page News. The 2 previous times I had a great time. My "good review" was my return business. This 3rd time I paid my standard 20% tip begrudgingly and decided to write this review. It wasnt that busy, but the drink order took 20 minutes to deliver, the app took 35 minutes to deliver, and the side of Mayo I requested when I ordered my dish did not arrive with my dish. The side of Mayo was then re-requested and 10 minutes went by, and I decided to go and stand by the kitchen door to request it again. I guess they dont put out ash trays, so the previous inhabitants of our table just put out their smokes on the side of the table in a pile. There they remained for our dinner as well. I had a couple of beers, and I was brought a new glass and bottle with each order. The empties sat on the table for the entire meal. If this place wants to have me return, they need to show they are looking to improve.

We arrived on a Friday night a quarter before 10. They werent busy. We were sat and waited nearly 15-20 minutes for a server. When we asked about a server, the hostess replied, "were trying to find her.." Oh, geez! I hope she didnt meet her demise at the hands of a nefarious toilet! When a server did finally come, it was one I had seen on the floor. Obviously, we werent in her section and management had her take us. I debated a three star solely based on the patience and helpfulness of the waitress that did show. The food was good, if not a bit bare-bones. For a $12 burger, which, again, was good, I would certainly take into account the plating and presentation a bit more. Even bar food can be elevated. Ambiance was nice next to a gas lit fireplace on an enclosed patio. Parking in the adjacent lot is $5. If you spend $20 or more, they will subtract $5 from the bill.

Honestly, what really calls us to this place is the patio. Its the gem of the restaurant and is perfect on a nice day (save for a bit of traffic noise on Moreland). The food is an attempt at Cajun/Creole fare and its a decent execution. They have a nice selection of options (some with a twist from what youd typically find in NOLA). I guess I am just not excited because it never wows me. The food is good but its always missing the kicker. Its always a little short on salt/fat/spice from what I remember from my uncles place or the better restaurants in the district. I will say one thing that does deliver is the andouille. It should be front and center on every dish, even the desserts. Speaking of desserts: learn to make some good beignets and get them on the menu. STAT!
