Im writing this review in hopes that it will help management. I really like the restaurant and it is near my home and work. The food is pretty good and will hit the spot but truthfully not the best Jamaican Ive had. Jerk, curry and brown stew chicken are my go-tos. Their hot wings are good too. Im picky about my oxtails and dont buy them from most restaurants. Had theirs and meh. The service is friendly and slooooooow. This is no longer an option for me when I am conscious of time. It took about 20 minutes for me to get a takeout brown stew chicken lunch plate recently. When I last ordered hot wings, I waited over 30 minutes. If Im getting a takeout plate for lunch, I expect to receive it within 10 minutes or so since the food is already prepared. Then they stuffed everything inside of a small dessert container with all of the food mixed together. Thats not a plate, thats a bowl. This also made it difficult to eat on the go because food was overflowing from the small container. Ill likely go back again but I hope that they become more conscious of service. Wishing them the best.

This place have the absolute worst customer service possible. Workers are rude and unprofessional, the establishment is so tiny and hot its ridiculous. Waited nearly 40 minutes for a plate of food only to be told there is no more rice but I can substitute it with fries. If I was in the mood for fries I would of walk over to the Burger King and gotten fries, with equal to better service at a quicker time!! Only to finally get my food to be totally disappointed. Im from the islands and I do know what these food are suppose to taste like. Just another spot where someone opens an island restaurant to fool the people who dont know what the food is really suppose to taste like. Ill never return nor advise anyone to go.

The premises are small but that doesnt stop this from being my favorite Jamaican food in Atlanta. The jerk pork is amazing and they have lunch specials along with perfect portions for dinner at a very fair price. What seating there is at the location is VERY limited and all outside, so plan to carry out. Due to the location, parking is pretty limited, but you can pull onto the grass behind the tiny parking lot. When you walk in the small area will likely be filled with people waiting for their food, not necessarily in line to order so dont hesitate to make your way to the register. You can get either cabbage or collards with your meal but if you dont specify you will be getting cabbage.

Went 2/4/17: DAT Fire Jerk Chicken is a small whole in the wall joint serving real deal Jamaican dishes. They have a full diverse Caribbean Jamaican menu. Its located in a prime location blocks from new stadium. The service was great and friendly. I loved the music while you wait. And they cooking on that barrel grill and the smoke flavor is all throughout the jerk dishes ribs and chicken. The food was juicy, flavorful, and not too spicy; I even added more jerk sauce and BBQ sauce to the ribs. The curry was great too. No complaints here (maybe the very limited parking lot), but hey thats life. Its off the beaten path, which I always love local spots thats not tourist centric.

Im going to need people to put honest reviews up or dont put a review if you dont know about AUTHENTIC Jamaican taste. I came here on the strength of the reviews and this is honestly the worst Oxtails Ive had!!!! Small, barely any meat and the tests was of unseasoned baked pork chops??? No sauce! The cabbage???? Dont even get me started on those bland strings of vegetable.....oil was all in my plate. What is this?? How does this place have almost 5 stars?? The customer service was great, but what does that matter with not so good food?? Never coming here again. $12.75 for a small plate of round thin pork chops smh

Phenomenal food (chicken, fish, drinks, desserts... WOW!), true to the roots. Customer service is great (cashier is always smiling, no matter how busy it gets). Parking could be a little better, but thats not their fault. The only improvement I would suggest is they open at 10:00am instead of 11:00am (believe or not, people do want that great food at 10:15am) and possibly on Sundays and close on Tuesdays instead... Ive gone there twice and both times Ive been impressed and will continue coming here... Thank you for bringing great Jamaican food to the city!

This is Hands Down the best Jamaican Joint I have eaten at in Georgia. Food is delicious. Fresh and abundant. Great value for money. Staff is very informative and welcoming. The Jamaican girl with the low hair cut is very very pleasant and made me feel welcomed. Girl with the locs is so nice and have customer service locked. I definitely recommend this place to everyone. Wish there was a Dat Fire Jerk in Mississippi but whenever I am in the A that is my preferred restaurant. Keep up the good job guys. I definitely will be back!!

As a Jamaican-American who grew up eating this food, I can say that this is the BEST Jamaican spot I have come across in Atlanta! This place is popular for their jerk chicken, but I ordered their curry chicken and it deserves just as much recognition. Im also a picky eater and I have no complaints about Dat Fire - the rice is soft and firm, not hard or mushy. The meat falls right off the bone and is juicy and tender, and plantains are cooked to perfection. If you are seeking good Jamaican food, look no further!

This place is great! Never had a problem with them not having food, regardless of what time I go. The oxtails are my favorite! They never seem to disappoint when it comes to those, every time Ive gone (which is about five times now) I get oxtails, and theyre always falling off the bone, I can just pick them out! Also, sometimes they have these fresh in house made lemonades and they are out of this world! Will continue time and time again to support this business.

In my opinion this is the best Jamaican restaurant in the metro Atlanta area. The food is truly excellent. I had the jerk chicken and good is an understatement. The chicken was well seasoned and perfectly smoked. The rice and peas was to die for. I really enjoyed this restaurant and have been back several times and each time Dat Fire has been consistently good. Good job and keep up the good work. Ill continue to spread the good word about you guys.

The food was good and the prices are really reasonable. The portions are quite larger. I had the jerk chicken and it was almost as good as back home, but the sauce just wasnt as good as Jerk Palace, in my humblest of option. It is the best Jamaican restaurant Ive eaten from in the actual city of Atlanta. If there is better I will update this review to reflect. In closing, you wont be disappointed, the food is not bad, at all.

Helpful staff will explain the menu. I got the chicken. I was a bit worried about it being too spicy - was pleasantly surprised that they let you self-regulate the spice level by applying your own jerk sauce. The chicken was delicious, there was a lot of it, and got extra plantains instead of cabbage salad. Great meal, will probably go there again!
