We went here after they first reopened as a BBQ place, (previously Bullpen Bar & Grill) the sign was still the old. The ribs and sides were fine, my son also enjoyed the tenders sandwich combo, three tenders on Texas Toast with a side. I went back and picked up on my way home from work one evening, got home and was shocked at what was in the containers, completely burnt and dried out ribs, the tenders sandwich was a small hamburger bun with one and a "cut" half of a tender in the sandwich and the mac & cheese was greasy and clumpy. We used to enjoy the BBQ here so we decided to give them another try. This time the manager, packaged up and brought the order out to me, he had been manager there from they opened, (the big heavyset man). I opened the containers at the counter to check before I left and was totally POd at what we were served again. As before dried out ribs and my sons tenders sandwich was the small version. and explained that this was not what they opened up serving, his reply said it all, "you have to specify whether you want juicy or dry ribs, and we never had sandwiches on Texas Toast." Knowing better, I took the order and have not nor ever will return! After being in the restaurant business myself, customer service is the utmost priority, above food quality, and after being lied to, I wouldnt have him go back and prepare anything for me! "Theyre FIRED!"

Im a rib guy. Ill even stoop so low as to go to Golden Corral and enjoy ribs if I have a craving. Ive eaten Applebees ribs (I know, crazy right?) There has never been a time before when I ordered ribs and was repulsed by their mere appearance. They looked soggy, the dry rub was like putty. But I persisted, cuz I spent 20$ on ribs so I might as well try them. They were edible if I could describe them best. They lacked much flavor, and the texture wasnt there. I will concede, they were fall off the bone tender though. But I have never had ribs that I didnt clean to the bone completely. To be fair Im ranking this place compared to other joints of similar notoriety and similarly priced rib joints. But all those provide far better food, and ambiance. In fact I sat outside, because I was repulsed by the places lighting and old decor. What makes me most livid is the fact that collectively yall have rated this place a 3.9 at the time of this being written, and to me that is greatly misleading. I was not impressed, and will never go here again.

I was on my vacation with my wife in ATL, we stayed at Country Inn and Suites which is next to this Bullpen rib house. The hotel is advertising for bullpen we got brochure in the hotel lobby. I read some google reviews and only one person said the food was awful so i decided to try it, people please dont waste your time and money here, Why? 1. Bad customer service 2. The place is run down and in need of basic clean etc 3. The food was awful my wife ordered ribs which was not prepared properly. I ordered wings because i think everyone should know how to prepare wings it was the worst wings i ever had. I could go in more detail but i dont have the time.

My colleagues and I go there for lunch at least 3 times/month and have never had an issue until today. I ordered my meal and gave the cashier (Kristen on colleagues receipt) a twenty and she gave me change as if I had given her a ten. I told her that I gave her a $20.00 and she picked up a $10 out of the register as if that is what I had given her. There is no way that I made a mistake because I had just gone to the ATM, that only gives $20s. I guess I could have taken it further, but they will lose more in the long run because I usually bring 4 to 5 people with me whenever I come. I wont be going back.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! We went here for the first time on Monday 3/9/15, and we will never again be dining at the Bullpen. We were not greeted when we came in, waited several minutes before any one even came to the counter to take our order, and even then we were not greeted. The only time I even remember the lady even speaking was demanding "give me your IDs" when we ordered a beer, and then giving me my total for the order. I have never in my life experienced such terrible service. Its unfortunate because the food was pretty good and the prices were reasonable.

I live and work in Grant Park and I like coming over here for a quick lunch. They have a great view of the city from the porch and large/easy parking. Food is good and what to be expected from a sports bar. Its really the only true sports bar in the area. I like watching the GT football games that come on ESPN U, who has that on their TV? Anyway, place has lot of TVs and tables for large groups, oh yeah did i mention the cheap beer, we all know thats most important.

Stayed next door the night before the Peach Bowl. Got in late and thought we would try this place. Glad we did! Excellent food. The burger was great and the chicken dinners were amazing. Huge pieces of chicken. Even the fries were good and youd be surprised at how many places can mess up fries. The girl at the counter was as nice as she could be. This place has to be packed during baseball season but if its not and your in Atlanta...check it out!

My fiancé and I stayed near the stadium last month and had the pleasure of eating at the Bullpen. Having lived in the south my entire life I have eaten my share of BBQ but that was by far the best I have ever eaten. I would recommend anyone wanting a great meal, for a reasonable price, in a true southern atmosphere to visit the Bullpen. The waitress was very pleasant, the food was amazing, we will definitely be back!

Came from another state to enjoy some good food. As I was waiting people for about 30 mins people who ordered after got their food. Still waiting..... I had to go back up to find out what happened..... No Mac and cheese, no shrimp, and no moonshine. But never had the courtesy to call me over to say they ran out!! What??? Never again..

Awesome brisket! Super casual dining. Place your order at the counter and pick it up when your pager goes off. Plenty of TV s for the sports lovers. I travel all over the country looking for incredible eats and youve got that here. I had the brisket sandwich and cant wait to go again. $6.99 for a good size sandwich and one side.
