My wife and I have visited this newly opened Kampong (means village in Malaysian) restaurant yesterday. We were impressed by its elegant dining environment, friendly services, and delicious dishes. Its menu offered a multi-ethnic blend of Malaysian, Chinese, Thai, Singapore, and Eurasian dishes. Since we only have two people, so with waiter’s recommendations we have ordered one Malaysian dish - Char Kuey Teow (fried rice noodle with bean sprouts, green onion, chicken and shrimp), and one Chinese dish - Beef with Ginger & Scallion. We have had similar kinds of these two dishes at other restaurants, but Kampong’s are the best. We could tell the meat was of good quality, the shrimps was very fresh, large, plump and juicy. The beef had the flavor of ginger and scallion in it. We mentioned we favor light flavor (low salt, less oil) , and the Chef just cooked it to the kind of flavor we like. We have also tried the Hot Sour Soup, and it was good. There were other dishes in the menu we have asked about and would like to try, but that’s for next visit. Heng Tseng 2/21/2017

So delicious, staff is A+++ Best pad Thai Ive ever had in my life, you would have thought that I had died and went to heaven. It was so marvelously marvelous that I almost fainted with shock. I was so superbly amazed you dont even KNOW. It had allot of shrimp. Most pad Thai has like three shrimpies but this one had allotttt of shrimps and I was very happy. Good presentation but no authenticity here with the dishes, all of them were watered down, Americanized, and almost bland versions of authentic dishes. I was so embarrassed that I had brought my friend here for dinner. I wanted to introduce him to Malaysian food. The Hainanese chicken rice was the biggest joke of all. Beef Rendang was just pathetic. Service was awful. The waitress asked if I need a box while I just started eating my food.

Kampong Asian Restaurant is a place that understands the value of putting customer satisfaction first. They feature a menu with a variety of choices and each dish is made from scratch. The hospitality is stellar with each and every employee understanding there designated role. The owner Kenny is extremely welcoming and polite towards all. I would definitely recommend this place and come back again.

Fantastic service, great attitudes and happiness from staff. Spring rolls were cooked perfectly. The General Tsos chicken was the best Ive had in the area. They use leeks instead of broccoli which was tasty. They have a small liquor bar, havent tried it.

I discovered this place by accident. Glad I stumbled in. The Singapore Mei Fun Noodles were delicious, packed with chicken, pork and shrimp. Curry flavor was just right! I will be back for the prawn soup (they were out)
