The waitress was polite and caring. Unfortunately, the positives ended there. First, the beef teriyaki appetizer was very bland and it didnt seemed like the beef was sautéd or stir fried like it was supposed to be. Instead, the beef seemed to either be hastily boiled and/or microwaved. The seafood eggdrop soup was also bland and seemed to have too much corn starch; the soup had a very "gooey" texture. As for the entrées, only the fried rice tasted good and was cooked well. The salt and pepper fried tofu dish we ordered that came with spicy peppers was bland as well and the outside of the tofu was extremely dry and tasted old. We ordered a scallop and garlic dish but the server mistakenly brought out a shrimp dish, which was not a problem since mistakes happen. Again, she was very kind; she apologized for the situation and happily brought out the right dish in a few minutes. However, the scallop seemed to have a lot of sand or sediment in it and we brought that to the waitress attention. She apologized and quickly told us that she would try to talk to the manager and staff to resolve the issue. However, we were left at that. The manager ended up not saying a word about the situation or apologizing and did not want to take the dish off the bill even though we barely touched it. As we left, the manager gave us a sort of mean side glare. The waitress was polite but the food and treatment by the manager was extremely disappointing.

Got this menu in the mail about a month ago and have ordered here probably 5 times. Every time the food was great! The Pho was delicious! Weve had chicken with broccoli, chicken with garlic sauce, sesame chicken, soup, and crab Rangoon. All were awesome! The summer roll is delish as is the sushi. Very fresh. Love love love this place!!!! UPDATE!!!! 8/7/17 Just ordered from here tonight. Our total was 70 dollars! They automatically add a gratuity and a delivery fee. When I called to ask about this she said its always been this way. I dont recall our order EVER being this much! And if this was the case the driver was getting double tipped! I ordered pad Thai which I get a lot. This was awful. Not only did it not even resemble pad Thai it didnt taste like it either. I dont even think they were rice noodles but just plain spaghetti. The crab rangoons should be called cream cheese Rangoon because there isnt a hint of crab in them! I dont know what happened but we wont be calling here again. Sucks because the food was great! But to automatically add a gratuity when Im already tipping? And the driver never gave us a receipt.

I do not normally write bad reviews, but in this case I had to. I went towards the end of the night, about an hour before they closed. I understand that they dont want to waste a full buffet of food if they will be closing soon, but I expect the restaurant to offer the same food as they do during lunch when the turnover is fast. There was no egg drop soup, no honey chicken, no general tsaos. The lo mein tasted burnt and it was difficult to force myself to swallow the first bite. The wonton soup was not fresh at all. The service, however, was exceptional. Everyone is friendly, smiling, and appreciative. I wish they would do something about the food availability. It could be a simple fix like making half-servings towards the end of the night to prevent waste, instead of just not making the food. I decided on Chinese specifically for some hot, fresh egg drop soup on a cold day and that didnt happen. Dissatisfied, but Ill return in a few months to see if they improve

I worked close to the restaurant and would get lunch there once in awhile. Havent been in about year or so. Stopped in the other day because I was in Tampa. I ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan which I always had and it was very good! Well this day,it was horrible!!!! The chicken was very tough, not sure if it was chicken???? OMG!!!! The fried rice was terrible as well, peas were shrunk up,tasted old,not freshly made! So I told the server who is very nice, she knew me from before. Anyway, they took half off my bill, which they should have not charged me at all! Then the worst of all....the people sitting 2 rows in front of me were eating from the buffet. The server asked how it was,he said great until about 5 minutes later. He called her back to show her there was a "Roach in his food!!!!! I would not eat here if I was you,and Ill never ever go back! Totally disgusting!!!!!!

Visited this place recently to see how the food was since my coworkers opinions and reviews were pretty decent about Hao Wah. Unfortunately the experience that I had wasnt what everyone made it to be. Its understood that at a buffet, if the people arent moving, the food isnt moving. At 6pm on a Wednesday, this was the case when observing the selections at the buffet. The food wasnt fresh, or at least warm in some cases, the general tsos seemed like it was out for longer than two hours. Luckily, I talked to the waitress about this, and soon after, the kitchen placed fresh honey chicken out. After making the comment though, it seemed the waitress was motioning myself and my friend out of the establishment. In all honesty, the place wouldve been better if the food was kept up to specified standards, especially for a bustling area like South Tampa.

Order from here using uber eats app. I orders the general Tsos chicken and an egg roll. It was delicious! Chicken was tender and juicy with lots of flavor. Rice was not dry like I usually expected from Chinese places ( I had regular fried rice) and egg roll was nicely made not overly salted or fried. Overall great experience I would order from here again on my lunch. I did notice there was lots of bad reviews after eating my food which made me glad I didnt have that experience but roaches and bugs in food is not great! I mean if you like that stuff then this place isnt that bad. Still good food but bugs would make me apprehensive and not eat here if I read the reviews before ordering.

We were so excited to try this place after hearing good things from a local friend and receiving their new mail out to our apartment. With that said it took 50 minutes before our delivery arrived with cold miso soup and hot soda and we quickly realized my boyfriends pint of chicken fried rice , his meal for the night, was not in the bag. When we called to speak to someone about the mix up they quickly accused us of lying about not getting the 4$ box of rice! If that wasnt bad enough they then did not fix or offer to fix the missing food they re sent the delivery man out 30 more minutes later to refund us our 4 dollars. Needless to say never again.

I have never seen a more disgusting buffet. I have never walked out of a restaurant in my whole life, but within 5 min of looking over the buffet I talked to two managers and walked out. The food had been out on the buffet for at least a whole day and most of the meat was sitting at room temperature. There was a layer of slimy film over everything that had sauce. The fruit was litterally rotten, the seafood was unrecogizable. I could go on but I think you get the picture. I reported them to the department of health after this. Its a matter of safety at this point. You eat here at your own risk.
