Lennys thing is the Cheesesteak. I order mine "hoagie style" with hot peppers. Ive never stepped up and done the "Wiz Wit" routine, but Id like to think that if I did, theyd know what I was talking about, and Steak Wiz Wit is what Id get. Wife very much enjoys the black bean burger patty here (remember, shes the vegetarian rep. of the family). In truth, all sandwiches can be made into salads - and this is important to her - and all those seeking a healthier path. Lennys location is primo IF youre travelling south on T-Ville, or E on 6th. Otherwise, during congested times, it can be a challenge, although well worth it. Folks here are consistently friendly and come across as "equity players" in this enterprise. Theres a real sense of ownership with the employees that I dont pick up in a lot of other places. Maybe its just me, but I dont think so. Notably absent are the trash bins. Theres simply NO way for you to clear your own table. The signs make it abundantly clear that you are to enjoy yourself and simply "up and walk" when youve done. Just like in a full-service restaurant. One small detail that doesnt appear here, mind you, is a tip line at the cashiers point. When you sign, theres no room for a tip. Ironic, since a tip is entirely merited here considering that order is brought to your table AND your table is cleared/cleaned upon departure. I mention this because I think its entirely proper to drop a tip on your table as you leave. Which, conversely, leads me to those QSRs and Fast-Casuals that actually HAVE a tip line compelling a lot of people at the checkout point to pen something for, in effect, zero in return. I am no "gratuity grinch". While its true that once a bill heads north of $200 I will generally tip around 17-18%, I invariably drop 50% tips for breakfast (cmon, the effort required is virtually identical to when a server is bringing you a meal triple the cost) and 20% for lunch. Naturally, Im talking about full-service restaurants. But, Im getting tangential. forgive me. Lennys is great. It really is. There are other sub shops in town that make stellar products (both locally owned and franchised) and Lennys sits up next to any other in the top-tier.

I must have gone on an off day. I went with a small group of ladies and it was not overly crowded, but my club sandwich was soggy and the veggies were completely left off. When "corrected" they gave me the wrong sandwich back. The drinks in the drink machine were flaccid and the ice shot allover my feet. One of our party got a cookie and she said it was stale. The worst thing was that we had an elderly lady in our party who had to walk all the way down to the handicapped ramp which was no where near where we had to park because the step going in was a foot and a half up off the parking lot. That step is too high for lightly crippled folks and elderly or anyone else who cannot do an overly tall step. Put a step there for petes sake. Who designed that thing? Andre the Giant? I agree that the kids that work there are agreeable and hardworking but the food was just average.

The employees are always on the phone and they just Sit down, stand around and hang out. They are very load and talk about about very obscene things Loud enough for my child to her. The food is good. I just wish that there was a manager on shift to see this. It just seems like customer service IS not number 1

Have not tried the cold cut subs, but Lennys has one of the better cheesesteaks in Tallahassee, even for being a franchise sandwich shop. Attentive staff and quick service.

They are really good!! But WhichWich is similar, with name brand chips (which makes a difference, as a lover of Lays with my sandwiches)
