Five stars in class! (Absence of a buffet, white linen table clothes, Peking duck prepared table side (traditionally), as well as some of the more authentic fare (Cantonese, Szechuan, Hunan, and (I believe). The key here (as with many restaurants, but certainly here) is to order fewer dishes than there are diners. We were a party of 8, and six entrees would have certainly sufficed. Order 1 Peking duck. Trust me. Duck isnt exotic and "out there" - if youve eaten turkey, goose, chicken or hen - this will not be stretch. Peking duck is most traditionally served across three courses. Good luck finding the three course service outside of the most major cities. Its too much work and demand just isnt there (or is it a supply-driven phenomenon... Who knows). China Delight prepares the duck tableside. The chef comes with his cleaver and preps it - just like countless YouTube videos show it. Whats different here from my previous Peking duck eating-fests was that his accompanying server is building up the pancake/green onion/hoisin creation for the diner. Thats ok, and perhaps its to show the diner how to go about doing it. Ill prefer doing it myself next time we come. Other dishes on the table were a seafood combo (Szechuan style), assorted fried rices, sautéed bok choy, and a few other dishes. If the Chinese menu was previously untranslated- it is now available in English. There are a number of eye openers on it that I intend to order over the course of my future visits. Tripe, intestine, tendon and belt-fish are among some of the racier proteins that Ill choose from. A bit less exotic are the frog legs, squid and pork bellies. After that, its all fairly familiar. One particular feature that Im peevish about is the 80" above head on the northern wall. Ive noticed that many asian restaurants are getting TVs but Im not sure why. This isnt a sports bar. Perhaps its to accommodate those of the short attention span persuasion, but surely theyre fidgeting with their smartphones at the table. Old school, 80s style chinese restaurant with a "222" phone number (like having a 212 in Manhattan) makes this a TLH fixture and a go-to place for good chinese cuisine (yes - any one who reads just a little bit on the subject understands that this isnt the food they eat in China - but this is what we anticipate here!) - both the expected and the unexpected!

I had a layover at the greyhound station next door and decided I didnt want bus stop food. I placed an order to go and the lady was very rude to me. I asked her for something on the lunch menu and she rudely replied that there is no lunch menu today because of the holiday. I understood that but then I asked her for a water and she never acknowledged me. She never once said thank you for coming or have a good day. Shouldve know it would be this way because no one in the restaurant looked like me. Next time I will just keep my money in my pocket. The food was mediocre at best anyway. Very poor customer service. Oh the white man who walked in behind me got a smile and a very warm welcome.

In China they measure of how good a restaurant is by how many people are in it, here in the states if you want to know how good a Chinese restaurant is, you check how many Chinese people are eating there. China Delight is one of those places you will always see Chinese faces, and its no mystery why. Try the Beef Noodle Soup, an authentic dish. My personal favorite dish is the black bean ribs (they are only on the Chinese language menu) This is also one of the few places in town you can get Boba Tea (milk tea with tapioca).

This is not your average Chinese establishment. We enjoyed our time just more expensive and fine dining then we expected. We brought our kids and they did well but our wait was long and we could not fully understand our waitress. The food was good and surprisingly more authentic thing we expected. its been awhile since we have gone and should come back soon. The sesame chicken was not small fried pieces but three big half pieces of chicken thigh I believe.

China Delight is nowhere near as good as Ming Tree. The General Tsos Chicken at Ming Tree is the best Ive ever had with a perfect texture and smokey complex flavor. At China Delight, it had too much breading and the sauce was only so so. The wonton soup isnt as good as Ming Trees either! It just leaves me longing for better wonton soup! My advice: change courses and head to Ming Tree because its worth the drive.

This is the best chinese food in town, been going here for at least 3 years and the food is consistently awesome and the owners are very nice. Ive tried tons of chinese places in Tallahassee and Orlando (where Im from) and none come close. If I could afford it I would eat here every chance I got, they have the best sesame chicken Ive ever had

I eat there almost once a week and I love it. Eddie is awesome. Dont be surprised if you order something and he makes a face and says "Thats no good"! Trust him he is never wrong. The dumplings are the best. The radish pickle is not for the faint hearted but it is awesome. The food is quite reasonably priced and the portions are HUGE!

When driving down Tennessee, this is not a restaurant I would have expected to like - it seems like such a shady part of downtown! But this restaurant is all class, the food is delicious, and you definitely end up with a few things on the menu that takeout doesnt have.

Surprised at some of these reviews, have been multiple times and the food and service is always outstanding. Portions are huge but great for sharing and trying new things. Peking duck is always great but also love double cooked pork, beef tendon, and all the soups.

Some of the worst Chinese food Ive ever had. Bland no flavor though I feel that that is common with chinese. I had to have the food taken off the bill because it was inedible. Boiled chicken with cardboard flavored rice. The crab Rangoon were disgusting.

Ordered the orange chicken. Was horrible. Tasted like burnt sticks. Not sweet like oranges at all. Like a very bitter burnt stick with soy sauce on it. For 12.50 way over priced. And to second another review, the rice does taste like dog food. Never again.

I love this place. Cosy interior, great service and above average chinese food. I will suggest their egg drop soup, chicken with vegetables and yes their roasted duck (the chef curves the meat at the table, a real visual and culinary delight.)

Wow! Best Chinese food! My personal favorite is the tendon with vegetables. Actually, I have NEVER had a dish I didnt enjoy here. Go and enjoy the delicious food served by very friendly owners and staff.

Decent Chinese food at an exorbitant price! Sesame chicken was okay, but nothing to write home about, and more breading than chicken. The egg roll was really greasy. Their bubble tea is really good.
