Our dinner experience was very poor. I ordered the 8 oz boneless charbroiled pork chop with a cranberry glaze. The waitress/hostess (maybe manager since she was only one there) said it was no longer boneless. I told her that was fine. My husband was debating between the chicken cordon blue and the pork chops and asked the waitress for a recommendation. She suggested the chicken and said this way we could share. When my meal came it was a skinny 2 oz pan fried pork chop, covered in heated cranberry relish in an attempt to hide the pork chop. The green beans with it were so well done I couldnt eat them. I told the waitress that the menu description should be changed to agree with the actual meal. She said she would discount my meal 10% (which was $1.50 off of the $14.95 dinner), then explained that I should have gotten two pork chops since they changed it to boneless. Although, two greasy pork chops wouldnt have made it any better. Supposedly the "new" chef didnt know how to plate the meal. That meal was so bad she should have taken half off or compted it. To top it off she said this was why she recommended the chicken cordon blu to my husband and I wasnt the first to complain about the pork chop meal. It would have been nice to get this information before I placed my order. However my husband said his meal was just so-so. Needless to say, we wont be back to this restaurant.

This is far and away Sun Citys best restaurant. Although things are not always five star, we have never had a bad meal or a situation that was not addressed by the staff if not the owners. There is a beautiful golf course view. This is a older building on a golf course and hard to find. Looks like a private country club but is open to the public (used to be the Golf and Racquet Club). The menu is traditional American with an emphasis on seafood, entrees from cheesesteaks to Steak dinners, wide variety on the menu. Our favorites are the Ruebens and Prime Rib dinners and the Mussels Monday special. Big plates of food for the $.

I liked the room & the view. Not too busy at 6p on Sat night. The service was good, though inexperienced and new. Wanted to try the corn couwder but our waiter said not a good choice. I attempted to order 2 other items off the appetizer menu, but was told they dont serve them anymore. I settled for a fresh Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The lettuce was not fresh, the chicken was very dry and cold. This is the 3rd time I have been here and very unimpressed with food. If it wasnt for my father-in-law wanting to go there I wouldnt and will not in the future.

We have been Bunko as a group of 50 or so here for the last year. The new owners have completely changed and the food is now all cooked to order with plentiful portions. With many of us on a fixed income the prices are agreeable, starting at $7 for a sandwich and we cant beat the free bread. I have not heard a single complaint from any of my members, with only small exceptions and we are very hard to please. I guess we have had over 1000 meals here as a group, very very good. Try the coconut shrimp, the best I have ever had.

Nice location on a golf course back off the main road. Really extensive menu of classic type dishes. It is in a very peaceful setting with floor to ceiling windows of the golf course and and a view people eating outside. I had the Grouper entree blackened, real grouper tassted fresh and was very moist. We shared a coconut shrimp app, very plump and not too sweet. The Chicken Marsala was very tasty. Vegetables were fresh and al dente. Very friendly server. Big portions for the $$

I have been a regular customer since my arrival a year-and-a-half ago. I got hooked on the Saturday night prime rib special and went back several times my first week in town. It is in the center of a residential community and is accessible by golf cart as well as cars. It has the atmosphere of a country club but is open to the public. They usually have entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights at the pub which is always a good time. My favorite restaurant in town.

We came to eat at Bunkers its the small pub by the golf coarse. We came in and seated our selves no greeting from the 2 bar waiters the place was not busy sat for 15 minutes with no acknowledgement from either one . As we are getting up to leave the waiter asked if we would like anything I replied not now! His reply was ok have a nice day with major sarcasm! Obviously he didnt care Long story short the service sucked and we will never return!

Wow!!! The friendliness people youll ever meet. The owner Mike is such a nice guy. He works seven days a week. Talk about commitment. This place is more than the service though. Ive had the Blackened Chicken Alfredo and the BBQ Ribs. Both were phenomenal. I will definitely visit this restaurant again whenever I am in town. You wont find a better restaurant near Ruskin.

Recommended by the desk clerk on check in. Ordered the Brushetta and mussels apps for the table, both good, the mussels were sweet. I had the Prime Rib special, excellent. Thumbs up all around the table. Returned for the Rib special they have at the sports pub, really falling off the bone. On a golf course, older crowd

we had dinner there last Friday night. The food was outstanding and very reasonably priced. The service was prompt and friendly. The live piano music added a very special touch to the evening. Planning on going back soon.

They have the greatest clam and mussel entree I have ever had, and at an unbelievably reasonable price! Its called the "Diver Down". I would highly recommend this dish to anyone who likes seafood!

The food was barely ok, the server forgot my salad and we had to ask for bread. But the kicker was it smelled musty and funeral-home like. It was like a nursing home. Yuck.
