Im vacillating between two and three stars for this place. There is a huge variety of things to eat, but there wasnt much of any one thing. Each steam table pan held about a plates-worth of food, but, of course, most people take a little of several different selections. Nothing was piping hot, except the hot and sour soup, which had a pronounced scorched taste. Other dishes were tepid, and the chicken wings were cool. I take that back...if you trolled the buffet with aplomb, you could catch a sizzling spring or egg roll, but whoopee...both of those were completely meatless and 98% shredded cabbage. I saw a sliver of carrot every third bite, but everything else was plain cabbage. The selections were very chicken oriented. There was one beef dish, with not much beef. I dont remember a pork dish. There were a few shrimp selections and a baked fish. A couple of fake "crab" dishes, too. There is a do-it-yourself hibachi bar, where you assemble a plate of raw ingredients and theyll cook it for you. Thats included in the cost of the buffet, but I didnt have time for that. Nobody else did, either, that I witnessed. It was Sunday evening and not very busy, which may be a different situation than normal. It was clean and the staff was the usual, reticent help that you find in Chinese eateries. Not friendly, really, but not overtly rude. Efficient, I suppose. Id go back on a busier night, just to see if the buffet is refilled better. Id also like to try the hibachi thing. But the spring and egg rolls suck. Put some other stuff in those things! Meat, especially. Three stars instead of two, just because it was after 8 on a Sunday night and thats probably not a representative visit.

I would like to spread some light on the comments below. This is authentic, and is priced so that people can have sushi without breaking the bank. The facilities are clean, but outdated. The staff try their best to be helpful, but cultural differences make it hard. For example, the waitress might be told to "be friendly" but take it as "sit and talk with you as you eat". I do agree that some of the boilers should be replaced and SOME of the food is not the warmest or over salted, but that is the stuff they are mass producing. If you get something that is fresh out of the kitchen like the Sushi or one of the newer plates of food, then its wonderful. Want something else? just ask. There is a hibachi cook ready to make meat the way you want it during the lunch hour. For the money, its a fine place to go. Albiet, it may be too diverse for many people. Also, I dont speak mandarin, but someone below said the staff will talk to you in Chinese. I am pretty sure they are Korean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Im sure if you asked them, they would enlighten you on their heritage. For the waitress who sits with you, you can kindly say "thank you for your time, but we have a private meeting". She just wants to ensure you are enjoying everything. I dont mean to discount any one from below, but I was just there and really enjoyed it. This is one of the few places you get a true oriental experience in this part of the country.

HEALTH DEPARTMENT NEEDS TO INTERVENE!!! This USED to be good. Not true anymore. Sushi was FROZEN and it was supposed to be fresh. The piece I had was frozen, fried! Can you imagine that taste? Gross. I have eaten at this place since they opened. The quality has gone so far down. My favorite is the egg drop soup. Last night I had to spit it out. THEY USED SPOILED CHICKEN! We are foodies and I know the taste and smell of spoiled chicken. I was backed up that it was spoiled by others at our table. BEWARE. that could kill a child. They have went from quality to bad. Look around, the waitress area was filthy and your drink glasses are right beside the garbage plates. Like that ice cream? How many people have touched the scoops without them being cleaned? We couldnt get the waitress to understand the soup was dangerous because she could not speak English. We told the manager but she left the product on the line after three people complained.

First and last time here. We had to clear our own plates and put them on another table. Drinks went dry and stayed that way. We came in just before they changed to dinner time and we werent told that seafood wasnt on the lunch menu. One of the waitresses started yelling at me and told me I cant eat the shrimp, which was tiny and way over cooked. She just kept saying the same thing. "No shrimp, shrimp only dinner." Another customer explained it to me. How in the world was I supposed to know? If youve got a rule like that people should know. I sat down at 3:45pm. They change to dinner at 4:00pm. I shouldve gotten an option for lunch or dinner. By the time I left there wasnt anything I was "allowed" to eat, except ice cream and salad. Before the change, I tried two different sauces (garlic and sesame) at the hibachi grill and they both tasted like teriyaki sauce.

Dont waist your time or money in this Restaurant!!! Ive never been to any place where the service was horiffic and the food was even worser... I dont usually bash businesses but this one really put a bad taste in my mouth... My family and I literally felt like we were being rushed out the door.... The facilities werent the cleanest at all either... They never kept crawfish nor crab legs on the bar and when they did bring them out, they were in very very small quantities.. The cooks had attitudes because my husband had to literally stand by the door to get some brought out..... I could go on and on but I wont... I think Ive gotten my point across, well never eat here again!!!

First time ever eating here and we ate at dinner. The staff was super nice and made sure our drinks was full. The only reason I give it a bad rating is because of the food. The fried rice was super dried out, like it had been sitting out since lunch or longer. There was maybe only a few things I would eat, like their egg drop soup, chicken on stick, and of course the hibachi. Everything was like dried out or nasty. It just seems the cooks didnt care about the food.

The food is amazing! I wish they would bring back the cucumber avacado and creme cheese sushi. Everyone is very sweet and service is pretty good. But the food....lol yummy! The price i paid for lunch for myself eating and having water came to $7.75. But the lady who took the money today couldve had a little less attitude when she was taking my money. Not sure what her problem was but overall the food was great! P.S. PLEASE TIP YOUR SERVERS?! THEY DESERVE IT.

This place was great. Lots of food to choose from. for 13 bucks you get all you can eat and any refillable drink. The SUSHI was amazing. I asked for fresh sushi and they brought us two dishes for our table only. They have a hibachi grill, all you have to do is take them the meat and veggies and they cook it right in front of you... takes 2 minutes and none of the things I mention cost an extra penny. Everything is fair game! MUST GO!! January 2012
