If I could give zero stars, I would. The food tastes good, but beware. This place is unsanitary, and I got SO sick after my last visit! Look up how many times theyve had the health department visiting them, and see the ridiculous amount of violations they have received with every visit. I went to dinner with my family one night to celebrate my promotion. My sister in law and I got some rolls that we shared off the same plate- the rest of the family ate something else. A little after a day later I got violently ill. Vomiting like there was no tomorrow, diarrhea, fever, and rectal bleeding!!! I had to rush to the ER because there was so much blood in the toilet. Ive never been so scared in my life. Come to find out, just a few hours later my sister in law got violently ill as well. We both know why and whos fault it is. I wanted Ichiban to take responsibility for what they put me through and requested that they paid my outrageous ER bill, however they would not do so because my ER papers didnt specifically say: This person got food poisoning from Ichiban. For those who have ever been to the ER before, ER docs do not write doctors notes. They gave me papers describing what was wrong with me and concluded with either food poisoning or a viral infection. If it was a viral infection, my husband would have gotten sick as we live together. My sister in law lives with her mother, father, and brother, and none of them got sick. Its pretty obvious that we did not have a viral infection- yet Ichiban offered no compensation what so ever, and I am stuck with a monstrous bill because of what they did to me. Oh did I mention I was 12 weeks pregnant when this happened? Talk about stress!!!! Learn from my mistake, you DO NOT want to go through what I went through!

I dont usually write reviews but this time I just HAD to!!! I have eaten at this place several times, those visits were great, the food was very good. I dont know if theyve gotten a new COOK or owners but either way...DON"T GO HERE. Tonight we got take out....WORST FOOD EVER!!!! I am not a picky eater(although a self proclaimed foodie, so I can appreciate good food) and do not like to throw out food but this was just HORRIBLE....We threw out everything except the sushi and the seaweed salad...I HAVE NEVER DONE ANYTHING LIKE THAT IN MY LIFE!!!! Some of the food was decent....spider roll, yellow tail sushi and seaweed salad. THE PITS... Steamed dumplings-thick tasteless pouches of dough with some filling that was flavorless. Pad Thai-worst pad thai Ive ever eaten. I dont know if these noodles were flavored or what...I"ve never seen PINK noodles for pad thai. It had no flavor. No green onions. No cilantro...Just disgusting. Beef Red Curry...inedible....the meat tasted like some pressed composition of meat that was breaded...terrible consistency and flavorless. The vegetables looked good but it was awful... Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

Let me preface this by saying that there is no excuse that it is not their specialty or it was made to go. In fact, I would argue that the "to go" customers have a higher profit margin for the proprietor, so more attention should be given to these customers. If you have it on the menu, I - as a consumer expect the best, whether it is your specialty or not. - Shrimp Pad Thai, "to go" was dry and almost inedible. There are tons of other Thai menu items at this location, so I expected some expertise in the Thai food. If you cant do Pad Thai, you might as well give up serving Thai food. Wonton soup gets a c-. Its average and it wasnt even garnished. The Yakitori chicken appetizer was basically jerky, - tough, dry and inedible. The pork fried rice is average, but over priced. Too many other restaurants make similar pork fried rice for less money. If you have it on your menu, it better be good. Otherwise, dont bother serving it. You only have yourself to blame.

Went today for a work meeting and ordered the lunch special two sushi rolls, and soup&salad. The soup(clear soup) tasted like they boiled salmon skin, strained it and took the broth and stuck it in a bowl with mushroom pieces nothing like I have tasted before (in a bad way). The sushi rolls I ordered were the salmon skin roll, and the California roll. The salmon skin roll tasted like they used the same skin for the soup which wasnt crispy but soft and tasted very fishy and the eel sauce they offered was thick and tasted like mar-mite and just made the taste worst, the California roll was okay nothing to brag about. the only think i actually liked was my salad. First time here, did not enjoy it.

I found that the servers were inattentive. When the water was brought out it was warm with very few cubes of ice. The food was ok but I was given a very icy reception and response to my dislike of the soup I ordered. The hostess told me that they would not comp my soup because there was nothing wrong with it. This was definitely a first for me at a resteraunt. Then she proceeded to be very cold and inattentive when I replyed that I would not be back. Her expression seemed to say, "good". As I sat and watched, the greeting for other customers seemed to be much warmer from the beginning. I am very dissatisfied with the service and will not return.

I spent $11.95 on the Volcano Roll, but the description didnt mention that it comes with imitation crab meat. The $6.95 Japanese-style seafood soup was so bland. It consisted of 2 pieces of the following: imitation crab meat, shrimp, mussel, and scallop, along with mushroom, green peas, and lots of cabbage. The $10.95 Pad Thai was also bland. The $8.95 Angel Roll was too salty from too much soy sauce or a soy-based sauce. I had to drink a lot of water between bites...barely edible. Next time, I will pay $20 for all-you-can-eat sushi in Sarasota. They arent fancy down there, but the food is delicious.

Very disappointed on our first time visit to this restaurant. Ordered the Beef teriyaki and its nothing more than chewy beef bites cooked medium-rare with a very watered-down teriyaki sauce with sauteed onions. You cannot really taste the sauce since it is so watery. the side salads had so much water in the bowl after they washed the lettuce that its almost half salad half soup. the clear soup was very bland. for the prices that this place charges, save your money and get a much better meal at Five Guys right across the parking lot.

I was visiting home and tried this place, that my brother recommended, the food wasnt authentic, the quality was horrible, I got diarrhea Amongst otther things and the customer service was poor, they didnt try to accommodate me, theyll pretty much tell you anything to get you out their face. And they offered me a $10 gift card and that wasnt even the amount that I spent. If you want real authentic good food go to Thai samurai around the corner, great quality, great food, better customer service.

Buffet sushi at best ... Just got done eating , tried the egg drop (fast food tasting) shumai (bland ,no flavor), 2 rolls spicy tuna and Hawaiian roll specialty roll.. Both rolls were not worth 10 bucks total much less 20 bucks. I eat sushi at least once a week and will not be going back . I had to try it just to make sure. Maybe someone that doesnt eat sushi that often might think its good but not what I would consider even close to being decent.
