Ive been to Vicky bakery several times, mainly because most of my favorite places are closed on Sundays for a good selection of pastries and coffee. I held off writing a poor review in the past because Im a very easy going person and I understand people have bad days, but last week Sunday was my last straw. I came in with my daughter who was practically asleep in my arms when the lady helping me put my food and coffee down on the counter without saying that my order was ready. She was helping 2 other people so I just stood there and wait. She took my money and slammed it down on a tray with cookies and walked off. There were 5 other employees working and there were about 5 people in line with me so its not like they were short staffed and overwhelmingly swamped. I finally put my daughter down and checked the bag to make sure it was my order on the counter and I left. The food here is usually cold, the coffee is good but the service is absolutely terrible! These ladies working need an attitude adjustment or they need to find another job not working with the general public. I am giving this place a 1 star review because of how many times Ive been in and its the same thing. To bad these ladies couldnt at least put on a fake smile from time to time because Ive worked in hospitality and customer service for over 15 years and Im an excellent tipper. Thats fine, Ill take my business somewhere else where its appreciated and spread the word about this place. Pastries and coffee are on every street corner in Miami.

Generally known for its high quality of food and deserts, I visited this location on Friday, May 10th while on the way to the park to see my twin three-year olds play. The kids are always joking about bringing them donuts so I figured that I would switch up and bring Cuban style cookies. Upon arrival, I noticed several different food options. Being hungry, I decided upon a Cuban steak sandwich. My order was promptly taken and the young lady went into the back to place my order. She disappeared for 13 minutes. I couldnt order my coffee as I waited or cookies for the kids. The other cashiers were helping other customers. When my cashier returned, I ordered my Colada only to have her start cleaning the machine. Ready to complain, I said to myself - okay, she is cleaning the machine - I should wait and not say anything. After the coffee, I went about my original intent and ordered five cookies. Overall, this place has good food and deserts. They are not big on customer service and getting people in and out. Although I dont speak Spanish, language was not a barrier. Just slow service. May I suggest someone else clean the coffee machines so you can get customers in and out? 20 minutes plus on a small take-out order was unaccepable. Had it not been for the high quality of the food, I would have rated one star. /s/ William E. Lewis Jr, Fort Lauderdale, Florida

El peor bakery que he visitado en mi vida. Siempre he visitados los de Hialeah todo fresco y muy riko. Pero este q pase a desayunar hoy. Las tostadas viejas y ni bien tostadas. No había pan solo. Tampoco abia Sprite. A mi esposo le dieron el café con lechera frío. La señorita de dulce de leche estaba vieja, tuve que votarla. La persona que me atendió muy déspota, nada que ver con los Vicky de Hialeah.

Very authentic Cuban bakery with homemade empanadas, croquetas, and cakes. I felt a little out of place from the locals there, but that is part of what makes it authentic.
