My wife and I just had a fantastic dinner at this place thanks to a close friends recommendation (His wife is Mexican, so that was a high endorsement to us). The service was fantastic, our waitress (Olympia) made us feel like family. My glass was never even close to empty, she never overstayed her welcome, brought everything out quickly and her recommendations based on what we told her we liked were absolutely spot-on. We had the beer battered fish tacos, chicken fajitas and some guac. Their chips are awesome, and the dip they use is very tasty with a little spice to it but no much, itll hold you up until your food is out. The food itself was as good as it gets. I travel to Mexico fairly often and this place has authentic Mexican food. Their menu is a good mix of spicy and not, which I appreciated. My wife likes spicy, so Olympia brought her a nice sauce that she really enjoyed. My number one complaint about Mexican restaurants in Miami is that they put cilantro on everything. Its as if their motto is "if it doesnt have cilantro its not Mexican". Well, not here, thank God! Sure, some of the dishes have cilantro, the pico de gallo does, as expected and as it should be; however as someone who doesnt like it I was able to have a wonderful Mexican meal without any of it (She even asked the chef to not put cilantro in our guac, which is made fresh, btw) Their Mariachi band is phenomenal too; they came out when we were about to leave and serenaded our table. The singers voice was fantastic, their violinist was very impressive, and the other two guys played their instruments really well too. Overall, we couldnt have possibly had a better date night.

A great place for traditional Mexican food in a relaxed and comfortable environment. The meal began with a free plate of chips and salsa. The salsa was lovely and spicy, with a chili richness that characteristics Mexican food for me the chips were a traditional deep fried tortilla broken into pieces. For appetisers, I began with Tostades - two crispy corn tortillas topped with black beans, lettuce, sour cream, cotija cheese and chicken, it was rich flavoured and delicious. My partner chose to have Queso Fundido, which was a Monterry Jack Cheese warmed with three soft tortillas to scoop it up. This was a nice cheese with pleasant flavours. For mains I had Torta Choriqueso, a loaf of telera bread split in half and filled with choriqueso, lettuce, refried beans, guacamole, pickled jalapeños and red onions. Choriqueso is an old favorite of mine, and this was a fine example. The picked jalapeños gave a lovely bite to the flavour of the whole dish. My partner had a Hamburger and Fries, the burger had tomato, lettuce and avocado on it and was cooked as he liked it. Overall a perfect meal.

I think this restaurant should stop delivery ! In 3 years I have been ordering from this place there is always an issue: 1/ barely English speaking 2/ terrible land line phone from where most the time they cannot hear what you order anyway 3/No one to double check the orders before sending them out, so 85 % chances something is missing.... Tonight we had no sauce with our fajitas.... You will think you call and they can fix that for you.... but no they do not pick up the phone because it is 10 pm and they cannot hear what you are saying, so they pick up and hang up right away: it is like saying the F word to your clients. THEY DO TAKE THOUGH a new automatic 15 % TIPS! This, apparently is not forgotten and works well. I just hope another competition and capable Mexican food restaurant opens very soon in Brickell...tonight was my last order from you guysx I am done ! The food is just ok anyway. If this was the first time, I would understand but NO, almost a strike each time.

Went here on a whim on a Friday night. I had heard about their very good happy hour but didnt make it on time. The ambience is definitely festive with loud music, attractive decor, and music videos playing on a big screen inside. The food was truly phenomenal. I had the chicken tacos and they are not kidding when they say it is pulled WHITE MEAT! it was sooooooo good. I hate the chicken tacos that have the mashed up chicken meat that they drown in a sauce so you dont know what youre getting. These were fresh, big, and absolutely delicious. My better half had the pulled pork tacos and they were really good as well. We ordered a pitcher of Corona and my only complaint here was that they had run out of plastic bags so we couldnt get an ice bag for it but no worries, we downed it so fast it didnt matter. I will definitely be back. Im actually planning on going today to try out their happy hour so Ill update this review soon!

We attended the new years eve event ($100 per person, four course meal and open bar). My wife and I were absolutely delighted. The food was beautiful, delicious, authentic from Mexico, and the staff were so incredibly friendly. The owner, Gerardo, was happy to bring us some of our food and drink; he always smiled and made absolutely sure we were happy. This is a great restaurant. We ate here before New Years as well to test the regular menu, and it is quite superb. Its hard to find a better michelada in the US. Try the enchiladas con mole.

El mejor lugar que he encontrado en Miami para comer comida auténtica Mexicana y con buena música. Tienen eventos típicos mexicanos y excelente servicio.

Although it is difficult to find great Mexican restaurants in Miami, this place has delicious food and proper portion sizes. We had a working lunch at La Mexicana and the food fully met our expectations. The decor is not very attractive, but it’s a great option to pamper your palate and enjoy their delicious specialties.

Authentic Mexican food and the best Margaritas ever!! The enchiladas and the Cochinita Pibil were my favorites. Awesome music and decoration! I totally recommend it for coming to hang out with your friends or even for a quick Mexican lunch.

Not sure why this place has such good reviews. I would expect my feet to be kissed after paying $16 for a burrito. Chips are not good and was given very little salsa. If you want a second round you have to pay.

Straight forward and delicious Mexican food, which is what I was looking for. The burrito salad bowl had perfect veggies, nice and fresh, on the plentiful side. Chips and especially salsa was delish!
