An awesome restaurant! The unique andvibrant decor really does transport you to the heydays of 1957 Havana, Cuba. I had the Mojito Classico, which was the best mojito Ive ever had! Im not sure which preparation is "more traditional," but a few aspects of the dishes were different than we had previously enjoyed elsewhere, at Cuban spots like Las Vegas and Padrinos. Not bad, just a little different. For instance, at other restaurants, black beans and rice are presented in two separate bowls, allowing the diner to choose the ratio and soupiness of their beans and rice. Havana 1957 combines the beans and rice in the kitchen (and uses more rice to beans than I would.) Also, my Lechon Asado (my regular order for Cuban food) was different, but still very good. Their preparation of yucca was delicious! Overall, a fair price for a great meal in the Brickell area, and an awesome mojito (although it was $11). Ill definitely be back on my next visit to Miami!

I grew up on puerto Rican and Cuban food and so when I went to miami to eat good Cuban food and I tried the restaurant that is known as: " the most famous cuban food: "Versailles"- I found it to be just AWEFUL! I later did a search for the best Cuban food in Miami and I found Havanna 1957 on Brickell and south Miami ave. The manager and all the employees were very kind. Miguel ( the manager) really went out of his way for us. I had told him about my experience about eating roasted pork ( lechon asado) at other restaurants and how aweful it was & if I didnt like the way it tasted here could I order something else. He said: "absolutely, but I promise you- youre going to love it . " and boy was he right. It was fantastic along with the white rice with black beans and ceviche. Everything was to die for. If youre looking for a great authentic Cuban restaurant in Miami, do not pass this opportunity up. This place is the bomb.

My husband and I went to Havana 1957 - Brickell based off a recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed. This was our last night in Miami and we ate at several restaurants including Zumba and Area 31, but Havana 1957 - Brickell was by far the best experience that we had since weve been here. The service was excellent (Thanks Luis!!!) and the mojitos were awesome not to mention the food. The fried red snapper was excellent. That being said the manager of the place Yoandrey was what made the experience top notch. You could tell he cared about the customer experience and he was passionate about the restaurant and the experience people received. He is a staple of the restaurant!!! Thanks Yoandrey and Luis for making our experience in Miami a great one! We will come back every time we are in Miami.

This place did not meet any of our expectations. We took our inlaws here and expected a Cuban restaurant in the heart of Miami to be a good choice. Especially in the Brickell area, the food was sub par to other local places. Not to mention very pricey. On top of that the waiter after we had tipped him as it was included in our bill, asked for an additional 20%tip...claiming the tip charged only went to the bar staff and not to him. Made everyone in the group (total of 10) look like we were trying to rip him off. Doing the math it was clear the tip was not for the bar. They force the most expensive plates on you whether you are in the mood or not for that type of food and service was nothing to be impressed by. Avoid going to this place and being disappointed.

The place is cool, decoration is great and the food is good, but we went there for a concert, I paid almost $300.00 in advance just for a table for the concert, before the event began we eat at the restaurant, and we spend more than $200.00, and when the event started the waiter wanted us to buy a bottle of $200.00 or we could not drink at all, she talked with imposition and almost rude, we asked for the manager and she tried to do the same, so we got really upset, claimed our rights and they just gave up to insist, clearly they were trying to make us paid more than we should, we almost leave but we wanted to see the concert and we had paid for it so we stayed, but we wont go back, it was an unpleasant experience

I was really excited to try their food after reading all the fantastic reviews. The first disappointment came when my drink was served, it was served in the smallest jar they could put it in with ice I only managed to have about 3 sips before it was over. Started opening the cutlery to prepare for the meal, both sets were dirty. The sandwiches were ok, nothing to write home about. But maybe I dont understand the idea behind cold cheese in a warm sandwich. And for some reason one of the servers thought it incredibly amusing to mimic me asking for hot sauce in English. Maybe the restaurant should teach its servers some basic manners since they probably havent been taught them in life.

The food here is very typical and authentic, like abuelitas cooking. The decor is really lovely - full of Cuban memorabilia and dark wood The manager Miky is absolutely fabulous. Talk about customer service! We went there with our 3 year old nephew who had a real hankering for Arroz con frijoles. Miky was so sweet, talking and smiling with our nephew the entire time. He made sure his food came out lightning fast and if youve ever had to eat with kids, you know you want to feed them first so you could then enjoy your own meal. So over all, this place has awesome service, good food, and a beautiful decor!

This place is a rip off. The manager is rude. The food takes a long time and if you ask or make a complaint the manager just look at you like you are crazy. They rip you off in the house charge we pay 30 dollars and we were only four people and the service wasnt even that good. Food is good but outrageously overprice. It does not have a parking which makes it a very inconvenience place. They also serve you very little portions. Not the place to go if you want to enjoy food and have a good time without being face to face robbed. I dont recommend and I will never eat there again.

This place is utterly fantastic. First, the food and drink offering is exceptional. The mojitos were delicious and were served with sugar cane sticks. The cevchie was fresh and flavourful. For mains, the ensalada havana was exceptional but the lecon asado was even better! Both cases the meat was exceptionally tender and juicy. I can also highly recommend the guava cheesecake. The atmosphere was equally authentic with live (not loud and overpowering...just right) music playing. To top it all off, the service was exceptional.
