This is not a standard Mexican restaurant - its a restaurant run by someone who loves Mexican food! The service is friendly and the management cares enough to let you know whats going on. The flat tacos with the steak I got were excellent; price was good too. I usually add a lot of sauce on my food, but not this time. The flavor was more than enough; excellent ingredients makes the difference as well as knowing what to do with them. Its goods to get it to go or to just relax and eat there. Also, the selection of sauces is unbelievable. You can sample a massive number either there or take some with you; you can buy sauces too. Some are really hot and others spicy and/or sweet. The flavors are awesome. If youre looking for an eatery thats different and affordable, this is one should be on your hit list in Ft. Walton.

Although the staff is very friendly and the restaurant seems to have a nice atmosphere, I will not be eating here again. The food was edible, but it definitely was not up to my expectations. I ordered Steak Enchiladas with a side of rice and beans. I had my order to go. The food was cold. The tortilla was not cooked properly at all, it was hard. There were a lot of toppings on top but barely any steak in the middle so I felt like I was eating a vegetarian enchilada or something. I basically ended up scraping all the steak out of the tortilla and mixing it with the rice and beans. That was my meal. Smh. I will stick to El Pasos. Ive yet to find a place that serves enchiladas better than them. And yes, Im a resident of Ft. Walton.

We went to Tijuana Flats after trick-or-treating on base that evening. Not only was the food fresh and delicious, but the customer service was amazing. One example: My 5 year old spilled her lemonade all over the floor and my husband and I felt terrible about the employees having to clean it up. One of the employees (I wish I had gotten his name) was so understanding and incredibly gracious. He just kept telling me not to worry about it. We had a group of 7 kids and 5 adults and he was so wonderful to everyone and very attentive. Ive seen many waitstaff elsewhere get annoyed about having to clean up spilled drinks, but he was exemplary. Thank you, TF, for an awesome visit!! Well be back!!

Management horrible. So little food for the price. If I hadnt paid for the food in advance we would have walked out. We had been there many many times before and it was always good. But not this time. A teaspoon of beans for $2.69 is a bit steep. Management said that is their portion size and didnt do anything to try to make it right. We will NEVER go there again. Dont waste your money here unless you want to leave hungry. We spent $25 for one adult and one child and had to go somewhere else to eat when we left. If you like Tijuana Flats I would recommend a different location.

The restaurant and the staff are wonderful. I have been going there for years. Certainly they run in to issues like any other restaurant but it’s the customer service and the way they handle these issues that will have me coming back again and again. The food is fantastic, always fresh and taste great! Love the hot sauce bar. Always a fun night out for my whole family. The Manager at our Fort Walton Beach, FL location, Vera Mae is great! On my most recent visit, Luke helped me and was great as well. Highly recommend eating here.

Pulled into the parking lot and from the looks of the place on the outside (rehabbed fast food joint), we werent sure if we were going to stay. Had a quick family debate about going in. Didnt know what to to expect. Glad we decided to stay! Service was fantastic, food was very good (fish tacos, flautas, burritos), and the hot sauce bar was a pleasant surprise that made the whole trip worthwhile. Did I mention the service was fantastic? Id go back again just because of the outstanding waitstaff.....and the hotsauce :)

This past visit we placed an order online, in the order we added blackbeans&rice for sides to both entrées and added black beans to one of the items. For them to notice black beans added to the one item and not put black beans&rice as the sides doesnt make sense to look over this simple side choice. Usually, I go to the Pensacola TF....I messed up by going to this one. This isnt the first time FWB TF has messed up my order. Oh well, at least the main item had the beans on it.......

Food is okay but the hot sauce bar is great. We had burritos, quesadillas, tacos, and a huge salad. Chips were crisp and lightly seasoned. Everything looked good and was served in a fair amount of time, but (like most restaurants in this area) they seem to be afraid of using ANY seasoning. The only flavor ends up coming from their extensive hot sauce bar. They also have a decent craft beer selection to wash it all down. If only the food had some flavor besides the hot sauce....

The food is mediocre. Ive been here twice now and didnt really care for the food either times. I got the Philly cheese steak flautas and before I had the nachos. The queso is the sharp cheddar cheese and it wasnt melted all the way when we got it. The flautas were plain tasting. The possible side though they have a nice hot sauce bar where I used the chili sauce and made everything taste better. Dogs are welcome also which is why I give it a 3rd star instead of two.

Best tacos I have had in a long time! Came here on recomendation of a friend and definitely worth it. The waitresses were very attentive and helpful! They were alway checking up on us and very kind! They also have an awesome "hot bar" that has about 20 different hot sauces! They also have a fantastic atmosphere the whole place is great I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great fresh Mexican food!

Tijuana flats brings the feeling of Tijuana to you, a feeling that one can do without. Although, you may find these accommodations acceptable. The food itself is adequate enough, this is no delicatessen. I will however, say that the service is passionately swift. I also would prefer to be seated and waited on as opposed to ordering at the counter. Tijuana Flats is at least worth a passionate try.

Great food and great people, the first time I came to this place I didn’t even make it three steps into the door before I walked out. Then I went with some friends and really found a great place. This place has quickly became, my favorite place to get lunch or dinner. A meal for two can be had for about $17-$20. If you like Mexican, you have to try Tijuana Flats

I first experienced the original T-Flats in Orlando and there is no match for its quality. My sister and I tried this location in FWB and it was still great. The decorations are funky and lovable, and the service was amazing. We had people holding doors open for us, refilling our drinks, and offering to throw away our trash for us. And of course... the hot bar!!
