A Real French Bakery! I have been to many so called french bakeries, but this is the real deal. Chef and Owner Laurent does all of the prepping, baking and cooking... Everything made from scratch. Hes the Real Deal, a true Pastry Chef. This place takes you out of the beach and transports you to Paris... The atmosphere is genuinely not from this area. Youll feel relaxed and fulfilled with their array of pastries and coffee. Come in for breakfast, a mid afternoon coffee and pastry or just to relax and enjoy a cup of wine, come in, say Hi to Chef Laurent, who is always in the kitchen, behind the see thru glass, with a big smile, making wonderful pastries for all to enjoy... You will not be, in any way, disappointed.

I have to say this was so far the best experience I have had in Fort. Lauderdale. The place was the perfect escape back to Europe complete with French speakers, French-Provence deco, and yummy food. The food was DIVINE, to say the least, and completely traditional, and the service was amazing. My sister and I stumbled upon Nanou and decided to stop in for coffee due to rain, ended up staying for lunch, and bought baked goods to take back to our hotel with promises to return in the morning for breakfast. Which we fully intend on fulfilling. After living in Europe for most of our childhood this place encompasses the perfect European style bakery.

We wanted to do something different and great. Nanou offered this and MORE. A beautiful bakery/restaurant. Great ambience and definitely a quiet nook away from the frenetic energy of the beachside. The young lady at the register was very nice and had an outstanding disposition ( the lady before we were served was a complete jerk), she handled her customers with poise and kindness. The food: Cest Magnifique! Food that is fresh! Ample servings and delicious all around. The baked goods are outstanding. Before we left we discussed what we would order the next time we came to Nanou. Definitely a must see and enjoy spot on the Las Olas strip.

This place is so cute and crossaints are very good! I had the chocolate croissant and the ham and cheese. Both were fantastic. I also like how they serve fresh squeezed orange juice in the fancy orange juicer that virtually every cafe in Europe has. Those are my favorite. The service was excellent. Even though you order at the counter and they prepare it there, they still came over to my table to check on me after I sat down. They were also speaking French in the kitchen which to me is exact what you want when you visit a French bakery stateside.

perhaps THE best croissant Ive ever had! it was so buttery and soft that my boyfriend and I had to get another. I knew we were in for a treat when we walked in and were hit with the smell of fresh baked goods. the staff was super friendly and the pastry chef (an authentic Francais) personally greeted and thanked customers for their business. that was a nice touch. it felt like a hidden gem just off the main drag along the beach. the restaurant was cozy and clean. you almost felt like we were in Paris.

Growing up in Ireland wheres theres plenty of French bakeries around you develop an appreciation for how French bread should be made at an early age. Nanou French Bakery does not disappoint. I discovered this place by accident on a hungover Friday morning and will now not go anywhere else for a French baguette. The selection of authentic French foodstuffs is fantastic and the staff are very welcoming. I absolutely love this place.

I stopped in and had "Le Parisien" - a ham sandwich with butter on a baguette. Simple and delicious. I was disappointed that they forgot the cornichons, but given that Nanou its run by a genuinely French proprietor, I decided not to bring it up. They also offer a free French language newspaper and the AC was nice and brisk. The next time Im in Fort Lauderdale, Ill be back to try the pastries.

Cest si bon! The very best almond croissant Ive ever had and I am comparing with places in Italy, Spain and France. So moist and perfect amount of sweetness. The custom omelette was amazing too, so moist and with the perfect amount of spinach and cheese. I so enjoyed the cappuccino. I must stop in Las Olas.

Very good quality bread and pastry. Not just European style but genuine French. Youll actually find a French baker who emigrated from Paris France to the US with his family and owns and runs this bakery. We bought croissants and a baguette; made on site and still warm. Delicious. Absolutely 5 out of 5.

Excellent croissants and best brioche Ive ever tasted! The smiling young man who greeted me on my first visit told me, with a sense of pride, that he "baked the bread", indicating with his hands the treats in the display case. He deserves to be proud of his work; it is exceptional.

I enjoyed my visit and was able to experience a range of their products! I loved everything! The food made me feel like Europe wasnt so far away. The couple who run it were very inviting and pleasant. Though I wish I lived closer to the bakery, I will certainly visit again!

Great find!!! Fantastic atmosphere and service. The food is authentic and delicious. (Took me back to my vacation there) The quiche was fluffy, almond tart was perfection, fresh squeezed orande juice, smooth coffee; I couldnt have asked for better. Merci et à bientôt.

Really cool place in a great location. Everyones friendly, decor had a homey feel and plenty of seating. Parking is a challenge because so few spots sand my Breakfast quiche was just luke warm. But all in all a great little bakery

Charming place close to the beach. Run by French expats and the food proves it -- excellent sandwiches and baked goods, and very good coffee. A favourite for breakfast and lunch. Highly recommended.

The reason I gave a 4 star is because the service, it took a semi-long time for our food to arrive and it was delivered in segments so we could not enjoy together. Otherwise the food was great.

The bakery items are fresh baked and very delicious. Flaky and the right consistency. My daughter who is very picky loved the croissant with eggs and bacon. With the visit.
