After a sweaty summer stroll through the National Arboretum, jump down the street to Checkers for a chocolate milkshake the size of your face. Dont forget an order of Checkers famous french fries for dipping! Burgers are smaller than youd get at comparable chains, but just load up on those delicious fries and youre good to go. Food is greasy but not gross. Double drive-through keeps the wait short, but getting into their parking lot can be difficult when traffic snarls on New York.

How to describe this place. GREAT FRIES!!! Service is ok. Neighborhood is pretty terrible. Wait times are horrible (15+ minutes is pretty standard). Things Ive seen while waiting for my fries (did I mention their fries are excellent?) 1. Robbery 2. Staff threatening customer. 3. Customer threatening staff 4. Customer indicating they have a gun to staff. 5. Woman fall out of car. 6. Car breakdown. But the fries are excellent!

I find myself eating at this place at least once a week as I work nearby it is so great that they are 24 hours a day because I work overnight shift and many times I find myself starving at 3 or 4 oclock in the morning, this place always has hot food, friendly faces and very fast service

At busy corner, may have to wait for parking if needed. Drive thru is available. Walk up service was quick and they have awesome mango smoothies in regular and large. After one, you will be back for more.
