I wish I could give this place less than one star my husband I came here on a Sunday afternoon after reading good reviews on Yelp . My husband ordered the chicken sharwama and I ordered the curried salmon with green olives . When my dish came and I tasted it the fish did not taste like salmon it had a very fishy smell and was a bit dry too ..... I know my fish very well and the fish I was served was not salmon. When I voiced my concerns and asked the waitress to change the dish she came back saying that she cant take the dish off the bill as the dish is not part of the mediterranean cusine ( whatever that meant ) I canceled the order ate a little of my husbands sharwama and walked off the restaurant completely disappointed with the food and service . This is the first restaurant that I walked off without giving a tip . Would never go back and would never suggest this place to anyone

I have order 2 Moroccan tagins 1 lamb and 1 chicken. I doubt it was HALAL chicken still have blood in it and they was not cooked at tagin so it is not Tagin at all. they were 2 small piece of chicken with couple pieces of potatos and olives with a lot of water, i call it water because it is not sauce the price was $14, I call this stealing, cus the whole toasted chicken in shoprite is only $5.99. i m not advertising for shoprite, it is just a comparison. food was really bad and delivery was very late. i do not recommend this place to anyone. i gave 1 star because there is not -10 on rating.

A wonderful place to enjoy fantastic food, and great, friendly service. Just last night was there, and it was the Thursday seafood night. My husband had the seafood paella, and said it was the best meal hes had there - among many excellent meals! I had the salmon with olives/vegetable topping (cant remember the exact menu name), and it too was fantastic. So along with the amazing Moroccan breakfast, & soothing mint tea, the evening was a hit. Olive Tree has become my favorite place in Newark when I want something special for lunch or dinner. So glad its there!

Came here for my moms birthday dinner, she had heard about it from some friends of hers at work. I got Shawarma which was delicious (I had never had it before) and their Mint Tea is probably the best Ive had yet. The owner of the establishment was very friendly and engaging. He came over and talked to us once or twice as we were eating to make sure everything was okay. Had a very good experience and I would definitely recommend to others!

This is probably the best or at least most authentic Moroccan/Mediterranean food weve had in Delaware or Pennsylvania. Everything prepared shows there is a great sense of pride on the part of the owners in their business. The mint tea is absolutely delectable! The hummus is spot on, and you cant go wrong with any of the sandwich options either! Weve made it one of our regular stops!

Outstanding Mediterranean food!!! Reasonably priced, clean, nice atmosphere and music, even romantic. Friendly helpful staff. Owner stops by tables to see how it was. Food was fresh, perfectly prepared and seasoned, decent portion size; just like grandmother used to make. The tea is excellent! Bathroom was clean. Highly recommended!

The food is excellent, the decor simple and fuss-free, the service attentive, and the parking is easy. What is not to love? We had the dolmeh (best in the area!), kebab and rice and salads (seasoned well and cooked perfectly). The rice, sauces, and bread were also very well done. If you need a fix of good food, come here!

Best Mediterranean restaurant in the area! Took 5 coworkers there for lunch, and one of the coworkers came back for dinner. Got them to cater for work later that week, and several colleagues said they were going to eat there again this weekend. I think this will be a staple for our workplace for a long time.

Great food and service. Sangria was generously sized and delicious. The location is meh, in a plaza next to a grocery store and liquor store. But do not let that detract you. Had the quiche, which was fantastic. Hubby had the falafel sandwich, very yummy. We will be back...

Wonderful food cooked in traditional Mediterranean fashion. I unknowingly walked in on French night so my meal was accompanied by live accordion music. The atmosphere is beautiful and the food inexpensive. My only complaint is that the beer and wine list are lacking.

Awesome Greek food, and a very nice atmosphere. My favorites are the spanakopita and the kabobs. The service is friendly and perfect. I give it 5 stars. The bar is limited to wine and beer but good selections. You wont be disappointed.
