i go here about once every two months we get seated rather quickly and he waitress is always really helpful. when it comes down to the food it comes down to ordering the basics only. since i always go in a group i get to see and taste how well they prepare different things on their large menu. breakfast foods are always good never had a problem. pastas, burgers, and sandwiches are ok too but when i start ordering their dinners like their turkey dinner, roast, steaks the quality just goes straight down. i end up with a bland and overcooked steak, turkey that even loses when compared to school lunch turkey aside with squishy stuffing, tasteless gravy over pasty mash, the roast has seen better days ... i dont really enjoy going here but when its 1 am there really arent that many options around, their juice portions are about the size of a juice carton you get for your kids lunch box at least their prices are not bad. it seems to to get most of its business from the drunken college crowd that appears after the club closes...

We were a little leery of eating at the Goldroc diner because of all the negative internet reviews, but the place has been around forever and no restaurant could stay in business if it were as as bad as all that ... so we went for a late breakfast one Sunday afternoon and were surprisingly pleased with our meal. Our order: 2 eggs over easy with hash browns, bacon, and wheat toast. Short stack of pancakes. 2 eggs sunny side up with hash browns, sausage links, white toast + an extra order of white toast. Tea, hot chocolate with whipped cream, water. Total: $19. The diner was clean and well lit. The booths were comfortable. Our waitress was prompt and courteous. The food came quickly and was properly prepared. Yes, it was standard diner food -- nothing fancy or extraordinary -- but the portions were generous and tasted good.

20 years ago when I started going to the goldrock the food was awesome and so was the service. The goldrock was so popular that many Friday and Saturday evenings you could run into a 20 minute or longer wait to get seated. Now you are are almost guaranteed a seat anywhere in the resturant you want regardless of time or day of week. The thing that I think also hit the resturant hard was the law that outlawed smoking indoors. Many of the people who made up a large portion of their business where college kids, people getting out of bars and getting food before heading home and people getting out of second shift work who smoked and now withe the ban and declining food quality people like me are passing on eating here. I will only go here to meet friends and talk to them as they eat. Service is still good.

Cons: The food was very greasy. The manager and owner refused to refund my mother the food she didnt get to eat although she only ate one wing and couldnt eat the rest. My sister couldnt eat her burger as well. Considering she is pregnant and asked for it to be well done, it was not. Its unfortunate because i have heard great things about this diner from friends and my sister. This was my first time eating here and now my last. I would not reccommend this diner to anyone. If you are not satisfied with your food, there is zero consideration about fixing that. Best to be safe than sorry if you are hungry, this shouldnt be an option. Pros: Friendly waitresses. Cindy was our waitress, she was excellent. Great prices and lunch specials.

On 2-25-17 around 9:15pm I arrived with my wife and my 3 daughters. As we walked in we was greeted by a lady who seemed mad that we walked in. We was seated and was only given 2 forks 2 knives for five ppl. Then we place our order and one of my daughter got a BLT the bread was burned 75%. I was extremely disappointed, 1 or maybe 2 bad things may be a mistake but 3. I have work in the delivery business for 16 years and I never seen a chef or a waiter allow any food to leave his or her kitchen in that condition. Im sorry its the only time in my life that I felt like I could not leave a tip. From the moment I step in there I felt not wanted. So I will never return.

Only for people drunk that will b visible impair..Not only the bold head waiter make me wait minutes after talking to his friends to place my order, he was picking his teeth with a pick and went to serve my burger without washing his hand,and the burger was raw,and nasty.i pay for it,i pay for one bite but i show them is the principals only drunk people dont know the difference,good luck eating there.and remember hows in the kitchen,no sanitary gloves,nasty.very nasty food,and they dont make the Salad or any food in front of you,nasty

Greasy, disgusting food which is totally overpriced - that is what you get from eating at this restaurant!!!!! Honestly, I would love to be able to leave a total of 0 stars, but this not an option!!! Dont ever eat in this disgusting place which they call a restaurant!!!!!" Not only is the food nasty and greasy, but most of the servers there are completely rude and obnoxious!!! Not to mention, there were roaches crawling around the window sill area when we ate here!!!! This nasty roach motel should be closed down!!!!

As a travelling salesperson who was starving at two AM I just had to stop somewhere. I saw the GOLDROC sign on I 84 and figured "oh just another rip-off greasy spoon joint." I was totally wrong. Two cups of coffee,a fabulous omelete with home fries and sausage, a smile from my server, TV to watch, no hassles, no noise, and when I was finished the server asked if I would like a coffee on the house! I dont get this kind of service at home! GOLDROC ROCKS!

Service is slow, food is mediocre at best (cant tell if youre eating the tuna or the chicken salad...). Prices are a bit high, too. Asked for eggs over medium and got clear, runny whites. Ordered chicken nuggets for my son and they were still cold inside. I have given it chance after chance over the years. Yes, its 24 hour, but bad food is still bad, even at 2am. Finally, this is not located in a nice neighborhood.

Went here on my weekly girls date with my bff. I ordered the goldroc burger. It was gross, nasty, and cold. She ordered the turkey club. Although we didnt see roaches crawling on the wall as other reviews stated, i was quite disgusted when i read other peoples comments. The waiter wasnt bad, but forgot to bring my lemons with my diet coke. I would not want to eat here again. Sorry

Good food but the sneaky cashier over charged my debit card.... And yes I did leave a good tip for two people dinning in. Now they would have to go through reciepts and speak to the cashier on theyre next shift. If you ask me, they have a poor system. No trust in the employees!!! They can keep the difference but next time its cash only!!

This is the most amazing 24 hour good stop I have ever come across! I am a very picky eater, and the food is incredible! The staff is SO friendly and energetic at all hours! Anything you get on the menu is delicious and tasteful.. After a late movie or a night on the town, Gold Roc Diner is the place to chow down and enjoy great food!
