Not so great, And WAY overpriced! My boyfriend and I went for dinner on a Friday night. First impression; very "trendy" and classy. After we were sat a waiter came over and offered us water. Then our waitress moments later. She was friendly and helpful. We ordered drinks and an appetizer which came out quickly and prompt. Down hill from there...... First off, the music they were playing was very annoying. It was like a trendy slow techno. Which I guess goes with the theme they were attempting, but not so romantic. Seeing as how they have a full Italian menu, maybe they should have played a more authentic playlist. With the dim lighting and the "expensive" feel in this restaurant, the music just didnt fit. Then dinner.... the food took FOREVER to come out. I ordered a burger and my boyfriend ordered the chicken parmigiana. The burger was delicious but the chicken parm (which was more than double the price of my burger) was terrible. The pasta was cold and the chicken was not so great. We told the waitress that the pasta was cold and she brought a plate of "replacement" pasta which was so hot it couldnt even be enjoyed. They also had a kid walking around (literally in circles) taking empty dishes off of tables and making sure everyone was full and happy. This was awkward and weird. At one point he asked my boyfriend if he was "all set" with his wine, which still had about 4 sips still in it. (Mind you this was a $9 glass of Josh Cab which can be purchased for about $18 for a bottle at a package store) They were not busy, had open tables, and wayyy overstaffed, seemed like everyone was walking around looking for something to do. We found ourselves anxiously awaiting our check, ready to get out of there. $120 later... so not worth it! Im giving this restaurant 2 starts because my burger was good. But this restaurant needs to hammer down the theme, staff and pricing. You cant charge these prices for crappy food. My $11 burger was priced beautifully and well worth it, but that chicken parm!? $25.00?!!? No salad, no bread.....COME ON!! I could have made that at home with an .88 cent box of pasta, a $2.00 jar of spaghetti sauce with a fried chicken breast. Not kidding! I will Not going back here.....

Okay, now Ive been here twice, once with some girlfriends and again last night with my husband and another couple. I have to say that the menu is ambitious and well-executed and easily competes with, if not, surpasses most restaurants in the greater Waterbury area and even statewide. As for the service, it has been night and day. The first time I dined our waitress was so inept that I wanted to hug her like my daughter and she seemed on the verge of tears. That being said, after dining again last night, the service was impeccable. My husband can be a little impatient with waitstaff (hes a perfectionist), but our waiter was clearly 3 steps ahead of him the whole way. When asked for a wine selection, the waiter suggested that we wait until after we picked our entrees and he would base his pick on that...and surprise, he didnt bring the most expensive bottle on the list. Recommended Dishes - French Onion Soup, Scallop Entree, Mushroom Raviolis, Hanger Steak + an appetizer plate of assorted little goodies!

Tonight we had reservations for 8(placed in advance) for a special event. We arrived at 1249 only to find out they never had our reservation. We had to wait for about 20 mins, and they put us upstairs in a room that is hardly used. The waitress was great and new. This is when our experience turned bad. We were brought upstairs, the air was blowing so hard, 2 of our seats were unbearable to sit under. The 8 meals we ordered, only 4 were right. The manager of the night did not do anything about all the trouble we had. I think he ended up taking off a few bucks on one order that was under cooked twice. The manager came up to talk to the waitress after he found out about our experience. He walked up the stairs and didnt even make eye contact with our table put everything on the new waitress to deal with our problems. Wow, I thought 1249 would be a nice experience, turned out a very bad one.

Was recommended to check out this wine bar from a coworker, I saw a view bad reviews about it online but decided to try it out anyways, my boyfriend and ! went together and to be honest I could not say one bad thing about it, the whole entire experience was amazing, the menu on an ipad was very cool! we had both red and white wine, we had the raw seafood appetizer, steak dinner and a lobster rizzotto dinner for our meals, and for dessert we had the creme brulee! ever single portion of our meal was to die for! we were both completely blown away! the overall experience just made it even 100x better, the atmosphere is so adorable & very classy, the staff was more than friendly and they really made us feel welcomed! we are actually considering making this our weekly date night venue!

Not so good! 3rd time giving it a chance. Wont be back. The Food is so so... The service was bad!!! We ordered our lunch and no set up was given to us. The food came out, then she gave us our silverware. The bar tender and the waitress openly talked about the owner at the bar. Didnt like the new policy, about the staff sitting at bar and other staff policy changes. (?) Really? Shame on the two of them. We own a Restaurant!!! Yeah employees talk... However, they should have been more tactful! You never know who you are waiting on!

Tried this place with some girlfriends. Decor is wonderful, but they need to dress the wait staff better. Our waiter was very disheveled and looked like he was wearing jeans that werent washed for a month. Jeans on their staff does not fit with the restaurant decor. In addition they did not explain the layout and just sat us in the dining room. We would have much preferred one of the bar areas. Appetizer menu should be expanded to include items that pair well with wine for a light fare.

This is the worst pizza ever. I travel for my job and have pizza as my dinner sometimes. This was the worst ever. Tasted like smashed burnt toast with dry chicken on it. They should be ashamed of themselves. Complete disgrace to all pizzerias. I am glad I picked up some pistachios at the CVS next door. I would recommend the frozen pizza at CVS for sure.!! I wish I could make the person that made this eat it. If they werent disgraced, then no one should ever eat here. Beware.

This place is the worst, we waited for 45 minutes after placing order for our wine. And they said oh we cannot find that wine let us pick for you. How can you place a drink order not be served for 45 minutes and get told we dont have that in stock. Cannot tell you about the food either because we walked out and they did not even care. I dont even give them a one star. This place is terrible.

Great place, we sat outside and enjoyed the evening. The best wine by the glass selection around. The home made fire roasted habanero tequila was put in a mango margarita and was incredible, our small party had several of them. Well be back many times! Oh yeah the food. we never have had a bad meal, always done perfectly and delicious.
