Very disappointed with this place. The service is courteous and prompt but the actual culinary experience for me started off on a wrong note as the Mojito that I ordered failed to provide any kind of buzz at all despite my empty stomach. In fact, I couldn’t even taste any alcohol in it. I ordered a pani puri for starter which was so overflowing with stuffing that I had to empty them out and put them back in smaller quantity. That was of limited help though because, the stuffing was missing the most essential ingredient of pani puri, the potato, absence of which along with the average quality of spiced pani puri water left me dissatisfied . Things did not get better from this point on . The main course was Kerala fish curry which was highly recommended by a friend who had been at the restaurant a few months ago. However, the chef must be having a bad day because the fish curry was one of the most disappointing I have ever tasted. It was lush and rich to look but what was appetizing to the eyes somehow failed to carry over to the tongue. The curry lacked flavor and the fish pieces tasted bland as if they were simply added into the curry at the end of the preparation without any attempt at marinating. There was a generous helping of black pepper at the top perhaps as a hurried belated effort to impart some taste to the dish; a poorly conceived effort judging by the result as it only succeeded in imparting some irritation to my throat and my temper. To top off the utterly disappointing food, the laccha parantha that I ordered with curry tasted like a re-heated frozen item bought from a nearby indian store. Ultimately, I wasn’t able to finish the food. I walked out of the place having dropped $52 , my good mood, and a bad feedback .

Today (9/18/2016) at noon I visited this restaurant to try its grand buffet. They had a significant food layout that included bhajjia, chilli mushroom, patties, chicken Tikka, Calamari Caromandol. About 14 bowls of optional addons. There was Midhy Cada, Mutton Ragan Josh, Manglorian Chicken, Saag Paneer, Chicken Tikaa Masala, Bindi Dopyaza, Aloo Baingan, vegetable Poriyal, Dal Makhari, White Bastmati rice. The salad bar had 4 items. The sweets included rice pudding and Gulab Jamun. They also served their warm roti at the table. The service was excellent, the food very good. I tried just about every dish. I have been here before and must confirm that if anything they have raised their standards. This is a great fare for a buffet at a reasonable price. Of course they have other specialty dishes on their regular menu that are my favorite, in particular their Phal Lamb which is very hot and spicy. I would recommend this restaurant highly at literally 5 stars

This restaurant sucks. The restaurant serves the most bland indian food you can ever find. I hate to call it as indian food. The restaurant might be liked by many who really can not tell what is the authentic indian food. If you love bland food, then you will love this restaurant. This is spicy and it to my surprise, they serve Beef. as you will not find Beef in indian restaurants. This guy thinks he is intelligent. he names many items in menu with the indian names, so you get tempted to think that it is your own food, he names the items from all the regions in south india, so every indian from south india thinks that it is their own kind of food. In the end the food is prepared bland even if you ask for spicy, in the worst case, he will add 2 or 3 spoons of chilli powder and will call it as spicy. this is one of the horrible indian restaurants. I had to go there couple of times, just because my colleagues cannot/do not know real indian food.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I used to like Coromandel. The food was pretty good, and the manager, Matthew, was always pleasant to deal with when there was an issue. The past few times I ate at Coromandel the silverware was dirty and last week I found a BLACK HAIR in our Sham Savera...DISGUSTING! Not to mention, when I asked to speak with Matthew, a "Mr Johnson" came out. This man was arrogant and could not care less about these issues. It seems this Mr Johnson has a few things to learn about running a successful business. I would recommend Tawa if youre in Stamford and have a hankering for Indian food and dont want to be treated like garbage.

Mind you, everything Ive heard about the place is that it is inconsistent - which implies that I happened to be there during an up-cycle. But boy, what an _excellent_ up-cycle! The "Nellore Chapla Koora" was fiery - Andhra fiery - but without losing any depth or complexity. The tandoori chicken was...unctous. Thats the only word that applies The kheema naan had an _excellent_ lamb filling. And the raita was appropriately cooling ex post facto Mind you, we _did_ order a bottle of Sula Sauvignon Blanc, which turned out to be the weak link. It may be great when one is in Bangalore, but here, go with something else :-)

Not my first time eating here and will definitely not be my last. The food is spectacular in variety, flavor and presentation. Not to mention you cant get much fresher when it comes to any dairy or bakery products. Their dairy farm produces milk, cheese, butter, ice cream and their bakery across the street makes bagels, rolls, and breads. If you have a chance, you should visit their dairy farm which is not too far from the restaurant. It should be called a spa for cows seeing how they are taken care of. Best restaurant on the East Coast !!!! Excellent !

Coromandel is the processed baby food version of Indian food!! Rename this place Bland and Boring. It may be the "best in the Tri-State area" but all that tells me is that all of the Indian food in this region is terrible! Ive sadly had to go numerous times because friends want to go there. We lived in London for 7 years and experienced fabulous Indian food prepared by chefs that get Michelin mention, friends, etc. The two are NOTHING alike. I may be a white chick...but this doesnt do justice even for me!

I was relatively impressed with how they handled a group of 18 - there were a couple of issues with remembering who ordered what, but overall the customer service here was pretty good. The food was only okay. I had the Malai Kofta and while the sauce was delicious, I thought the dumplings were pretty bland and there texture seemed a little off. I realize they would be creamy with the addition of the cheese, but they were kind of squishy as well. The Naan was pretty good and was served warm.
